Rang De Basanti is always in my hit list.Their Indian cuisine is just one of the highly recommended one. I always prefer rang De Basanti for dhaba style food and its perfectly upto the mark. Recently I orderedPurano dilli mirch meatChicken bhartaGarlic naanAll are highly recommended. Tempered proof packaging and also delivered hot.If you craving for dhaba style food please go for it.
Food taste is very bad. In starter ordered fried chicken which was not properly cooked. In main course ordered rumali roti -which was served cold, garlic naan - was good, kulcha - was again not cooked properly and Mutton rara- it was so bad in taste. Very bad experience. Though it has good rating in Google, but not worthy at all! And ambience is also not good anymore. Disappointed!

Rang de Basanti Dhabha is in Salt Lake sec 5. A typical busy punjabi restaurant given a Dhabha look and presentation..appreciable job. There is no temp check at entrance but a sanitizer is kept on each table and all employees are in uniform and mask. There is ample distance between each table so that takes care of social distancing...Coming on the food part..we ordered lassi, tandoori roti, amritsari chole and mutton delli style..it tasted awsome..had my appetite allowed..chicken biryani would have enjoyed coming in my mouth😂🤭😉Food was served in typical thick alluminium platters which was enhancing the Dhabha feel..So if you are short of time and dont want to upset your taste buds then drop in here and enjoy😀
Rang De Basanti Dhaba is a sophisticated Restaurant at Salt Lake City Sector-v. Its adjacent to College More Salt Lake City Sector-v. Its just opposite to Jagdish Chandra Bose Institute. Its on a prime location. Can be viewed from a car or bus. And on the main road. Thats why the Restaurant can be located easily. Communication is just awesome to reach there and to return to original destination as well.Only one Cuisine is available there. Total Indian Food Delicacy. Mainly Mughlai Cuisine.Quality of food is just awesome. Neither more nor less spicy the food is. Just awesome chemistry in terms of food is being served there. Flavor and taste of the food served is heavenly. I just fond of their food. Visit often with my friends. Also take parcels for my family members, too. So, any one can understand how much I love their food. So I firmly recommending their food. Anyone can come here in Rang De Basanti Dhaba and to justify my words. I think there wouldnt be any questions about quality of food be arise.Take reasonable time to serve the food after being its ordered. The waiters there are very polite and communicable. Rang de Basanti is a very nice decorated Dhaba type near ruby. The seating capacity is a lot and the place is quite themed according to the Basanti movie. The washrooms are the best here. Its very innovative- Gabbar and Basanti.Must here are Tandoori chicken, dilli wali butter chicken and lababdar chicken❤️
Sorry to say but food quality has detoriated a lot since I visited 1 year back , it seems that lockdown has affected it .Earlier for me it was one of the best Dhaba for North indian food in sector 5 .......
This place runs largely due to location privileges. Otherwise, service quality, food quality is average, which includes lots of below average servings.To the storage, you need to check the bill for unique levies this place adds to your bill like hygiene charges. I asked them when shall I also expect building maintenance, oxygen supply, staff clothing and banner charges.Food Quality -Absolutely average, few items are below average. Vegetarian items are certainly a NO thing here. You may although settle with non veg items, if you are already there.Pricing - Its higher undoubtedly, levies are strange.Service - WORST. No one monitors, no one cares.
One of the most 3rd class service by their waiters as on 27/07/20211. If u doesn’t order Mineral Water then they will not provide water till u force to order.2. Their waiters doesn’t bother to come around you until u order more as there aren’t enough crowd.3. If they provide you free water then it will be full of running insects in the water.4. They r not maintaining hygiene as their utensils r not cleaned.5. It is running only on the goodwill of the good services in the past.Would urge Food dependent to make a surprise visit & verify my review. It is for the sake of Common people.

We went for dinner and ordered butter naan, tandoori roti, Chicken Bharta. Apparently, that was the only side dish available at around 9.45 pm. Anyway the quantity was extremely low. The bowl that they served it in looked deep from outside but as we were dipping our spoons, we soon realised the scam. Furthermore, the taste was very bland. They charged ₹50 for a ₹20 mineral water bottle. They even added sanitation charges which is for the sanitizer on the table, i guess. So we had it removed. Im not gonna visit this place again. Totally disappointed.
Its none other than the theme and the environment inside this place that catches your attention. They properly maintained the theme according to the title of this restaurant. And ofcourse no doubts to the foods quality, quantity and taste. If you want to catch some moments in an interesting place with delicious food, its the perfect one.

I ordered dum mutton biriyani mutton rara and butter nun....but butter nun me butter hay hi nahi and nun bhi achi nahi thik... biriyani is okkis type mutton rara is a spice dish if you like spice food then you like the dish
You just cant go wrong with veg food options. Non-veg can be dicey (colleague was served not properly cooked). Decent service. No picked onions (sirke wale pyaaz). Lots of parking. I am told their rolls stall has a long standing fan following of its own. Humorous posters on the wall. Not your typical kitsch though.

Food is tasty no doubt.. but have bad experience on take away! They took too much time on preparing a food! I was standing like 1.5 hr. One suggestion.. if you have 3 to 4 hrs in your hand then come here and enjoy your food and their hospitality either you can skip this one
Food was good, but the service was below average. They added a special charge called Hygiene charge, I am not sure why after hoing to the washroom. Wooden chairs are squeaky and they need to be replaced. I saw many heated arguments between customers and (blue shirt )staffs....But the food was good 😅

The delivery wasnt correct,they sent the wrong item however they didnt refund the price although the food they sent was cheaper than the one which we ordered for. The quality of the food was average and the butter chicken was a bit too spicy, the naan was good.Edit: They refunded the item price

At the entrance youve to sanitize your hands and shoes then they will check your temperature. @rdbdhabakolkata has introduced disposable menu card as well as disposable crockery & cutlery. They have also online menu card & payment option. Now due to this Covid 19 pandemic situation they closed their outdoor seating area also along with that roll counter.At first they served complimentary Tulsi & Haldi kadha, theyve another variety of it , that is black pepper & cinnamon kadha. We started our lunch with chicken cheese kebab which was very soft and creamy on the inside and the outside is flavourful with spices & topped with huge amount of cheese. Then kurkuri bhindi was there, which is basically a crispy and spicy starter. Another starter was Chicken Tikka Kebab, tender cooked chunks of chicken marinated in yogurt and spices that is cooked with too perfection. Then we opted for chicken tawa biryani and chicken palangtod. From the name of Tawa biryani we can guess the basic difference of it from regular biryani; yes, this biryani is cooked in a tawa and it is more spicy than the regular one. On the other hand Chicken palangtod was the showstopper of the lunch, the soft leg pieces cooked in a spicy chicken keema gravy. Obviously dont miss their Goli Soda.
Only two people were there to serve the people which led to delay in taking the order and ultimately serve the food.They have tried to do something unique by putting the tractor in the center of the dhaba and funny quotes as paintings and funny quotes of the T-shirts of their staff.But cleanliness was not upto the mark and more importantly the food I would say was average.
Rang De Basanti has recently started their Dining and delivery services in all the branches of kolkata following strict safety protocols.On the entrance , after sanitizing your hand and feet, thermal scanning is being done to all the guests. All the delivery boys temperature are also checked before they deliver the food. All the staffs are maintaining proper hygiene and routine check up is done to all of them before they start their work. The seating arrangement is done in such a way that social distancing can be maintained. All the chairs and tables are sanitized frequently. For additional safety purposes they have started contactless E-Menu and payment system too. For more safety they are providing optional Biodegradable cutlery ( charges Extra) to the guests. Besides that they are serving their special Immunity kadha to each and every guest.The interior here at the Sector V branch is quite fascinating and the desi touch in their decoration is superb. Coming to the food we had :-Kurkuri BhindiChicken Tikka kebabChicken Cheese kebabChicken Tawa BiryaniChicken Planag TodAssorted Breads ( Laccha , naan, paneer kulcha).Assorted Bantas.After the refreshing Bantas, which are the signature drinks of RDBD we Started our meal with some spicy and crispy bhindi, deep fried in oil. This was really good and a wonderful appetizer. Next were the kebabs, the best part of the kebabs was that, they were soft and juicy. They were perfectly cooked and both the cheese kebab and the tikka kebab was fantastic in their unique way.Next for the main course we had the special combo of their Chicken Tawa Biryani (Biryani made in desi style on tawa, with lots of chicken cubes) and Chicken Palang Tod (chicken leg pieces dipped into a gravy minced chicken gravy) along with these we also had assorted bread platter ( Laccha , naan, paneer kulcha). The combination of Naan and chicken gravy dish was awesome.Overall had a great meal at this place. Both the quality and quantity of the dishes were good. Really impressed with their hospitality. Indeed a highly recommended place for all the Desi Food Lovers in Kolkata.
Hello peoples, so if you a need a place to gorge in the delicacies of Punjab with a tractor beside you in Kolkata then you must visit this place.The food we ordered are a plate of Utterly Butterly Chicken, four Rumali Rotis, a plate of onion salad named Piyaaz Masala Marke, two Lassis and a bottled water with that. And the food definitely tasted very good and I am sure you all will love it. But dont even think of going there if you are dieting, because you will not be able to satisfy yourself on a small portion.So, the amount of food we ordered is good enough for two persons and it costed us an amount of Rs. 777 which is pretty much okay. And, also the staffs are very much polite and also takes a good care of you till the the food is served.P.S. - They are also taking a good care of sanitisation, temperature check and social distancing while serving you with good food.

Worst restaurant I have ever seen in kolkata. They tried to give it retro look. But, they failed. For a curry around Rs. 300, the quantity is less than half plate of any other restaurant. Extremely overpriced. And they also have some unnecessary charges like hygiene charge. Fully disappointed with the restaurant. Will not suggest anyone to go there.
Starting with the ambience, it is one of its kind in kolkata. Everything right from the interiors to the cutlery reflects dhaba in itself.Menu- it is not too varied, limited items are there and its costlier than actual dhabas...Taste- we ordered veg items and all of them were tasty. Phirni is a must have here and highly recommended.Service- extremely well behaved staffs and on time service.Turn off- washroom was not clean and there were no lights.Overall it was a pleasant experience 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The food was good it was mainly Punjabi style but they did a lot of problem with billing they added extra items of their which we didnt order it happened 2 times on the same day. But the most important point was the food was good but I hope they improve their billing system

Great place for having punjabi foods in Sector V. From starters to desserts through main course every item is tasty. Tandoori chicken and their special chicken bharta is must try. Staffs are quite helpful and quick in service. Pricing is reasonable. They have interior as a dhaba concept with a tractor inside the restaurant.
The food is decent. I particularly like their Mutton Rara paired with Butter Naan. However the ambiance is not good enough. The toilets stink and the behaviour of the staff is not too welcoming either. It can be an option if you are willing to sit with colleagues or friends and have a quick meal between office hours. But this is not the kind of place where you would go with your family or when you are really in the mood to try out a good restaurant.

Rang De Basanti Dhaba is a well known place for all of us..This place has recently opened their new cloud kitchen at Hazra . So I thought of ordering some of their signature items from the new outlet.So I ordered one portion of mutton Rara along with Laccha paratha and plain nun.The mutton was cooked in authentic Punjabi style , with lots of spices as well.They gave three pieces of soft and succulent mutton in full portion.The gravy was extremely taste though it was a bit more oily .The naan was soft and went great with the mutton.Talking about the Laccha paratha , it was more like tandoori roti , but it also tasted great with the mutton.You can have the mutton along with choice of biryani and pulao as well.This is needless to say that Rang de basanti dhaba is renowned for their extremely delicious punjabi dishes , and the dishes I ordered was satisfying me perfectly I must say.I am going to place my next order from them anytime soon.

From kababs to thick red gravies and from makke di rotti sarso da saag to bunta bottle sikanji - this place serves it all and serves it right.Their cheese kabab and mutton seekh kabab is my personal favourite even at 2 oclock in the night. If youre a vegetarian do not forget to try the dahi ke kabab. Drive through the broad roads of Rajarhat play some great loud music and then finally make a stop at this Dhaba. Park your car in front of the place order and eat inside the car or place your food on the car boot and enjoy your food along with your favourite drink. You can always sit in the restaurant if youre with family or just wish so. Not a proper fine dining experience but they do average to good in terms of service, speed and decor.Also, the rara mutton is a must for red meat lovers served with 4 pieces of mutton and minced mutton gravy. Price to quality-quantity ratio is average to good. Bread items are pretty ordinary. Pay a visit for lunch or maybe a midnight rendezvous - this place is open till late in the night.

Food is ok ok. We have order fish fried, butter chicken and nun. None of them were good. Actually total amount of bill was 1800/- but the food was not worth enough to satisfy ur soul. And the table where we were sitting was oily and after telling them also they didnt clean the place for name sake also. It was not good experience.
Visited this place today ordered Paneer Tikka the marination was not at all good even its not properly cooked taste was pathetic, Coming to the main ordered Paneer Makhni with butter naan, Garlic naan & rumali roti. Paneer Makhni was yumm the gravy was really good with thier awesome butter naan and Garlic naan but rumali roti was disappointing it was very hard to chew and was not freshly made however they changed the rumali roti but that was also the same, the worst part they charged ₹55 for water bottle.

Ambience is also very nice with all punjabi mood and even the plates, tumblers, which are given will make you feel you are having dhaba style food but in a clean and sophisticated manner. The restaurant theme is good ....but the foot is not at all worth it...
Was there on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The place is popular so we had to wait and so much so that the floor manager made us wait outside in the summer heat! They have done the restaurant well and must appreciate creativity in every element of the Decor. The food service was pathetic, a colleague of mine had to shout then only they brought food after 30 min. Try Glass Soda for an experience. Chhole were Tasty! I hope they work on guest management so its more enjoyable!

Few days age tried some amazing foods from sector V outlet of rang de basanti dhabaWe had kolkata chicken bharta along with it we had the hari mirchi ki roti and tandoori rotiThe chicken bharta was well cooked and the chickens pieces were marking a prominent presence with amazing taste and softness .Well cooked with spices and flavour .Went well with hari mirch ki roti and tandoori roti .Hari mirch ki roti was really something looking extremely spicy but it was really a good one .Overall a nice experience

At the heart of Salt Lake area, this is a very nice restaurant to have some tasty fooding. Rates are reasonable. Ambiance is pleasant. Stuffs are nice and well behaved. You can be here with your family or with friends. Quality of items are fine. Very good option for lunch/dinner/snacks. I can recommend this place to my near and dear ones.

The overall food quality is good. Menu contains a wide selection of items. You get a punjabi flever in this dhaba. But i think it is slightly overpriced.
The arrangement is pretty comfortable and staffs are pretty professional and customer friendly, food quality is good and quantity is satisfactory.
