After that it is linked with the local madambi kannukulangara kaimal, who was a manthrikan(majeeshian)one day saw a little good looking girl playing, dancing through the branches in the tiny forest, on his way. With the mental power,he recognized that the girl is not mearly a human. The girl called kaimal and ask him to bring some water. Kaimal said her to wait till he bring tender coconut. The he went and committed suicide. Because the werd given to kaimal, Karthyayani devi desided to stay in Aroor, to bless the whole natives.

Daily 5 poojas done.It is one of the supreme temple which has been installed by Villumangalam Swamikal.
