Padma is one of the authentic restaurant for pandhara and tambada rassa (white and red curry). This all different style of cooking makes kolhapur a very good tourist place as well.This restaurant is closer to ambabai temple anad bindu chouk.Ou tof all this is my favourite place.

The decor is simple, tables large and place clean. Service is polite and prompt.You can have varieties of Kolhapuri mutton like special mutton, muttton lonche (pickle), fry mutton, green mutton, mutton kharda, Kheema and mutton rice. They are available as ala carte or as in thalis. Super Special Mutton Thali gives samples of four of these. Thalis are sufficiently large. And of course unlimited supply of Tambda and Pandhra Rassa. Authentically Kolhapuri. Taste is special, authentic and awesome. Chicken and Veg dishes are also available.We went opening up after pandemic and were delighted to find foot (pedal) operated soap dispenser and water tap. No touching.An old establishment, renowned and maintaining it.

This review is based on me and my family had in padma guest house restaurant. The ambience is nice. Food quality is fair. Cost is on higher side. The reason i put 2 is service , pathetic. They treat us like they are doing favour for us while serving. Not even a glass of water was offered , when extra plate was asked it was like big thing for them. So smile on staff faces. Am sorry i felt bad and offended. Hope the management looks into it

Ok Ok place. If you’re looking for stay, it’s an avg place. Not family friendly. Water supply is with very low pressure. Hot water is always an issue. No breakfast available so that again is a problem. I saw many people recommending mutton thali here. Personally I did not find it close to authentic kolhapuri cuisine. They charge 25₹ for water bottles instead 20. Idiotic stuff. Not recommended to anyone. 👎🏼

Prices are high as compared to food quality and quantity. Previously around 6to 7 year back they are serving good quality of food at affordable prices.

Padma Guest House in Kolhapur is a combination of guest house plus dining hall. A simple place serving traditional food since 1947. The decor is filled with black n white pictures of the pre n post independence era. The mutton Thali here is worth a try. I had the mutton fry special Thali which included the tambda rassa, pandhara rassa, mutton masala, mutton fry, mutton rice, bhakri n salad. The tambda rassa, mutton fry n mutton rice stood out for me. Rest all were gud. Solkadi was ok.

Food was great, mainly Non-veg food.

The authentic kholapuri. It is spicy but not hot spicy. This place is crowded, so expect a wait. Also, the parking is messed up, as the city has mushroomed around this place. Having said all that, it was well worth it. They have a branch near the highway, which goes by Padma hotel (needs double check). The non veg thalis are amazing. I could go with bigger portions (that also speaks about taste).

This is my all time favorite place in Kolhapur for having Mutton. Its almost always crowded, so make sure you reach a little early or late for lunch or dinner. The place has been recently been renovated. Definitely try the mutton lonche (pickle) and different mutton thalis they offer.
