A lot of events takes place here, a place or venue for (mostly) outdoor sports, concerts, or other events and consists of a field or stage either partly or completely surrounded by a tiered structure designed to allow spectators to stand or sit and view the event.Great experience. Not a good infrastructure in this small stadium. But good for locals as they play football and cricket in this stadium.During our visit I played cricket watch in this stadium. Not much facilities in this stadium and hence this place is used by the locals.This stadium falls in my way home .I have visited this place a several times.The place is located just beside Acropolis Mall.

Complex is the newly established  stadium in Kolkata. Length of 57.5 metres, the stadium has a massive seating space for 4000 people. Besides, it has a separate area for indoor games and a gymnasium.They even give parking all around the year for cars.As we visited ACROPOLIS MALL we had to park your car, it was so convenient to park the car in Gitanjali Stadium as it is so near.Open Time: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Very good and clean space. The gallery is of concrete. The facilities are good. However, the field is not having good grasses. It is full of patches without grass. Also, there is no good parking facilities nearby.

The ground in Kasba has been converted into a stadium. Been there few times to see my daughter participate in school sports. It’s good for such sport events. It also holds CAB cricket matches.

Gitanjali has a very big feild,large area, no shade,but a little parking problems,open space,you can easily find this place,beside gitanjali it have a mall, acropolis.

Position wise it is in the best place in south kolkata, very very near to rb connector, short walk distance. I went there for my cousin brothers School s annual day function. It is located just beside the Acropolis Mall. It is well connected from Gariahat and Ruby crossing through buses and autos and is very near to Kasba. The nearest Railway Station is Ballygunge and the nearest Metro Station station would be Ruby Hospital after the completion of New Garia-Airport metro link.

A small stadium on Rasbehari Connector near Ruby Crossing. Beside Acropolis Mall. Very accessible from any part of Kolkata. Generally small events such school sports, some fair & functions.

Small Stadium with average grass on the field. Good for school, college sports & for kids to play. Gallary is open, no shades. Stadium is still under development process. Its in a good location : opposite kasba new market, beside Acropolis Merlin.

It is a stadium with indoor and outdoor facilities. It is on Rajdanga Main road. From Kasba more[ Ruby Hosoital] it is at 10 minutes walking distance. On the other side from Ballyganj Railway Junction, it is about 20 minutes walking distance. However with luggage, you may avail auto, minibus or buses. Acropolis Mall is just beside it.

The Geetanjali Sports Complex is the newest stadium on the block; it is located in south Kolkata at Kasba. After a very long wait the 57.5 meters long stadium was finally completed in 2011 as a result of a joint effort by KMDA and Public Private Partnership. Rs.25 crores was spent to build the multi-sporting, world class. It has a total seating arrangement of 4000 people and a separate area for indoor games and a posh gymnasium. Unfortunately, the sports complex has lost its way by not being selective about which event to host and which to avoid. The spacious ground needs an urgent work over to make it suitable for hosting athletics. Very poor maintenance of the galleries.

It needs to be renovated.. stadium area, ambience, places are good enough.. but its field condition pretty bad for lack of maintenance

Non utilished stadium.. 1min from my home.. lil bit maintance is there but mostly used fot non sports purpose.. only a few celeb match and school sports activity happens in winters.. otherwise car parking, govt program, ceremony, mela etc happens.. size is very very small thats why no good matches can be scheduled here.. not sure how it can be utilished with proper effects!!

Its a good place for morning workout. Many runners joggers and walkers come early in the morning. Security guards are friendly. Gets crowded some days.

Used to be a great place for a walk or run. Now, not so great.

The stadium is good, but the infrastructure is shabby. There is scarcity of drinking water and washrooms are horrible.

Good location between EM bypass and Ballygung. Part of gallery should be covered, as most of times school kids attend many events in this stadium!

Gitanjali Stadium is very famous in Kolkata most of the people know about it here you can play cricket, football, and many sports or even you can come at morning for jogging there many place for playing sometimes here tournaments were playing but main thing is that most of Kolkata schools annual sports were happen here most of the famous schools come here for annual function and there are many places to sit and watch any game and just behind Acropolis mall where you will get from clothes, electronics things,phones,many food stall kfc also there even bar is there at the fourth floor of Acropolis mall they made such a nice really one the best mall even I have gone there many times it looks just amazing and the best thing is that you will get a parking side also in gitanjali stadium from gitanjali stadium just 1 min far there is a school also Dominos also there many things are available there which you will look for and front there is a 2 way road and that was best place for living you will get everything there even atm and banks are also available there I will suggest you people to once you go to Acropolis mall and Gitanjali Stadium Acropolis mall is just awesome.

Morning walk destination for the locals. This place used to an empty ground but now it has transformed to become a beautiful play ground with galleries with a sitting capacity of over 2000 people. It’s the second biggest football ground of Kolkata. The nearest landmark is the Acropolis shopping mall.

This is the place situated in the area between Acropolis mall and The Siemens Ltd.in eastern Kolkata region where you can park your vehicle with a nominal amount . Stadium is very small in area.

Good place for school sports. Parking an issue though. They will restrict you from parking more than few cars inside the parking space (ample) inside the stadium; reserved for monthly cars the gate man says. Dont park your car at the back alley, you will be towed by traffic police. One can use acropolis mall parking alternatively. Local hawkers allowed by porous security arrangements create a local market like feel, which is, at times, undesirable. Well maintained field gets a thumbs up. Overall, a good experience.

GITANJALI STADIAM IS THE BEST STADIAM IN THE CITY OF KOLKATA AFTER EDEND GARDEN AND SALT LAKE STADIAM AND VERY CLOSE TO ACCROPOLICE MALL HAVE LARGE SEATING CAPICITY FOR ANY GAME, PUBLIC EVENT OR, ANY STAGE SHOW. AREA IS ALSO AWESOME. PUBLIC TRANSPORT IS VERY LARGE AMOUNT IN THIS AREA. STADIAM IS VERY NICE BUT I THIK HAVE TO SOME IMPROVMENT LIKE 1. NEED GRASS IN THE FIELD. 2. A vast expanse, has a large seating capacity. Lakshmipat Singhania Academy organised their sports meet here. Beside Acropolis mall, so you can have a treat after leaving the stadium. The field is not even flat, its rugged.

Stadium is nicely built but poorly maintained. Poot and dirty stadium and toilets. Parking is limited and Local Monthly parking persons occupied the most. Toilet is unhygenic. A good infra poorly maintained and managed

Nice big ground and good galary. Not sure about the exact capacity, but enjoyed our kids school sports day which was organized in this ground. I was not sure about the parking as Im not known to the place. But at the opposite of the road, some new construction site helped to park my car. Im pretty sure, there are parking arrangements which Im not aware of.

It is just okay but nothing great. There is no shade in the gallery and stairs are not as per norms. The main stairs case steps are too high (should be less than 7). The other case has 19 steps in one flight (norm is 12 or less) with no hand rails. Fail to understand how clearance was obtained from the statutory authorities.

I will say thats the only stadium where every school sports held.

Its a nice place where you can have a morning walk.It has an above average field quality.This place is mostly popular for the schools where all the annual sports took place.This place could be easily noticed from a normal traffic.Car parking facility is also available here.But the toilets are not that clean. Its very much untidy.It is located near to the Acropolis Mall.It also attracts persons of all age groups.Even wheel chair accessible entrance is here.

Though it is a good small stadium with potential to be one of the best for small events, it in urgent need of repairs. The gallery seats are located at two sides of the stadium. However, the stairs to the far side are completely broken and hence the sitting arrangements have been reduced to half. There is no drinking water facility, nor any shade from the scorching heat. Organisers to arrange temporary shades on the ground, but that severely affected the view. The windows of Acropolis Mall gave a much better view and that too in a cool atmosphere.

I visited this place for my Kiids sports day.. Decent ground but lacks heavily on infrastructure.... Finding water, share toilet is very difficult... Location is very good and easily reachable.

A good place to play. Lots of locals come to play during afternoon. Mostly they play cricket and football. Schools and colleges organize their annual sport meet in Gitanjali stadium. There is a shaded parking place inside the stadium. They usually chage Rs 10/- per hour. If you love sports, you may or may not visit Gitanjali stadium. It doesnt matter.

Great place

After the government replaced all the local fields of dhan math area, this stadium came as a sigh of relief for the locals. Apart from enjoying some sports events here, the locals have the advantage of playing all sorts of outdoor games in the stadium. Thanks to the authorities for this. Not to miss, it has turned to be a Mecca for school games, as most of the good and high-end schools prefer to organize their annual sports events here. This place is definitely good for school games.
