We stayed here for one day in Dec 2020 while coming back from Goa.First impression: Service , ambiance is very good. Basic facilities like drinking water, washroom, bed are good.They provide home made food which is always fresh and delicious.Try Egg thali for sure there its awesome.Owners are very friendly and helpful.Suggestions:1. Please add one bed side table if possible below switch to keep mobile and other charging stuffs.2. Can improve Beds and Pillows.Current are also good but there is chance of improvement so adding this point.Next time whenever we are visiting kolhapur we are surely gonna book this stay only.

Quiet and Peaceful ambience, Homely stay, affordable price. This review would be helpful for those who come to visit Kolhapur from Outstation. City centre is not far from Karkare Holiday Home, So if you have your Own vehicle and save the hazzle of Parking . This would be a better option for stay.

We just had a 2 nights stay at Karakare Holiday homes. Room rates are nominal and not overpriced. Rooms are clean and tidy with or without AC. All beds and bedsheets were arranged perfectly and properly washed and cleaned. Owner Mr. Vaibhav Karkare personally welcome every guest and take utmost care of each guest. He is so cooperative and helpful, even when I approched him late night for some medical emergency.We all enjoyed this stay and their hospitality, thank you very much. I urge all to prefer their homestay whenever you wish to be in Kolhapur.

I stayed here for an over night hault going toeardsGoa from Pune..Its conveniently placed near to highway..So people needing to hit the highway again, this would save time..This is not a hotel but a holiday home which is nicely and neatly maintained..Vaibhav the owner is a very good host..I checked in at 1 am however he was all up to help and constantly checked with me if I would need dinner or anything since I was reaching late.. Although I did not take the food here so cannot comment on that however rooms were neat and washroom was good(western) .My wife is a little freak about washrooms..Thx Vaibhav for being a great Host..

We visited Karkare Holiday Home in June 19. The rooms were neat and clean. Mr Vibhav was the best host. The dining area is nicely made and even the breakfast options very good. The entire home stay set up was a first time experience for us and indeed it was very good and memorable.

Its located near Ganpati Mandir,R K Nagar,Kolhapur.Om my brothers wedding we booked it for our guests.They have proper accomodation facility for stay.They have their own catering like they will provide you food as well like lunch dinner snacks breakfast.Clean and neat place for stay.Cost wise also its reasonable .

We stayed in this homestay twice once in April 2017 and in Nov 2018. Both times, the experience was pleasant.The location though far from the city is very convenient as a pitstop from/to Bangalore or other places on the NH48.u2028There is parking available in the premises if driving.u2028The rooms are extremely simple with basic amenities. The toilets are clean and functional.The host and the family are extremely friendly and courteous and accommodate almost all requirements as needed.The famous Mahalakshmi temple is a short rickshaw drive away which was arranged by Mr. Vibhav himself.The only downside if any were the lack of bedside tables (we used chairs).The highlight without a doubt is the fantastic home cooked food and family ‘walla’ feeling.

The property is not a 3 or 4 star property but it is a good property and well maintained. It is a simple holiday home and it is good as per their standard. Overall my stay was reasonable in this property.

It’s excellent for family. I had been there for 2 nights with my friends .Owner and his family. Food served was very good. Nice and calm place , clean and tidy rooms. Strongly recommend to live when anyone is in Kolhapur..

Home food, good service clean and neat rooms

We stayed for 1 night on 19 Oct 2018. Mr. Vibhav was very honest,quick in his reply from the first day and rooms are available at reasonable price too. We were large group around 25 adults, rooms and washrooms was very clean. we reached at midnight and route was confusing, but host came and guided us to the destination. Kitchen area was also good and cooked our own food. Dining area was also provided to us. Holiday home is located in a peaceful place, peace and nature loving persons can enjoy every seconds.

Very amazing quiet and peaceful place. Had a wonderful experience. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Also the host is a very good chef...all the dishes on the menu are homecooked so please do try their food. Its yummy also very reasonable for price. Highly recommend this place

Karkare Holiday Home (Approved by MTDC) name itself explain about it. It is really a true home. Its highlight is the hospitality of Vaibhav Karkare and his family, who make you feel like a family member. Karkare HH is one of the best holiday homes with economical rates to stay in Kolhapur. Rooms are neat, clean and very well maintained. Rooms have backyard. My kids enjoyed the backyard :). The restaurant offers you tasty food with good quantity (both veg and non veg) at a reasonable price. I will surely recommend having stay in this home, it just 3-4 Km away from NH4 & 2-3 Km away from Mahalaxmi Temple.Thanks Vaibhavji and family!!!!

It was in the commercial area. Restaurant was not available. It was a clean place. It was secure place. There was no restriction for going out and coming back. The hotel owner was helpful enough to manage our services.

It was awesome...the food provided is awesome as well..the famous pandhra rassa n tambda rassa is also available here.. breakfast is also delicious and has a variety..the people here are very helpful and prompt...

We stopped by at this place on our way to Goa. Neat and clean rooms. Food was not great and would suggest not to go for it. Rest, it was a peaceful stay.
