Momo I am never fails to make my taste buds tingle every single time I visit any of their joints in the city. We ordered slow cooked pork bao which had just the right amount of sweetness of the bun complimenting the smokiness and spiciness of the juicy slow cooked pork. And then we ordered a plate of pan fried chili oyster fish which was as usual, really really good. Sweet and spicy and crispy - definitely any food lovers wet dream. And then we finished with a Chicken Tibetan Bowl which was very good as well. The only thing which I didnt like or felt didnt go with the bowl, were the Prawn crackers.Keep up this quality and Service forever ❤
Visited Momo I Am today for a lazy afternoon lunch with a friend and had such an amazing experience.Maybe was a bit on the expensive side but every item was so tasty and definitely a must try. Below are the items we had.- Chicken Bao- Pork Bao- Chicken Kothay- Chicken Lime Leaf- Tempura fishA special mention for the Bao food items. Do try them out if you ever plan to visit Momo I am. A not so large interior space but overall a cozy comfortable place to dine in on not only their delicious momos but the ones I mentioned above.Definitely plan to visit this place again to feed my never ending hunger :)
The food was pretty average. Not great. We ordered for Crispy Chilli Baby Corn, Hangover Spicy Momos, Chilli Garlic Noodles and Veg Manchurian. The Crisp Chilli Babycorn was descent. The momos werent spicy as the name suggests and was average in taste. The Chilli Garlic Noodles and Veg Manchurian were a huge disappointment. It didnt taste good. Although the food was pretty average, the service was pretty good.
There was an abundance of dishes to choose from on the menu and it all sounded delicious. The pork bao was tasty! Unfortunately we asked one of the staff to be diligent about excluding any hot spice/chilli as our children could not tolerate it. This was not communicated to the kitchen hence we gave them the 3 stars otherwise we would gone for 4 stars as the flavours in the food was tasty and the art decor was nice!
A great place to enjoy the Chinese and Thai dishes. The main attraction of this place, the delicious, warm, fluffy Bao - with the fiery and crunchy chicken pieces, wrapped inside a sweet, white dough and topped with basil leaves. The kitchen is visible through the glass wall to grab a sneak peek into and enjoy the chefs with their magic in food. This place is perfect for a late night dinner with families or friends.
We had ordered pork short ribs, pork kothey and chicken bao.out of that the ribs was extremely good and chicken bao had a really nice smokey flavour and was also something we would order next time.Pork kothey was average. The stuff is extremely lazy.like you have to ask for glass, spoons and cutlery, and everything else then they will provide.surprisingly they take 5% service charge for that which is not legal as well I think. The preparation time is also too much because they will have 1000s of zomato and swiggy orders to be sent.
Excellent food and service. Average price per dish might come to a little above Rs 300 (after taxes). Exclusive taste of each dish. Delicious sauces accompanying the food. Per head cost may come to Rs 350 to 400 for a meal.
Good place for evening binge...in case you are going for dinner and lunch go for sector v - it has full menu
I was getting good reviews of Momo I am and decided to visit the restaurant. First of all, they have a lovely ambience and offer varity of Chinese, Tibetan, Bhutanese and other Asian dishes. I ordered Bhutanese chicken momo, SOI 65 fish bao and pork ribs in chilli plum sauce. Momo was good and tender, the Bao was absolute delish, the texture was perfect and the pork ribs was well cooked, tender and mouth watering. And all the items are pocket friendly. Ideal place for evening gateway with friends or date or simply if youre craving some momos.
This place was the first in salt Lake to serve truly delicious scaled up Tibetan food at a reasonable price. The thenthuk, the baos, the ribs, the momos, the soup noodle bowls - everything is par excellence.Of late the prices are way too high to justify what is essentially casual dining, the food is great but does not warrant such high prices as even the ambience isnt amazing.
This is a quirky little place which serves awesome food. It is my 3rd time visiting them.I loved their momos, baos and rice bowls. The Momo platter has 4 types of momos, 2 of each.Pork bao was quite juicy and soft.Thai green curry rice bowl was very flavorful with a good taste of coconut. The quantity is pretty good.Overall, I always enjoy their food and is decently priced.
Momo i am is love for momo lovers and for many other asian dishes. Their pork momo is awesome. I had their chilly pork momo which was really yummy and so tasyyy. I love that soft out-layer of the momo with inside smashed pork. Their drums of hell is also a good dish. I had their drums of hell which was really yummy. The restaurant is spacious with a good ambience. The mineral water they provide is bit costly so you can go for cold drinks option like coke and pepsi or dew instead of taking that costly water bottle. The ambience and the vibe of this place is very nice.
Its a pretty decent place with good food. The space is limited so try to work around that. The food takes a bit of time to reach the table if you order anything outside of Momos. So consider that while planning your time here.Other than that there are no complaints about the food. Pork dishes are pretty decent, and should be on your list whenever you visit
Food is delicious. Service is also good. Serving I felt is a little late. Price is reasonable. Favourite dish is T-Momo combo.
3 stars because the value for money is not that great. May be because i have eaten much better for much less and better ambiance. Went with friends, service was fast but very unsatisfactory. Not that the service was bad but i cannot put a finger on it, felt very boring of sort. The food was ok, the pork dishes were good. Overall and average one time visit place. Though tere is a lot of croud due to its location.
The food is great but super expensive. Therefore, order slowly while you eat so you dont overpay.
Service is not upto the mark.... The staffs dont pay attention to the orders taken.... Ordered 3 soft drinks along with our food, but they completely forgot to serve the soft drinks and only brought them when we finished our food and asked for the bill
Nice place to have authentic Chinese food...we went with a big group there. Food wise I will give 5star.... excellent food with excellent service. So many varieties you will get here...only I felt the place is a bit short...so felt about clumsy... elsewhere everything is great. Interior decoration also very nice. Love to be there again..
Its a cafe like ambience, good for small hangouts. You would feel a little claustrophobic if the restaurant is crowded since the area is small. They provide all the famous delicacies of Momo I Am with perfection. Thus food is the only thing that will keep you visiting this place. They do not serve drinks like the sector 5 outlet, hence, dont get your hopes up.Overall a good experience on hanging out with friends at this place just as we would expect from a cafe. Good food, good music and a small warm place.
Thai green curry bowl with prawn chips is to die for at least for me.. The yummy cheese cake always brings me back here..Awesome food for anyday
Lovely food ,good ambiance n good staff
Nice joint at sector 1 salt lake. The momo Platter is remarkable!!
Amazing ambience and food quality is superb, loved the time spent here. Staffs are also very friendly, Had a great time
The restaurant serves good North Eastern and Oriental cuisines. If one is feeling adventurous with ones taste buds, its worth every rupee to visit this place. TheAC didnt work the day we went and there was no effort to make us feel comfortable. Also the service seemed sloppy. Those were my complaints that werent heard. But the food was really amazing. The dumplings have quite a lot of flavorful fillings. I just wish the maida covering was a little thinner. The bao was great too. And all their foods are very photogenic.
The best place in town for hanging out to a get-together! Food quality is spot on so is the ambiance and hospitality.
Authentic food, will love the menu and the Ambience! Suggestion for that one dish for anyone to try if you love Anime or even not, is Mothuk under the tab Bowls! Its a full meal you ll enjoy for sure!
I ate here after like 2 years. And there was massive improvement. Lover it.
The food here is really Good exactly what i was looking for for an afternoon lunch....
Amazing food and an array of options to chose from. The Baos and Dimsum are simply amazing and would have you asking for more. The quantity is superb and probably you all will be full before you complete the items on the table. Nice cozy ambiance with courteous staff.
The most and the important thing is that Its pocket friendly. Staffs are very polite and well behaved, helpful. Neat n clear restaurant.
If somebody asks me to choose my favourite restaurant, Ill probably say momo i am. Why? Well theres a number of reasons but Im going to be sharing only three with you all since nobody likes a lengthy review. First and foremost the dishes over here are not only visually appealing, they taste heavenly good. Youll get some authentic Tibetan/ Darjeeling dishes over here and they are lip-smacking. Theres not a week when I dont visit them or order from them. They have won over my heart completely. Secondly they have many outlets all over Kolkata and they more or less maintain the same quality in all of their branches. So if youre from Halisahar, go to the Barrackpore branch. If youre from Gariahat, visit the Lake Gardens branch. And last but not the least the dishes are not dirt cheap since its not possible to give you such a quality in low prices but they are not so expensive either to leave a hole in your pocket. So go out and have a great time with you loved ones. Youll definitely fall in love with their food like I did.
Nice place to eat best Chinese food
Good food. Prawm momo just too good
I always prefer Momo I Am for momo. Love this environment ... I am old customer. It is safe .
One of the best momos in kolkata. The orange chutney given with the momos are the authentic nepali one. Good food. Hope they maintain the taste of all items as it is perfect.
This is where you get good food on a decent budget. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food looks and tastes amazing. If you are a group of five out for a decent meal or just two extremely hungry people, your bill would rarely exceed 1200₹-1300₹. If you are a pork lover, this is heaven in Kolkata, however i wont compare this to North East or Bhutan. The dried sweet ginger mouth freshner is exactly what you need after a meal here.
Visited there with a huge expectation and found the atmosphere is nice. The waiter is very nice and the manager is well behaved. I ordered Pork Bao and Chicken Bao. Pork Bao was delicious enough to make in fall in love with it. Chicken one was below average. Id visit this outlet again, mostly because of the atmosphere.
What a wonderful visit it was to #MomoIAm, that too my first dineout after lockdown. Good ambience, clean and sleek. They are maintaining hygiene which is a must now. Coming to the food, we ordered #momoplatter which was great with fair quantity. I loved the idea of serving #soup alongside, which I dont know why is going away. Kudos to you guys, will surely give more visits in the future 🥟🥟🥟 FYI the #porkmomo too is fantastic.
I must tell you these momos are not road side momos these are premium momos & off-course these are not cheap but you will be satisfied with the price.i am not saying is too costly but these are not like Rs 40/50 per plate. they is too big and i will recommend you to try different momos are dishes in your every visit. Also this is one the best place to hangout, in Sec-5 out-late you will get alcohol as well... so better to visit that out-late
The quality of food has degraded a little bit.
Perfect place to dine out. Be with friends or family or soulmates! Lovely ambiance. The food is just too good. Staff behaviour is also good.
The food quality is very good. The ambience and the staffs is worth visiting again. I would recommend the Kung Pao Chicken and the XO Crystal Chicken Dimsum among the dishes I had. The menu card design is something very unique.
Warning ⚠️They are charging service charge without even informing you. Please check before payment.Theyre making everyone fool.Very dishonest gesture from Momo I am
Very cozy n cool decor.. food quality is good
I have just been here for the first time and I am very much satisfied with their food. Although due to Puja season, I had to wait for an hour to get an seat, the food was really satisfying! And the pork here, I must say, is really delicious. This is what heaven may taste like! The pork ribs here is a must!
This outlet is behind city centre. The ambience is really nice with the graphic done on walls and the cute decors. The food was amazing. Special mention to the thai fried rice. It is amazing.
A very nice cozy place for some awesome Tibetan food. Very cheap and good food. Try their Tibetan delicacies and pork dishes. they are really good
Really loved this place. Great food and nice ambience. Especially loved the bao and momo. Can be suitable for all- family or friends, and you can go in for a snack or you can order a three course dinner. Good and polite staff and service was excellent. Will definitely recommend this place to others.
Tasty food..but so lil lil portion...not upto the price...but food r TASTY😛😋
Awesome place for foody ppl who like Chinese, Lebanese and Tibetan . I went to the outlet near city centre . Nice ambience .I had Chicken Bao and Pork Tibetan bowl . This place has great variety , u should definitely go and try something. I just loved being there and I will definitely go again. Prices are fine and food is of good quality and taste. Recommended to all.
Quick Review:- Type of food: Asian- You should definitely check it outExpanded review:Food & Drinks (4/5): Youll not get a chance to complain. Food is pretty good for the most part, although their momos were wayyy to oily (momos in threat of invasion by US). Check out the slow cooked pork and rice bowl.Service (3/5): The staff is accommodating and hospitable, but not trained well. They have a problem following the menu.Management (4/5): The place is managed well. The restaurant supervisors are extremely helpful and have a solid control over things.Ambience (3/5): Well decorated, but tight, crowded, and not kept clean.Cost (4/5): Affordable, especially for the quality of food it delivers to the table!Overall (4/5): Its like any Avengers movie. Are there areas to improve? Sure. But should you miss it? I wouldnt recommend depriving yourself of a good time.
Amazing place and good food.. an awesome place to chill with friends..
Tried this amazing tenthuk here. The noodles were handmade and super soft. I ordered mixed tenthuk which has chicken, egg ponch, pork and shrimp which together created an incredible aromatic flavour. Loooved it!!!❤️
A really nice & cozy restaurant just beside Kalyan Jewellers. Food quality is good and so the ambiance. We ordered Chicken Fried Momo, Mixed Fried Rice, Lasha Pork & Coke. Momos were excellent, same with the Fried Rice but the side dish could have been better. Service was superb. Totally recommended.
Exactly located near city centre 1 saltlake. Good ambience. Good food. Reasonable price.... Must visit. You should try chicken shyafale, kung pao chicken and chicken bao. You will not regret going there. Chicken shcezwan noodles and momo I am wings were not that good....
Its a good place to go alone (as I went), with friends, with companion, with family. Though because of crowd, it was very noisy but cant blame the restaurant for that because its the customers there. And its a famous place so it can happen that you have to wait to get the seats. The behavior of staff is good. They listen to your feedback and accept it and thats really nice. Now lets come to the food.Items :❤️ Mini Taipo : Saw this item in their chefs special menu so thought of ordering this. This is Momo but very soft. If you ever had Bao here, you can relate the outside of the Taipo as the Bao. 4 are given in a plate along with soup and two types of sauce. I loved this dish except the amount of salt in it, which was lil more than usual.❤️ Raspberry and Vanilla Bao : it came with a sweet Bao with some banana slices inside and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce type on the Bao. It was good to eat. No so sweet and tastes really nice.
Great Tibetan/Asuan cuisine. Their momos are to die for. All the different sauces and spices that go into the preparations make them unique. Pork ribs and baos and pad thai, altogether amazing stuff.
I love the food . Momo are so tasty . Please try .Food range is medium not so high not so cheap .Good service also 😊❤️Name : Hangover Spicy Chicken MomoPrice : 230/-Name : Zen Chilli ChickenPrice : 300/-Name : Veg Stir Fried NoodlesPrice : 160/-It is enough food for two people .If have any doubt and any questions you can ask me.😊
Worst Experience till date..I ordered shitake mushrooms and there was no mushrooms in my dish and when I told them about this thing I got the same leftovers with lil bit of mushrooms in it.The staff acted like it was my mistake.I am very disappointed with the services of the restaurant. There services have got very poor. The food here also is not the same as before. So I therefore request not to go there for having a good time.Trust me you will be disappointed. Didnt expect this after such a hype about Momo I am.Plus I am giving the photo of the guys who took our order and was very rude..The salt lake branch disappointed me in a very bad way
Great quality of food. A must try place. The momos and thukpas are really awesome. Only chinese and tibetian cuisine available. They have multiple outlets. The prices are affordable and quantity of food is also sufficient. I have visited their outlets at Rajarhat and Salt Lake and this is better both in terms of ambience and service. The waiters are also very friendly and helpful. If you love chinese - visit this place.
Food is really good, and the place is well sanitized.
Awesome varieties of food items. They prepare the pork dishes really well.I love the noodles soup and cheese cake .Already visited multiple times.Would love to go again.
I love the food at Momo I Am. Delicious in one word and very courteous. When they asked how the food was and I told them that the thukpa tasted a bit off and bland they immediately offered to replace it. Since we already had too many things we told them not to..but they were so nice that they gave us a complimentary dessert. Their baos are delicious.
The ambience is fine and the food is neither bad nor very good. It would rate the food as 4 out of 5
Very good place for hangout. the ambience is very good.. food quality and quantity is also too fantastic.. price is very pocket friendly..staffs are also good and well behaved..
Yesterdays dinner was a quick call and ended up to be a great one as well..Had my usual favourites at this beautiful eatery:#ChickenWantonSoup - heavenly..#PorkRibsBao - my favourite at this joint - the soft and juicy deboned pork ribs were simply yumm!!#LhasaPork - a delicious pork dish made with home made spices - truly a gastronomical delight.. (Picture missing unfortunately bcz I gobbled it up before clicking 😅).My humble two cents: #MUSTTRYJourney of an Epicurean Cine Trotter (FACEBOOK/BLOG) continues..My journey can also be tracked on INSTAGRAM via @epicureancinetrotterBy the way, have you joined Kolkata Food Trotters on FACEBOOK yet??
Had earlier tried out the dimsums, momos n wantons from the Lake Gardens outlet. On a pleasant Sunday night, my cousin treated a few of us to pineapple mocktail, panko fish, panko prawns, chili momos, veg noodles, chilli chicken, hunan fish n coriander rice n nolen gurer ice cream. Taste and quality of food was awesome. It was a jam packed Sunday night yet the staff was very cooperative n accommodating to all our demands n tantrums. Decor is simple, soothing n minimal. A must try place for everyone who love south asian cuisine.
Personally, my favourite restaurant. With pop culture vinyls over the wall and with good food, this place still holds the no 1 place in my restaurant list
Overall good but on occasion days the service and food are not that good compared to their other outlets.
Amazing restaurant and hoping more variety
The place has a very soothing decor and nice ambience. The behaviour of the staff was cordial. The place is a must-visit for authentic Chinese lovers. The food items we ordered were: slow cooked pork Bao, Tibetan bowl, and mixed Schezwan Hakka noodles. All the dishes were delicious. I would personally recommend having the pork Bao.
Somehow every single time I’ve been here with anyone, the food has never disappointed them or myself. The place has a decent ambience and is clean, with really good service. I honestly think their momos are the least interesting compared to all the other food they have. Definitely try their baos, which are made as open buns, unlike original Chinese baos which are stuffed and closed. The flavour are amazing. Their broths, wanton soup and noodle soups are absolutely beautiful and enough for two people. Their Bali Beach Prawns and garlic Cantonese style noodles are an all time favourite. They even have some interesting ice cream flavours including natural coconut and litchi, and a fried bao dessert with raspberry reserve. Their mocktails are perfect to go with the food too.
A lovely place for a different types of food but the service is very slow. You must try the Pork short ribs. Its very delightful.
This one certainly one of the best Chinese eat outs going about. It has a wide variety of preps to choose from ranging over rice, soup, noodles, momos. The ambience is good and it doesnt burn a neat hole in your pocket:) Would recommend it for hanging out with friends.
Ambience is good. Sarters taste good. Pork bao is awsome. But main couse and sides are not up to the mark.
