The Tawa Chicken Biryani, was more of a Pulao, something which I have come across the lanes at Hazratganj in Lucknow. The rice and the other ingredients are tossed over a tawa, with the masalas being more prominent in nature than we are used to in our quintessential Kolkata Style Biryani. Diamond Plaza is very near to my house and i visit there quit often and that allowed me to dine in here when i finished my movie and dropped down for Lunch. A pure Punjabi style Restaurant which gives you the feel of Punjab with those big water glasses, platers and tractor that is the trade mark there.Coming to the place so this is around 50-70 seater place with North indian food to offer you.Tried Their Coolers and loved the Bhayankar Soda. The starters are also appealing as they provide all the north indian food which we usually eat at restaurants. tandoori Chicken, Cheese Kabab, Fish stripes. in the mains we had Biryani and Mutton Rogan Josh. Their Butter Chicken is a must try here and Chicken Chaval is just so good to eat.

Waste of money they are taking 55rs for a bottle water of mrp 20rs and also adding hygiene charges of 5 percent for providing sanitizer.

Awesome food. Courteous behaviour from staff. A must visit place again. The only thing I did not liked was they did not served onions on the table. Even when I order delivery there is no onions or pickles present. Quantity of food was good. Ambience was ok neither too bright nor too dim. Plates amd glasses were like village style. When my mom was pregnant, my parents used to live in Punjab.So the journey of love for Punjabi Cuisine started there and its still continuing.On the other hand, Winter is here in Kolkata so this is the best time to eat all kind of leafy vegetables and saag...When were talking about Punjabi Cuisine and winter, how can I miss Sarso da Saag and Makkai Di Roti.Okay, before coming to this, let me tell you that Rang De Basanti Dhaba is celebrating winter with a new menu named as Soup, Saag and Sardi.In this new menu, specially curated for Winter is having these dishes - Paya Shiri Shorba, Tamatar Dhania Naga Chilli Shorba, Chicken Makhmali Tare, Sarson Da Saag, Makkai Di Roti and Gaajar Ka Halwa.Shorba is derived from the Arabic word Shurbah, which means stew or hot soup.The mutton paya shiri shorba is a bit spicy, where tamatar one was a sour soup. And the chicken makhmali tare was another kind of shorba that was a bit creamy and thin also. It has a sweet taste, though I felt that I was having chicken bharta in a form of soup. (This is my personal opinion).All of them was served with naan.Except these, the sarson saag was mind blowing. I hope you know the technique of eating this combo right - spread the white butter in the makkai bread... Some days ago I visited this place with my cousins. Its Well decorated and its a large place.They have huge sitting area.There is a car and if you want, you can sit on it.The decoration is totally different.You can have a dhaba type feelings in the restaurant.We ordered many items.•Tandoori roti butter•Garlic noon•Kadhai chicken•Chicken palang tod•Amritsari chole(Full)•Kachumbar raitaFood taste of there are just amazing.I cant explain how dilisious all the dishes.Now I am a true fan of this veg item which is called Amritsari chole.We ordered dessert as Gulab jamun.I can say truly it taste much better than the local sweet shops.Also tried Goli-soda sikhanji which tastes also good.Food quality and quantity both are great and Sufficient for one person.They serves in a special plate and glass which is attracted me more.Should try this. Highly recommended.

PATHETIC! BOGUS! HORRIBLE! Not at all recommended. They charged Rs. 55 for a normal bottle of water. Rs. 38 for Hygiene charge. And none the less, food prices are high compared to the quantity & quality. Taste was not that good at all.

The food was okayish. RDBD Paneer Tikka was tasteless. The service was extremely poor. We had to wait for an hour to receive our order of just 2 Butter Naans. Overall experience was not at all satisfying. I would definitely not recommend to visit this restaurant.

Heard restaurants name quite a time, went there with friends but I had Worst food experience, every single dish we order was cold, each and every dish was cold. Taste is certainly not up to mark, Naan was as thin as Tawa roti, overall it was pathetic. The restaurant has a very beautiful decoration of Punjabi Traditions or Indian Traditions of agriculture Of Tractor. With a large sitting arrangement this familiar restaurant has very beautiful dishes also. Specially they have Indian food preparations. The interior decoration and the seating arrangement of this outlet is quite good and spacious. Coming to the food we had from their winter menu :-Shorbas :- We had total 4 types of shorbas ( 2 veg and 2 non veg).From Veg shorbas we had Tamatar Dhania naga chili shorba which had a taste of south indian masala too, on the top of that it also little bit spicy. On the other hand the palak shorba has the real taste of palak and a little bit sweet.Coming to the non veg shorba, we had paya shiri shorba which was made with mutton paya with an awesome taste and dhaba murg shorba which was exactly like indian chicken curry taste with a little difference.All the shorbas were served with garlic naan.After this we had the famous sarson ka saag and makke di roti. Thus was pure bliss. Perfect taste awesome presentation. Coming to the price it is affordable and quality of the food is too good and perfect for winter. Rang de Basanti this branch of the brand is in the diamond plaza Mall on the food court floor. Ambience is good, space is sufficient. Food quality is satisfactory and service and behaviour is also nice. Lassi and rose Firni is excellent. Dessert items are awesome. It was a pleasure to visit this restaurant.

Located in Northern part of Kolkata, it is one of the best places to find authentic north Indian dishes with an essence of traditional spices and preparatory methods. Mumbaiya Monsoon Festival has recently started in RDBD and you should definitely head out to experience their not so elaborate but tasty spread of items. The menu comprises of five items:Chowpatty Pav Bhaji: The plate consists of 3 butter tossed pavs with an ample amount of aloo sabji. The sabji seemed a little dry to me but the taste was mind blowing. The blend of spices created something really unique for a bhaji.Borivali Keema Pav: Again served along with 3 butter tossed pavs, the Mutton Keema was rich in flavours. The salt was a bit on the higher side but a squeeze to lemon made everything tastier.Vegetarian Mumbaiya Tawa Biryani: Tawa Biryanis are usually very light. And thats a prime selling point if you ask me. I mean you get to have Biryani but not a stomach trouble. Thats a win-win right? The rice was mildly flavored with spices and was mixed with loads of veggies and paneer chunks.Chicken Mumbaiya Tawa Biryani: Aah! The chicken tikka in the Biryani was an absolute beauty. The chicken as well as the rice were bursting with flavours. Have it with the mixed raita, youll love it even more.Kulfi Faluda: This one was the absolute showstopper. One of the best Faludas I ever had. They even dropped in some chia seeds. Butter Naan7. Punjabi Veg KormaEach and every dish was absolutely amazing. I specially loved the butter naan which was really soft and the butter naan tasted so good with the rajwadi gosht which was cooked so nicely. The service there was amazing as well. Best experience from rang de basanti, I have been there 4 times and each an every visit I got something amazing. Tandoori chicken 2.0 and chicken palang tod is a must try here. Amritsari chole, jeera rice, dal makhani and kadai panner are outstanding. Apart from that their deserts are outstanding.

Such delicious cuisines . I tried dilli butter chicken and the butter naans , they were just amazing , though a little pinch in the pocket.

Quantity was little less according to the price. But the taste was satisfactory enough.

Worst Customer Service ever, they not even update there time in Google page, you go there around 9.45 and find the restaurant closed. This should be closed permanently.

Food quality is very good. Reasonable time taken for food serving. Food quantity is very less. Looks quite over priced. Say for example of Paneer Tikka cost around Rs 220/- except the tax and food served is only 4 pieces of 1inch square cubes of paneer with a small juliens of onion and a 1 sqare inch of tomato and green peper.

I dont know if I can put it in a better way. Food here is really bad.Also another point is, we were two people there, the portions of food which were served were for two only, thats fine with us, but the prices which were charged was for the whole plate.I mean, even if two people are dining they should serve the whole plate, right? Now its upto us what we do with the excess food, maybe we pack it and take it back home or feed the needy.But they took the opportunity upon seeing a couple and make money out if that, really bad. Infact each dishes were meant for 4 people. That means they literally served us half the quantity charging the full amount. Along with that taste was also not that good. Below average in terms of taste.I dont know how people rated their food with 5 stars, not at all up for five stars in any means.I dont know if they does the same to groups of 4 or more. So if youre going as a couple be on the lookout. They will scam you and take whole amount.I left the place half empty paying whooping 1200 as the bill. Attached the paytm screenshot if incase you dont believe. I was not in mood after all these to click photos. We finished the food asap and left the place, we didnt enjoy the food at all.Fish cutlet or kabiraji I dont remember that was around 300 rupees and they served us 2 pieces 1 for each, with each one being half of the original size.. Now you can imagine.

Worst experience encountered. They do not have staff. Only one person is cleaning the table, taking orders, servin and everything. Table are not cleaned when a customer left. We had to wait for half an hour for the table to get cleaned. They gave us our order after 1 hour of ordering. When we asked for extra nan we had to wait for another half an hour. Food was not good. Felt like they warmed it in microwave and gave it to us. We visited the place because of the name and services we have seen in there other outlets. They are more interested in catering to swiggy zomato then there dine in customers.

Mouth watering and delicious food available. Non veg lovers must visit this place.Ambience is ok and justifies the dhaba in its name.Service is very good and satisfying.

Good food with good ambience and good service.. what else do you want??.. must visit if you love Punjabi food in a Dhaba kind of set up of course the expensive one though. But no complains as its giving you such an experience inside a mall. Worth a try.

The restaurant is very slow in responding. It mainly focuses on home delivery orders. Had to wait for 2 hours for a simple order.

Located inside Diamond plaza mall...this is average restaurant.We ordered Chicken Lasauni Kebab and Mutton sikandari kebab (winter special) as starters....Chicken Lasauni was good with tender chicken made perfectly. mutton sikandari is definetly not a good kebab option....it is a round shaped fried tikia like kebab which has daal and cheese inside....For main course we ordered chicken bharta and roti/naan..chicken bharta was ok in taste...This is a pocket friendly option with nice service but there are nearby alternatives which offers similar food with comparable or lesser price range....

Good food.

It is good place to dine in along with friends, family and kids. Service is very nice, ambience is good. Staffs are very helpful and they help you to feel homely. But one thing that prohibits me to give 5 star is their unavailability of menu items. Many fried items specially fish items and drinks were unavailable.

Done my astami dinner at this place well we were two people was thinking of good indian food here so we entered here firstly ordered*Chicken malai kabab*Chicken biryani*Garlic nan*Kadai chickenFood was awesome deliciously prepared but portion is little bit less in comparison to price ...

Late service, food is average and costly

On puja I visited rang de basanti dhabas this outlet. Our experience was not so good. We ordered mutton biriyani and kadhai chicken in our main course and in beverage we ordered soda sikanji. Taste of biriyani and chicken were so so, the pieces of motton was not good at all. For a lit mineralwater they charged 65 per bottle. But must say,the ambience and the behavior was really good.

Very tasty food, we ordered a mix of Chinese food both were really good... The restaurant is easily visible from the main road. The atmosphere is very casual. The weekends are very busy here.

Food! Atmosphere! People! Staff! Waiters! Amazing!! Its been a long time since I had such a nice meal. The atmosphere is very friendly and homely. People serve with a smile and things are awesome just the way they are.I visited the place about a year ago. And its still fresh in my memories! So amazing.

Located on the 3rd floor of Diamond Plaza Mall near food court. It has a typical North Indian restaurant with a model of tractor right inside entrance. Good ambience. Tasty food. Prices are reasonable. But no alcoholic beverages served here. Decor is good. Service is little slow. Though the servers try to look to very quick and alert but in fact they dont care for the table they have served. You need to catch their eyes or call them. Overall good experience. Cost for two about Rs 600.

Good ambience, good food, hygienic but little expensive.

Visited today with my family. Pathetic service we have ever received!!! Stale and awful food was served after waiting for more than an hour. Staffs have ZERO courtesy to host visitors. Most importantly they are NOT MAINTAINING MINIMUM hygiene or sanitization amid this COVID situation.
