Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology is owned by Government India and Kochi campus is one of the various campus spread across the country. This institution is fully devoted to Skill Development, Technology Support Services, Academic and Research (STAR) in all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Plastics processing, Testing and Quality Assurance.
The course on CAD was ok but there was no placement services as promised initially. Overall do not recommend it.
The site has not been worked well. I expected to achieve a huge data and information on plastics and polymers like creation, usage, further research and the s final safe disposal & if at all, it was to be disposed as fuel, how best can this fuel be utilised to save the environment to remain vibrant. It looks like the centre is working like any other Govt Office - come have tea- then lunch- then high tea- then off and at the month end a good amount of salary and perks in between?
FOOD IS NOT EVEN GOOD FOR NORTH INDIAN PEOPLE , THEY CANT LIVE HERE.I COMPLAINED ABOUT BATHROOMS TWO MONTHS AGO IN MARCH, AND NOW IT IS MAY LAST(31) NOTHING HAPPENED.COMPANIES DONT COME FOR INTERNSHIPS , YOU HAVE TO FIND COMPANIES BY YOURSELF.COLLEGE DOESNT DO PLACEMENT , THEY ALWAYS SAY THAT SEARCH COMPANIES BY YOURSELF.HOW CAN A STUDENT GET A NUMBER OF H.R OF A COMPANY? SOME STUDENTS GOT THE NUMBERS OF H.Rs , BUT THEY SHOUTED WHEN WE CALLED THEM.COLLEGE IMPRESSION ON COMPANIES IS A DIFFERENT THING.
This is one of the first biopolymer institute in Kerala. A unit of CIPET GOVT. OF INDIA, department of chemicals & petrochemicals, Ministry of chemicals and fertilizers
Old building. No hotels and shops nearby.
