So last year we had our visit here, Kolhapur dumping area, we wanted to study the work process of solid waste crushing machine. The people here including technical and non technical were supportive they told us very good information about the machine and also how waste is processed, how electricity is generated through waste, how the machine works. Actually here no doubt its very smelly but I suggest to use an helmet and mask and full clothes its no doubt dirty place but management is good. I visited this plant several times for studying crushing machine. Visit once if you want to see how waste management is done.

Not 1 star also but to post the comment need to give at least one.Very disgusting ... Question is How municipal corporation made this place a waste dumping ground?So many peoples are living around this ground before corporation started dumping.And our much alerted MPCB board is not taking any action or doing nothing against it.20 years before this place was very nice & beautiful, Only two big waste tanks were there.Now days this is the worst place in Kolhapur I guess.
