More than a Palliative Care facility that tries to provide the best nursing care for the elderly, this is a lovely place filled with approachable and caring people. My father passed away five months ago. He was in his late seventies and had been suffering from cardiac issues and kidney disease for a few years. After him being in and out of the hospital a few times, and us struggling to provide the qualified nursing care that he needed constantly, we were at our wits end as a family, with his situation, as he was completely bed-ridden and needing help in every aspect of his life, like a baby. An acquaintance referred me to Kancare and after consulting with my dad’s doctor, we decided to move him there. By then, he’d been in and out of the ICU for almost three weeks, with barely a chance to interact with us (his family) due to the Covid19 related regulations. I’m happy to say that his final days were spent in the company of people who truly took care of him; in a setting that was like a home, rather than a hospital. Kancare has fully qualified and experienced nurses who also have the natural inclination to provide loving care to the elderly; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is going through a similar situation. My internship experience with kancare family was really pleasing. This internship benefited me in a number of ways. Kancare is a beautiful home for the elderly. I am a student and i visited as part of my internship. I am so happy to see the care and service given to everyone. Kancare foundation has a calm and peaceful environment ,which In itself is a boon for the unwell elderly. The premises were clean and i found that the patients are also well taken care of with love and utmost hyigene. Dr.Sarah and her staff are very caring of the patients and their needs and necesseties are taken care of very well. I am a Prosthetist and i happened to visit this center for assessment of an amputee patient. We will never forget the support and care that the doctors, nurses and the staff of Kancare Fondation extended to us in the last days of my uncle Joboy Thomas Varghese in December 2018. My uncle and family are based in Ahmadabad and he was almost brain dead with multiple organ failures after a massive cardiac arrest that happened during a normal visit to Kerala. Kancare arranged all what was required for the family to take care of him after the discharge from the hospital. We were touched by the way Kancare team stood with his family and relatives in his last moments. They didn’t give unrealistic hope or didn’t try to extract money from the helpless family. I had to admit my mother two years back in Kancare due to her deteriorating health, she was also bedridden and was not taking food properly. She was suffering from bed sores also. In the beginning I was doubtful and worried in admitting my mother in a palliative care centre. But the staff and doctors in Kancare were of great help. They provided good care and support, which completely cleared my apprehension. I would also like to express my gratitude towards Dr. Sara and Dr. Manoj and other staffs, especially Sister Lisy.

My mother has been suffering from acute pulmonary edima since the past three years. Recently the condition worsened and I understood that I wouldnt be able take good care of my mother on my own, without the help of proper medical care. This is when I came to know about KANCARE. My MOTHER Late Kunjamma Antony was under the care of Kancare Foundation center from Mid April till she passed away on October 1st 2020.She was admitted after she had a fall end of March and was diagnosed of severe Atrophy related ailments. Dr Sarah was kind enough to get her admitted at this hospital. Proximity to our home added the choice of hospital.But the most important factor off coerce was the care and treatment provided by the hospital.Nursing care provided was of the highest quality and sincerity.They could provide the best of palliative care to our mom. Food provided was of great quality and was served from their heart.They looked after her like their own mother and was very prompt in attending to her medical needs including providing expert advise as and when required.They gave us lot of strength to face the reality throughout our time of test.Even when she passed away, they let her have her most honorable and peaceful end. My father spent 7 days at Kancare foundation. Before that, he spent three weeks at a multi-specialty hospital. During those three weeks, my mother and I were in a constant state of stress and uncertainty. We didnt know what the next day would unfold and what new problem would come our way. But, those last 7 days(my father passed away at Kancare), we both felt a sense of peace, which came through the incredible care provided by the nurses and support staff at Kancare foundation. Not to say that he wasnt given excellent care at the hospital, but the staff at Kancare provided holistic care. They cared for his health, yes, but above all his happiness. That type of care is what you expect from family, and my mother and I felt like we were with family. It is a marvelous thing to experience such peace and care in the middle of such sorrow. It put things in perspective and we could see light at the end of the dark tunnel. Once my father passed, Dr. Sarah and the rest of the staff showed such incredible compassion towards us. We are incredibly grateful for all that they have done for us and wholeheartedly recommend anyone reading that if they have a loved one in need of special and intensive care, that they consider Kancare Foundation and the staff therein as a wonderful source of care and comfort.

Kancare has been a home away from home for my grandpa who is need of extensive professional care. Knowing Dr. Boby personally, she is a highly motivated individual pursuing excellence with nobility. It translates to the services, care and love that the team offers to the residents. I have always seen her and the team talking tenderly to my grandpa addressing him as “acha(dad)” and this has been very assuring and comforting to us. My dad is an octogenarian and due to diabetes and other complications was bed ridden for the past few months. My mom was finding it difficult to manage him at home even though we had the services of a caregiver (who kept changing), I was concerned for her health as well which led me to search for an alternative. After searching and visiting quite a few instituitions, my cousin suggested Kancare. I visited the place and decided to put him up there based on the following:1. Location - its a quite place very near to EMC hospital and near enough for my mother to visit him.2. Premises - excellent facilities, well maintained and clean3. Management and staff - Dr. Sarah is a kind person who patiently heard all our issues and took us into her confidence by explaining how they can assist and the various options available to us. Her staff is also well trained to take care of the patients and are very helpful.4. Patient to staff ratio - it was just nice as it is not over crowded unlike some of the other places I visited ensuring that patients get appropriate care. Also they have a shift in place so that the staff have time to relax and recover from the stress of care giving.5. Billing - transparency in billing matters where all the receipts are provided electronically6. Communication - Both Dr. Sarah and staff are prompt in answering to our messages either through WhatsApp or email. They also created a WhatsApp group for us and regularly post pictures of my dad and other updates which keeps my family apprised of his condition.My father is happy there and is now able to sit in a wheelchair and is starting to gain weight.I would wholeheartedly recommend Kancare and would like to thank Dr. Sarah and her staff for the valuable help and services offered with care and love.

Had recently visited their facility at kalamassery and was taken aback by the atmosphere and surroundings. The facility is located at a calm and quite place with ample open space and a spacious verandah, where inmates can have a relaxed evening .The Care takers are very well mannered and softspoken and take very good care of the patients. Was really impressed with the overall facility .

Home health care in an institutional setting. Good service and amenities. Probably the only of its kind in Ernakulam. Promoted and run by a qualified lady doctor.

Caring staff and experienced doctor. Kancare is a place where the senior citizens would be able to live with dignity.

I Was struggling to get a doctor to visit my home to see my grandfather who is ill and half bedridden and by gods grace I was able to catch hold of can care through net and I was doubtful how their service will be and now By gods grace I m so happy with there service. My aged parents find it annoying and inconvinient to visit hospitals . The long waiting time to get appointments and see a doctor and then the wait for various tests and bill payment is what deters them from visitng a hospital for their periodic necesary checkups. With Can care, all of the above is well taken care off and medicines delivered to them at home with reports reaching us children keep us updated on their health and well being. Apart from the normal routine check ups, they are accessible and welcoming to any intermediatery health issues that require attention. They have well trained and well behaved staff.
