A central place in Fort Cochin - all within a short walk of the hotel.The place is very clean and tidy. Very good and varied breakfast.The rooms are all air conditioned if you want air conditioning.The owner helps visitors and guides them throughout.Warm and homely atmosphere.

A 3rd grade treatment by Mr.Abu .I had booked a room 1 month back and last minute he cancelled saying no room was available. I had to book a room again. Very bad people, just running for money... Mr.Abu should be punished severely for troubling people. useless

Mr Abu is wonderful and so thoughtful. We organized everything through him so easily. Plus the free breakfast is perfect (including good coffee). 100% would stay here again.

The homestay owners clearly lacks integrity. We had booked a room online and when we went there they said they cant give the room because they are no longer honouring online bookings. It was new years eve and they clearly resold the already booked (and paid) room to someone else who paid higher. This sabotaged our whole holiday plans and we had to return home. Please avoid this untrustworthy establishment.

Please avoid this homestay for your own peace of mind. The business owners lack any kind of business ethics and empathy. They denied us service at the last moment despite the room being paid for in advance. They sold our room for someone else who offered to pay higer during the last minute rush before new year. Dear homestay owner, theres no difference between what you are doing and highway robbery. Stay blessed.

The best part about this home-stay is the host. Great people who really make you feel at home. The place is clean and well maintained. Located in a Calm and beautiful area. The place is walking distance from the Chinese fishing nets, Kathakali Centre and other attractions. The host has a terrace where he serves breakfast and the appams (a local rice preparation) were amazing.

Bitter experience from OYO in newyears eve. I had booked the room and paid the amount via OYO however when i reached the hotel I was shocked to hear they dont have free rooms even though I have CONFIRMED BOOKING. I never had this kind of experience in my lifetime and was clueless for few minutes because I have to find a place to sleepover in the busy newyears eve when everyone is enjoying and relaxing. The frustration I had at that moment and every moment after is unmanagable. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ANY COST AS THEY DONT ANY INTEGRITY TO CUSTOMERS. Im pretty sure thy sold the room to someone else on higher price. Pathetic unwelcoming mannerless service.

Honolulu Homestay under Mr Abu and his family was an absolute delight. The rooms were sufficiently comfortable and clean. Mr Abu and his family make a smashing breakfast every morning. Aside from food, he truly goes out of his way to ensure we want for nothing. He is knowledgeable of the sights to see around Kochi— you need only ask. He helped to arrange all our transport and tours for us. Honolulu Homestay is located about a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist area. It was nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist parts. I definitely recommend this to you. Thanks so much to Mr Abu and his family for the warm and wonderful hospitality.

Warm welcome-very friendly – clean and comfortableIf youre looking for a room in Kochi, you should try this one and feel at home from the very first minute. The family gives you a warm welcome and helps you with any needs or questions a traveller might have. The rates are very reasonable for the quality you experience. The rooms (incl. the bathroom) are clean. There is no phone or tv - but who needs one on holidays. But there is a wifi free of charge for you. From the rooftop terrace you have a good view around. And the continental breakfast helps you getting ready for the day.

Perfect location, friendly welcome off the planeI stayed with Honolulu Homestay for 2 nights having just arrived in India and off a long sweaty bus journey. The home stay is quiet, clean and in the perfect area to explore the sights of Fort Kochi. They arranged a massage for me and also tickets to the Kathkali show and were always super friendly and helpful about what to do in the area. The dosa breakfast is not to be missed - arrive hungry : )

Made to feel part of the familyI cannot say enough great things about aboo and his family and their beautiful homestay. The house itself is stunning and it is a privilege to be able to stay there but I think the best thing about the homestay is the welcome you receive. Aboo and his family are so kind and offer great advice and information so you can best enjoy your stay in Kochi, this begins before you even arrive so you feel very comfortable. Also, the food is outstanding and such a treat.If we ever get to go back to Kerala, I hope we do, I will stay here again without hesitation.

The rooms were clean and nice, the location is very good (very close is a superb restaurant Dal Rothi-worth every penny), and the owners (aboo with wife and his son) very helpful, and caring.We were really lucky to have wandered into this peaceful homestay and enjoyed their services and their company very much. Lovely small & quiet family run homestayWe arrived at Honolulu Homestay after a long and draining journey from Bangalore and it was a relief to land in a quiet, friendly and very clean guesthouse. Aboo and Taris are extremely friendly and invite you into their home as if it was your own, so much so that we spent longer than expected there, 5 nights in total. They are always keen to help you, even late at night, and will go out of their way to make sure you make the most of your time in Kochi, ie arranging scooter hire, backwaters trip, etc. The availability of bottled mineral water (chilled or room temperature) at any time of day was also life saving! Our room came at a reasonable price and was a nice size with small en-suite bathroom, very clean and peaceful. Although we missed out on a balcony room, we were able to enjoy the sun (and breakast). The rooms have wi-fi but if you do not have your own laptop, the family computer downstairs is always free to be used. It is well located in Fort Kochi with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops only a stones throw away - be sure to visit our personal favourites Dal Roti and Kashi Art Cafe.

Best homestay I ever stayedI have visited kochi 2nd week of feb.2013 , for my honeymoon trip,The Experience was awesome there. We in Honolulu Homestay they people are providing very good quality rooms for staying, very neat and clean room and washroom also,i got proper assistance to sight seeing and to go backwater house boat ,and visiting the city church at very low cost.the best thing the beach and the Historical church and lots of place to visit are very near by Honolulu Homestay, just on walking distance, i have such a nice experience with Aboo & Taris they are very helpful. We were a party of 7 people. The day we arrived, Kerala was on strike. The homestay ppl( particularly Mr. Aboo) had no realization that we were heading their way, tho v had made a reservation long back. It turned out to be a fault of the system/booking software perhaps. Anyway, there were a french couple stayin over and they couldn check out due to the strike and it seemed like we were stranded. But Aboo, tho he was sleepy(it was 6 in the mornin with gloomy and wet weather), thought it over and offered us to accommodate us in different homestays, We were reluctant to this idea, and having understood this, he started clearing up a reserve room and set it out perfectly. We got to stay together, and were made to feel at home in a matter of half an hour. The man is very sweet and you will feel very welcome at his place. I would recommend it always!! :)
