The bank initially preferred the role of a regional bank in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. In the FY 2016-17 The Bank has a market capitalization of ₹12,529.92 crore (US$1.8 billion) and it has 550 branches and widened its ATMs reach to 1486 locations.
