Choose Lourds hospital for the best pediatric service in Ernakulam district. Consult Dr Rojo Joy. He’s a very patient person who genuinely cares about his patients. He always takes the time to explain things in detail. He’s diligent in making sure my health is the best it can be. The entire staff is wonderful. I would say the best pediatric service in Ernakulam. My daughter admitted in hospital last week. We got the best service. Clean rooms, good and caring nurses, good house keeping. All over satisfied.

I am most delighted to recommend Lourdes Hospital for the excellent care and concern we had received . We are touched by the care and receptivity shown by Dr Sreeram Prasad and Dr Arjun Chacko of Neurology Department of the hospital who are not only competent/ skilled doctors but excellent professionals with a human touch. The administration of the hospital is headed by an efficient executive and team who work without rest to ensure the well being of the patients on the one hand and the clock work upkeep of the various services offered by the hospital on the other hand . The nursing care is excellent with nurses who go out of the way to keep the patient comfortable and are ever ready with a smile to cater to any need of the patient any time. We have observed that the hospital takes COVID precautions very seriously and maintains a hygienic environment. Our sincere thanks to Dr Sreeram Prasad and Dr Arjun Chacko and the entire team of nurses and staff of the Neurology Department as well as the administration unit of the hospital led by its efficient executive Ms. Navitha , all of whom we cannot forget for their exemplary skill , care , love and concern. We have no hesitation in saying that the Hospital is one of the best for various medical services.A word of special praise for Dr Shobha Philip , HOD of Anaestheology Department , who went out of her way to be present through out the procedure . A committed and dedicated doctor she is, even supporting her juniors when the situation demanded it.Susie B Varghese IRSChief Commissioner of Income Tax ( Rtd)

If you are a regular patient in this hospital then you will suffer any emergency in holidays or weekends. Management please run like a hospital. A year ago I had severe pain and swelling on the left lower limb.Since no relief was found through pain killers and other medications I approached Dr.Vimal Iype, the vascular surgeon,at Lourde’s Hospital,Ernakulam. After thorough examination and relevant tests he arrived at the diagnosis that I was having Deep Vein Thrombosis extending upto the external iliac vein and also symptoms of May Thurner Syndrome. As advised by the surgeon I got admitted on 28-09-2020 and on the very next day I was subjected to Catheter directed Thrombolysis. After discontinuing thrombolysis I was taken up for the Left Common Iliac Venoplasty on 3-10-2020.With the care, attention and quality treatment under the watchful eyes of Dr.Vimal Iype and his team my cure was so rapid and I was discharged on 06-10-2020.Although I am still on crepe bandaging and a couple of tablets I feel fit as a fiddle now.My heart goes to the doctors and staff of the Vascular Department in Lourde’s Hospital.

I was ( ofcourse WAS) an admirer and well-wisher of this Hospital always. Now their reputation is growing down. But now faced worst experience many times. A lot enough to narrate. Last one was on 19/07/2021 from Emergency Department. Unskilled doctors making patients experimental animals. I tried to question the same experienced by my wife. But the so called HOD of the Dept. of Emergency Medicine didnt want to talk to me. He told me that he doesnt want to hear anything from me and dont call him again. This is the way a doctor behaving with a bystander. ( I am also a doctor). Even before we have met with arrogant attitudes of the nurses there especially from ICU. I have complained a lot, but of no use. Everything goes in deaf ears. As a doctor lot of my friends are working there. Even also this is my experience.NB: If anyone mark four or five stars the owner will thank the person who written the feedback. If any person marks a single star and make negative comments they wont bother it or write any reply. This is the typical example how they treat the patient.

Mr. Vimal Iype(cant even call him a doctor)the so called vascular surgeon is one of the worst human being we have ever met. Forget calling him a Doctor, he is not even a good human being. Such a disgarce to a noble profession. A person who lacks patience and compassion which is a quintessential quality being a Doctor. Such an arrogant and rude behaviour. Lourdes was our first choice of medical aid, but never again. Especially to the vascular department where Mr. Vimal rules. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Will surely discourage our kith and kin who is in need of healthcare assistance in visiting Lourdes especially to the dreaded vascular department. We dont want others to experience the same. He may bring you revenue Lourdes, but slowly he is eating away your goodwill.

It was our neighbour who told us regarding the Home care service by Family Medicine department of Lourdes hospital. I consulted Dr. Resmi, Family Medicine specialist at Lourdes hospital. There were not much formalities for registering for home care. Since then, the Family Medicine team including doctor and nurses from Lourdes hospital regularly visits my father. It has been 8 months now. Changing tubes, routine check up and advice to home nurse regarding care for him- all these are now taken care of. My father eagerly waits for their visits to him and it has brought a big change to him and us too. Since the last 8 months, he was not brought to hospital even once. Put all of us ease before and after the needle.Thank you allThe only negative aspect was the 20 bucks parking fees. The first time I encountered this on Lourdes. Maybe this is a new ( unwelcome) policy because this is the first time I am visit Lourdes after several years. My parents, my siblings my wife and even I have been patients there. Actually my 24 year old daughter is a Lourdes Baby! So, this parking charge of Rs.20 was a negative aspect that brought in a taint of unwelcome commercialisation to an otherwise very pleasant experienceA star is omitted for this reason aloneEdit: Memories of my personal experience for years ago at Lourdes has changed my decision. For what happened at that time, you deserve many more stars.I will give details of that experience belowMany years ago I had the opportunity to be admitted to the ICU. I was witness to poor old lady brought in by passersby on the road after she collapsed. The duty nurse asked for her relatives or bystanders to give details. No one knew her, only had brought her when she collapsed. So there was no one to pay or get her admitted. The duty nurse without delay summoned the Sister in charge who immediately instructed her to start all necessary treatment for that poor woman. This incident which I personally witnessed was in sharp contrast to the time I took my late father to Lissie when he had a bout of cardiac asthma and was finding it difficult to breathe. It was night and the duty staff wouldnt start even oxygen as he lay gasping for breath until I had paid the registration/treatment fees. At midnight I was running desperately to locate the night cash counter while my father was lying in that state whispering he couldnt breathe. The only reaction from the duty staff was Avide minndathe kedakku apachaAll this after the then Chief Physician of Lissie Dr. Joseph Kurien had phoned in advance instructing them that his cousin (my father) was being brought to the ICU.So much for visiting a hospital run by the Syro Malabar and the treatment meted out to a Syro Malabar! When I remembered all this I think I can overlook the Rs.20 I paid as parking fees

Five stars are not enough for Dr. Rojo Joy, senior consultant (neonatology and pediatrics). I could say Dr.Rojo Joy is an incarnation of God to others. The best doctor I have ever met. He is so talented , dedicated and passionate about his profession. I have been consulting Dr. Rojo Joy for nearly six years. I had my first child 6 years ago with severe IUGR and preterm issues. His timely interventions during my childbirth are still helping my elder son stay healthy. When my elder son was 3.5 years old ,he was suffering due to fever and I had consulted another doctor in a nearby hospital. But after having the medicine my baby got more severe and I had to rush to the emergency department in the night. They Told me to admit my baby immediately because he is having infection in blood. But I refused to take admission there and told them to give him medicines to reduce his temperature. Next morning I came to Dr. Rojo Joys OPD and explained the symptoms. He simply examined my sons head. He found some rashes over there and told me, this was the cause of the fever and prescribed the medicines. After that incident I was afraid to consult my baby to any other doctors than Dr. Rojo Joy.On February 22nd I had my second delivery at Lourdes hospital. When I was 5 months pregnant with my second baby we came to know that I am having blood circulation issues to the uterus and the chances of having preterm delivery is high. We thought to have a second opinion but its our trust in Dr.Rojo Joy led us to continue the treatment at Lourdes hospital, because we are confident that Dr.Rojo wont miss out any minute things about our newborn. My second baby also had severe IUGR and preterm issues like my elder son.when the new born is having some issues, the parents will be really depressed and stressed like anything. But Dr. Rojo will make sure that you and him are on the same page. Every morning he will apprise the parents what happened on the previous day, what is the current condition of the baby, what are the developments or issues he observed , about the lab test results, what are the medicines to be provided etc. He truly listens to us that what are we anxious about and make sure all our questions are answered. He wants to make sure that every parent coming out from the counselling room after the discussion to be calm and relaxed. He is doing this on a daily basis and even on Sundays too... !I do not think any other doctors would do such things..!I am extremely satisfied with the effort he puts to comfort the newborn as well as the parents. After transferring the newborn from the NICU to the postnatal ward, he thoroughly guide us the important things which has to be taken care of ,like how to breastfeed the baby, how to take care the babys temperature, how to give the medicines and importance of burping after breastfeeding etc. He Strongly supports breastfeeding and advise us to give only breast milk for six months. My baby was in the NICU for 16 days, and 3 days in postnatal ward.On the last day when I got discharged, me and my husband went to see him in his OPD. Between his hectic schedule, he spent some time with us and reminded us again about the things to be done after going home. He even explained very well how to manage the elder baby when the newborn arrives home.I cant express my happiness in words to describe my experience. Lourdes hospital is really blessed and proud to have a doctor like him. Thank you so much doctor ! You are being called as Gods hands.May your days be wonderful and healthy like you make it for others!Let me thank my gynecologist Dr.Chaithra for her tremendous care & support during my difficult days. Her kind words and extra ordinary care helped me to be confident throughout my pregnancy.I was mentally and physically down after my delivery,I was literally crying when I had spinal headache. But Dr.chaithra helped me to be calm and relaxed during my postpartum days.I thank all the staff in NICU,gynec and paediatric ward.Overall it was a nice experience.Thank you for spreading smiles. . .!_Deepisha Anoop_

So as per icmr list i found out this hospital..and i called them whether they take out patients for covid test..as it was a sunday i also inquired whether they conduct covid test on sundays...the lady on the other end(reception i guess) told ya madam you can come at any time but as it is sunday today we dont have OP for the test, so you go directly to the casuality for the test. When i called they connected to their lab and confirmed this information... By hearing this myself and my brother went there... We head to the casuality but the lady over there was in a doubt and said they cant do it from casuality... So i told them i inquired about this through telephone and we are coming from far away just because they confirmed about conducting test... But the lady didnt allowed me for the test... Then we both got out from there... But again i called the reception for informing them about this... And the lady on the other side was confused.... It was for my travel purpose.. So i was in urgent need for the test... But she said as it is Sunday we dont do test...so i told them i already inquired about this earlier and after getting confirmation only i came here... I was so frustrated....why do these people provide false information...as you all know how risky it is to go to the hospital in this pandemic situation... I was so desperate for their behavior... They could have said it earlier so that i wouldnt go over there... I recommend them to provide the correct information to those people who are asking for....

A modern healthcare facility with state-of-the-art infrastructure providing all the super-speciality services but with a focus on a holistic healing experience, encompassing all dimensions of human life - mind, body, and spirit.Lourdes Hospital has, over half a century, earned for itself a reputation for providing affordable healthcare with no compromise on quality. This is probably why over 1700 patients visit the hospital every day from all parts of Kerala, from other States in India, and from abroad as well.It probably is also the reason why Lourdes Hospital is today, the premier multi-specialty tertiary care hospital in Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala.

Personaly I had very very bad experience in this hospital...Took my mother for post surgic treatment in this hospital.the surgery was done in another hospital but due to reputation of the hospital and its of our diocese management we hope to get better treatment. But Dr. Santhosh Abraham who claims to be a senior doctor in front of all juniors humiliated1 her and denied treatment. Its not for a free consultation we took her.we paid rs.200 plus 50 advance booking fee.Is this what a doctor should do when a patient approaches him? Is this what the medical ethics he took promises of and is this what he shows his juniors to become? If he cant treat her then he should tell straight with mutual respect. How can treat a patient approaching him irrespectfuly. And even after taking this issue to PRO and Director of the hospital they seems to be afraid of taking any action against him. Also refused to repay consultation fee inspite of this treatment denial. If we the diocesan people have this experience then then what about others..

A tribute to The administration, Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Lourdes Hospital. I got very hearty and loving care from all of you.*HEALTHCARE: The finest of all Fine Arts!*Fr. Joshy Mayyattil(17th Nov 2020)In 1868 Florence Nightingale wrote: “Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation as any painters or sculptors work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of Gods Spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts”.At this period of Corona pandemic, These words of Florence Nightingale deserve much more careful reflection and appreciation from the public.Very often this “finest of Fine Arts’’ turns into an extremely risky affair. During disease outbreaks, health care workers put their own safety at risk to care for others. During the SARS outbreak in 2002, one-fifth of all cases were among health care workers. More than 3,300 of the 78,800 corona virus cases by the end of February 2020 in mainland China were among healthcare workers. In Italy and in the US the situation is not different.*Sacrificial Love: An art of the Master*The story of the Good Samaritan (Lk 10,25-37) could be considered as the biblical imagery of the Nurses’ Ministry. Compassion is the gist of the parable. It is to be noted that the contrast brought about by Jesus in this parable is between the Good Samaritan and the Temple officials. The nursing ministry of the Good Samaritan is here clearly preferred to the perfect, meticulous and punctual sacrifice of the Priest and the Levite in Jerusalem Temple.Compassion is the best sacrifice and that is the life and message of Jesus. In fact, Jesus is the Good Samaritan who poured the oil of love upon the wound of the ailing human race. He healed the wounds of Adam who was attacked, robbed and left almost dead by Satan. He carried the human race upon his shoulder and led it into the tent of the recovered ones. He spent everything he had, even the last drop of blood and water! He still cares for each human being. Yes, He is the best nurse the world has ever seen.*Sacrificial Love: An art of the Disciples*The Master told His disciples: “If anyone thirsts let him come to me and drink. Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water” (Jn 7,38). This He spoke about the Holy Spirit His disciples were to receive for their witnessing life. Yes, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of love. That is why St. Paul writes that it is through the Holy Spirit that the love of God has been poured into our hearts (Rom 5,5).It is to be noted that the nursing ministry of Mary at Einkerem (Lk 1,39-56) was a ministry of the Spirit. Love is the best and most useful gift of the Spirit! It is also the best sign of Christianity: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (Jn 13,35). Yes, it is the art of the disciples of Christ - the art of the missionaries of Christ!*Nursing Love: A Eucharistic Life*The Crucified is the best artist in history. In dying on the Cross, by giving himself in order to raise and save man, Jesus expresses love in its most sublime form. “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (Jn 15,13). This artist founded the best art form of love which is nothing other than the Holy Eucharist. The self-emptying love of Jesus is something chronic! By participating in the Eucharist, we too are involved in the dynamic of his self-giving. But now in this corona time we are not able to participate in the Holy Mass. Our altars are not surrounded by us. However, you nurses, you have your altars with you. You are just doing what He commanded you to: Do this in memory of me!.🙏I personally thank and appreciate each one of you, doctors, nurses and other staff of Lourdes Hospital, Ekm for your courageous and self-effacing care for me during my Covid 19 days.🙏*Thank you, dear Masters & Mistresses of the finest of all Fine Arts!!!*
