Its a nice place in Ballygunge with Bengali cuisine which is more like experimented items and are a must try. The lighted up staircase sets the mood right for a cozy dinner. A vibrant decor with colorful chairs and utensils caters to a beautiful ambience. It has taken fusion food to a different level. A bit overpriced but totally worth the innovation associated.

Something unusal and artistic. If you are searching for some unique dish something different from usual dishes, you need to visit this place. Totally a hidden gem in the city located in Ballygunj just near to Patha Bhavan School.I must mention Chef Joymalya Banerjee better known as Chef Joy and he is a real artist. He is keen in experimenting on food and here he aims at contemporary Bengali dishes and cant be said as fusion dish. Hats off to him where he came up with such great unique concept of serving food to the people of the city.Coming up to the ambience its quirky and I really loved the grafitti and the quotes. They use to serve liquor too.Now coming up to the main thing that is food ! Highly recommended dishes from my side is Mochar ghonto au gratin, Bewra Murghi, Mutton reshmi - achaari mirch and the showstopper Gondhoraj Souffle.Mochar Ghonto au gratin was a total surprise. Combination of Au gratin concept which is an Italian dish with famous Bengali dish Mochar Ghonto was something tremendous. It was baked and served. At the first glance I didnt find it that much attractive but while having that it hit my tastebuds. Simply awesome.Bewra Murgh - Chicken marinated with old monk and other ingredients for more than 24 hours and tandoored.Mutton Reshmi Achari Mirch - Mutton seekh kebab which is made with minced mutton but here a twist of mixing achar to it. The item was spicy as well as tangy. Good one indeed.Gondhoraj Souffle - Showstopper of the day. It was refreshing. We all know Gondhoraj lemon is something close to the heart of Bengalis due to its flavour, smell and refreshing thing. The souffle done right with blending Gondhoraj flavour and grated peel of Gondhoraj lemon.

Taking the concept of fusion food to a different level. My favorite picks were Mochar Ghonto Augratin, Bori Polao, Apple Tarka with Garlic Naan , Bewra Murghi and Gondhoraj souffle.Simply mindboggling experience. The location is very convenient too just a few steps from Patha Bhavan School near Ballygunge Phari .Loved my experience here.Lipsmacking food and warm hospitality.

Not up to the mark. Heard a lot about this place, so went with great expectations. But most of the cocktails were not available and also not of the deserts. So was not able to order what all were my first preferences. Anyway ordered 2 cocktails, which were good . Then ordered bacon wrapped srimp which were good. And also cream chili chicken, which were also quite good. But the presentation were not upto the expectation. Then aodered an item called Pagla Mamar Bririyani. Didnt liked that at all. It came with a mutton salsa and cucumber pomegranate salsa, both of these salsas were very tasty. But overall it did not satisfied the fine dinning experience.

Heard about this place for sometime and finally got a chance to visit. Menu was interesting and innovative. Chef has tried to tweak and twist every item on the menu. Not one dish seemed to be its original traditional version. For starter I tried Grilled chicken wraps with nolen gur which was ok. I was not impressed. Main course we ordered Murshidabadi barbecued chicken with onion chatney. This was really outstanding! It was basically grilled chicken served with a perfectly fried egg, onion (I assume) jam, pita bread with kasundi on top and some potato preparation. Each item on the plate went well with the chicken. We also ordered Kacha lonka murgin and were really happy with it. To end, we ordered malpua cheesecake and it was disastrous. We couldnt find any bit of malpua inside. Nor it had the taste of cheesecake. This was a real disappointment and really wish the chef improves the dessert menu.

Till yesterday night I had no idea that a funny named Punjabi style dhaba existed in a lane in Old Ballygunge. My son and daughter in law had been there and were impressed by the taste of Indo European fusion food served there. I am no fan of such nonsense as ‘fusion’ food. But agreed reluctantly and landed up late evening along with family. The name outside read ‘The Bohemian’ and I thought lucky to get bohemian after a long hiatus. Once inside my son and daughter in law felt depressed that they no longer offer the fusion food which had impressed them earlier. We had no choice but to order from the Punjabi menu. Frankly it was blessing in disguise. It was fantastic, specially the mutton and fish items. Ambience was great and very cost effective. Do drop in!

Unique fusion food of Bengali and Continental cuisine. The concept, ambience everything is perfect. We had visited this last year and was amazed. If you like Bengali food and want to try something beyond the standard offering served across food joint over the years, this is the place to be. Similarly people who are apprehensive about Bengali cuisine and want to try it the first time, go for this as you will almost feel having a continental cuisine. Only drawback is over the years their innovation and experimenting of new food seems to have dropped a bit.
