Located in the premises of the Park Mansion, the building itself will transport you back in time. For an antiquarian, that itself feels calming. The staff is very approachable and helpful. The courses are invigorating and enriching because of the wonderful teachers and curriculum design.

The best place in kolkata for french :)the teachers explain very thoroughly, theres a vast collection of books in the library—ranging from easy stories to translated books to famous novels. theres also a good collection of french films which the students watch in the class once in a while. its a great environment and i look forward to every class.im a student of b1.1—almost a year since i joined and ive NEVER been disappointed by the teaching.

Dissatisfied after learning with them for 2years.Fees are very high. They reduced the number of hours of learning without giving prior notifications and since no one queries about them, no one knows. Theres nothing free here unless you want a demo class.

I am a student of this institution for 2 months and so far so good. The best French learning institute, teaching is amazing, the professors are friendly and really helpful, the ambience the people both Indian and French are amazing and really joyous. If you want to learn quality French please do attend the classes of this institution. Youll be learning a lot!

I find it efficient. Have good, patient and caring teachers.Facilities are not so good, though, havent seen an online library. Havent seen a good collection of books/magazines in the (physical) library too.But i like the classes, teachers, information is easily available and effective. Price is also reasonable.Location is very central and well connected.Must go for French language/culture learners/enthusiasts.

Turion fees are very high, although they​ teach well but doesnt make upto mark. No WiFi and a very old building with age old equipment. Very much professional and organise lot of event but no opportunity for students. Better go to Ramakrishna Mission golpark for studying French which would be much less pinch in your pocket.

If you want to learn French in Kolkata then this is the best place where you can do it. The biggest advantages of AF are its extremely competent teachers and the course curriculum. They prepare you for Delf/Dalf exams which are internationally recognized diplomas for the French language. One might argue that their course fees are on the higher side but given the quality of education they impart I think it is value for money. However, the infrastructure is a bit of an issue given the large number of students who study here. Once that is sorted Id be more than happy to give it 5 stars!

Extremely high tuition fee with degrading quality, especially the online classes. The tuition hours are not clearly mentioned and extremely short especially for B1. But theres no reduction in fee with the reduction in time. Gradually getting disappointed.

Just love this place. The best place to learn French. Weekdays as well as weekend classes are available but there might not be multiple options for upper levels due to lack of students for a batch. Along with classes, there are other workshops, movie screenings and other cultural programmes. A gaming Xbox is available for members to play. There is a library for members which includes books, journals, newspapers as well as movie DVDs. Most of the workshops and programmes are open to all. The ambience is amazing and lively.

Best Place to learn French Language in Kolkata . A big library is there with many rare and different types of French books .The teachers are very good with a special mention for Bhavna Mam & Amitava Sir.. 6-8 hours of immersion intensive classes with Speaking , Writing , Grammar and Reading and Listening .It is also the centre for DELF in Kolkata..It is carrying the rich heritage of Park Mansion together with French Culture .I have completed till B1.1 Mostly I have got very good teachers.. The environment and way of teaching is very good..Cons - some of the teachers just waste time with unwanted gossips.Fees are very high so they dont realise that we are paying a high amount for one hour . In one day if there is 3-4 hours they simply just cant waste that with their gossips and household stories..But there are very professional teachers in this institute also.Only a few are like this.Teacher distribution according to the course is not good.You can be unlucky sometimes just like I was when I was learning B1.Rates are in par with Goethe institute but the amenities and qualities are not exactly the same...It should reduce the tuition fees or can improve the quality of teaching by terminating few unwanted teachers.Over all it can be the best for French if you get good teachers..plenty of teachers are associated with Alliance.If you want to learn French ...this is the ideal place to achieve that.

Undoubtedly the best centre for French language and culture in Kolkata. Tuition fees are a bit high, but teaching methods and assessment is impeccable.
