Food quality is very bad . Used chicken is not fresh . Price is high against food quality. After eating mixed chaowmin and chicken Manchurian my family member feels not well . My suggestion to restaurant check your food before sarve.

This is one of the hidden gems in restaurants around lake town area. Its been there quite since the beginning of this place. Good food, homely atmosphere and cost effectiveness are its biggest traits. Do check the fish fry and biriyani here...you will like it a lot👍👍👍👍

Today I had my birthday so, me and my husband went there..Mahalaya has been an integral part of the people of laketown, like us for a long time ..but this time..I literally experienced horrible dishes...garlic chicken was made highly spicy with some weird colour .taste was very bad and other items were seriously disgusting...I was very excited to visit this place after 2 yrs ..but I am really disappointed and dissatisfied with the taste of the food and also the behaviors of the staffs out there...will never recommend this place.

Partha is very nice. Chicken curry is OK. Fast Service. Reasonable price. As theres no other restaurant around, Mahalaya is the only alternative for a hungry stomach.

I have ordered Chicken Butter Masala (4 pcs) from here via Swiggy. This was my most worst food having experience. Food quality is very poor, very oily, and smells bad. Also as per the price the quantity is very very small. You can see it in the picture, the chicken for Rs.150.

It was originally a small road side eatery with few chairs and small tables. The food was okay price wise, quite well within budget, but the quality was never a strong forte of this restaurant. Around 7-8 years back, it was redecorated and they have tried to change for better. Still, it just about good enough when one us on budget and looking for some fast food or ore cooked food, but thats it. No particular dish can be recommended as there is none. The cooking is also pretty average and personally I had a stomach problem after having one of their Mutton preparations.

After a visit to our doctor at holistic in lake town we felt very much hungry. We stopped our car in front of Mahalaya restaurant during our return to our home. Rain started & we couldnt get down. My daughter got down & ordered for muglai parota & returned to the car. Within 5 minutes their delivery girl came running to the car & served the requested pack of food. So prompt! We were very much pleased & returned.

Decent restaurant for reasonable price but the staffs (waiter) conduct may not leave a good taste as they are too greedy. They wont give you the change back. Even before you think of leaving a tip for the waiter, the waiter there would keep the change for himself as a tip, which seems to be too offensive. Professionalism needs to be inculcated among the staff.
