My favorite Thai restaurant in Kolkata.. coming from Oberoi, fantastic service is expected (and they deliver). The decor is nice (and Thai), seating sections carefully designed (including sit in private sections) and the food impeccable. I am a big fan of their fish preparations, as well as soups and salads. Normally only opens for dinner during weekdays, but with some restoration work in the hotel, is open for lunch these days. Wine collection is nice if you like a drink!

Fantastic place. One of the best Thai restaurants that I have visited. Prices are a bit upwards but its okay to indulge once in a while if the experience is so good. Repeat visit is due. Am looking forward to it.

I loved the food here. The soup was light but flavourful. Kai Yang was really tasty. The green curry was watery and little intense in flavour for my taste. But overall I will give 4.6 stars. I will recommend this restaurent if you love Thai food. You will taste the authentic Thai flavours here.

Has been a dream of mine to dine here since my childhood days when I used to walk around Oberoi during my summer visits to Kolkata. Finally got a chance last Sunday and I took it. As chances go this visit was 50:50 on good:bad ratio. Not sure of the hype and the price given that a visit there wouldnt be vastly different from a visit to Mocambo (appearance wise). Food quality and innovation was sub-par for the hole it burned in my pocket.Easily Avoidable

Good one can be better especially the service. The food was delicious and the Ambience was nice. The waiters were polite and attentive. We ordered continental, Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Japanese cuisine. Always ask for mineral water..never go for normal water. The service can be better..they take hours to prepare food and serve you .they need to speed up the service especially the continental dishes. This place is good for family get together.. birthday celebrations..etc.

Was on a family holiday to Kolkata and staying at the Oberoi Grand. That evening we decided stay in. This was my first visit although I have stayed at this hotel several times. It was a good decision. The food has diversity and a wide choice. Thai cuisine in the subcontinent is usually restricted to a few popular dishes. Here you can try a few which perhaps you haven’t tried before and if you take the help of the maitre d’ you will not be disappointed. We did. Will return. Recommended

Good ambience, but food was unfortunately disappointing. Red curry was not up to the mark and chicken was gelatinous. Food took long to come and service quality was patchy. I was looking forward for a long time to come here. Unfortunately I will not be coming here again.

Great food. The tom yum soup (prawn) was absolutely amazing. The attendants are cordial but not as polished as you would expect in a 5 star property.The ambiance was disappointing. The place gets very noisy with few people around and the place feels dirty. It has little higher rating than deserved. Vintage asia of Marriott can provide far better experience than this. Surprisingly, it costs 30 to 40% higher than Vintage Asia.

Nice place to have food with your family

Insanely salty food. The beef tenderloin wasnt very tender. Also, the flavors didnt taste like authentic Thai. (Ive been to Thailand many times). Very disappointing, especially for the high price. The decor is nice and they open late, so those are the plus sides.

Probably the best Thai food in the city! Authentic food, helpful staff, beautiful ambience and amazing property. Must visit place if you like Thai cuisine. Pad Thai noodles is a must try.

Baan thai serves best thai food that I have ever had. Good ambience, loved the hospitality and food is awesome. We had the Loy Karthong menu offered on the occasion of same name. 7 course menu is bit difficult to finish but food....no words.

I have been to the Grand in a marriage ceremony! What i loved the most was the classical thai noodle that was being prepared and being served hot! I enquired the cooks name. It was Mr Abishek Karki. He has some magic in his fingers when he cooks with some sauce and ingredients and the noodle tastes so good and lovely....i salivate everytime i think of it! Thank you Mr Abishek Karki for making my tastebuds alive! Hope to visit again soon!

Nice restaurant but service is little slow....I found good and healthy quality of food here..and price is also not so high...its in budget...here all types of payment is acceptable...located in crowded area...if you feel hunger then please try this restaurant....
