It is very cool place to stay. We stayed there for 2 nights and we enjoyed a lot. It is very cozy place, you can stay there as long as without getting bored. Location is vey good and nearby to all the prominent places.

Pretty chill place, rooms are quite comfy and decent location in Fort Kochi. Rooftop has great potential, hopefully will be maintained!

Loved the place and the ambience.It is located a bit interior to the roads, which is being rebuilt now. So have to walk a bit atleast till the roads are done. The rooms and bathrooms are really nice and clean. There are many games like carrom, Jenga etc which can be played. The employees are really helpful. Towels cost 30rs extraThey also help in bike and bicycle rental too

I stayed at Zostel at end if Jan 2021. Very comfortable, neat and safe place to stay. Well maintained. Tourist spots are at very short distance from zostel. I would 110% recommend zostel for stay !

Firstly since it was summer, March 30, 2021. I thought Ill be drained out of energy all the day, but Alan, naijeen and renel made my stay very comfortable and catered to all the requests possible.Zostel was kept clean and its in the prime location of fort kochi. The friends I made there and the memories I carried back is to cherish a lifetime.Thanks Zostel kochi and team.

One of the best places Ive stayed in. The whole ambience of the zostel and warmth of the staff was great. Alan and Abhijit were great hosts and also volunteered to show us around Kochi. Its a place where you can meet other like-minded, friendly and welcoming travellers. I personally had a lot of fun and explored most of Kochi as the zostel is located in a very convenient place. Please make sure to stay at the zostel if you ever visit Kochi because theres nothing else like it!

Place is very cozy. Staff good. Clean and neat. Very far from Ernakulam bus stand and train station. Walkable distance from St. Francis church. Dorms are not that spacious than other zostels. Restaurants nearby are expensive. Dont book if you are in hurry. Book only if you would like to spend more time.

Walkable distance to beach resutaurants and many other shops.You get to meet lot of international and Indian national tourers as well. Wish to come back again. I loved my stay in Zostel, fort kochi. The hosts very friendly and helpful and went a long way on seeing to it that we were comfortable. Its quite close to all the tourist attractions in fort kochi which were beautifully lit due to Christmas season. Its the apt time to stay here and chill. An artsy hippie place to make great friends as well as enjoy a quiet peaceful time.

So when i was arrived the day it was a red alert in the city due to rains. The management is very nice and professional. The beds are so comfortable and neatly maintained a peaceful sleep with a rooftop on the terrace where we could chill with our drinks. Utmost responsible staff in the Zostel to help you out. I miss hot water as there was no sun and solar not working couldnt help. Overall amazing place to stay.

I stayed at zostel kochi for a week as part of my all India bike trip and it was an amazing experience staying there.. the people running the place make sure the vibe is always there and support ,guide you with all your needs. I must mention the location of the zostel is also very close to the beach and other famous spots. I would definitely recommend zostel kochi for a long stay to travellers..

We were a gang of five girls who had come to Kerala for the first time! We were on a budget and yet we wanted to live in a good establishment somewhere in kochi. After countless google searches and asking around we stumbled on zostel, fort kochi. We immediately googled it and loved the ambience and found it very reasonable. We pre booked our stay and were already very excited cause it was gonna be our first backpacking trip! We were a bit skeptical yet excited. From the kochi International Airport it’s a two hour drive we had opted for a local AC bus as our commute.The bus dropped us off 2 mins away from zostel which was great cause we were handful with the bags. First impressions on the zostel were the vibes! You cannot skip out on that emotion. As we entered the establishment , the manager of the zostel was playing the ukulele on the veranda and greeted us with the most welcoming smile. Then he escorted us to the reception where we had to fill in the details. We also met another backpacker Niranjan from mumbai who was a volunteer at zostel kochi.The first thing that caught our attention was the name of the dorm, it was named “pepper” as you know Kerala is known for its amazing spices! Each dormitory had different spices named after it. As we entered the dorm first thing we noticed was the ambience, it was very classic and reminded us of school hostels simple and sober and little bit of colour here and there. There were six bunk beds which was occupied by five of us. The following three days were spent with ease. The dorms are cleaned every day and you can always ask for toiletries and other supplies.The management Eddy and niranjan were fun people to hangout with! In fact we had gone out one night for clubbing in Kerala and they helped us get in the club and even arranged us few complimentary drinks! Niranjan, a fellow mumbaikar and a vagabond helped us to get around the city and even accompanied us to many destinations. The best part was the nights spent at the rooftops with friends and backpackers from around the world. We bonded over beers and food of Kerala. We even made good friends with people who travel around the country, foreigners and heck even the management of the zostel. Overall it was an amazing experience and it ticked all of our backpacking check list. Highly recommended.

Cozy ,chill, vibe✌🏻 the home like place

Great location, great price. We stayed in the 4 bed mixed dormitory - clean, lockers included (bring own padlocks, although they are available from reception for Rs 50 each). Beds are comfortable and have a socket and a reading light attached. The air conditioning is great. Toilet and shower are attached to each dormitory and is fine, although you do need to wait 15 minutes for the hot water. Communal areas are really nice and there was a water cooler that dispensed hot and cold water. Staff are lovely. Great location as well.

Wherever I Go Zostel Is My First Option. You Get To Stay With Random People Mostly Foreigners And Make New Friends. The Amenities Are Less Here From Other Zostels But Its A Pretty Neat Place.

Had an excellent stay. Alan and Nodeesh took proper care of us. They took us all around kochi . Very peaceful and perfect space to have a good vacation with friends. The property is so big,with a superb rooftop. The staff also helped us to plan our days in Kerala.

I have stayed here twice now and it feels like home. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The location is great because its snuck away in a corner from the mainstream crowd. A place you will find like minded open hearted experience hungry souls to mingle with.

It was a decent stay in zostel kochi.I booked a non-AC room by mistake but they provided me the AC room when I asked for it.(I paid extra amount). So anything u need just feel free to ask, the staff is very friendly and cooperative.I met lots of people. It was a 7 night stay so everyday a different roommate, I was getting.Calm and peaceful rooftop with a kitchen having all kinds of utensils, make your meal if you know how to make one.Very clean rooms and living area.It is not hard to reach here. Its very near to the main road.P.S. : I also had the company of Gourav, a zostel volunteer, which made my stay easier and entertaining. It was nice having deep conversations with him.

Located in a quaint lane, Zostel Kochi feels like home. I was in Kochi for 3 days and I travelled to all the places I wanted to visit by foot. Everything is not more than 1-1.5 kms from the hostel.The hosts Alan and Nijeen were very kind and are now friends. They are your go-to folks to get information on what to do, where to eat, renting a bike or a cycle, so basically everything.The Zostel intern Nidheesh was also super great and took us to undiscovered locations and local restaurants.PS: dont forget to ask about Pheobe/Django - Zostel Kochis very own cat when youre at the reception.

Had an excellent stay here last weekend. Amazing hospitality, neat and clean dorms, strict to the rules, pretty cute indoors and great great place to make new friends. Also, have had opportunity to travel to a place hosted by the Zostel Volunteer and he was amazing from taking us to unknown places to clicking great pictures and to having us known to all necessary information. While kochi is a must place to visit, Zostel kochi is recommended placed for stay.

I had a pleasant visit with Zostel Kochi. I had gone here with my friends to attend the Kochi Bienalle and this place was quite close to the main attractions of the art fair.The crowd here is great and friendly, and so is the staff. I forgot the main guys name (who resides in the place itself) who was extremely friendly and helpful. He helps you plan your trip too. The other guy, who leaves by evening was kind of weird with some lowkey hostile vibes. However, overall, the staff is helpful and courteous.If I am ever visiting Fort Kochi again, Ill most probably bunk up in this place since I really enjoyed my stay here.Note: Carry some mosquito repellent as the open areas (terrace) is filled with them.

It is located bang in the centre of Fort Kochi. If you are at Kochin for sightseeing, this is your best bet as all places of architectural/cultural significance are at a walkable distance from here.The hostel itself is spacious and has a lot of common rooms. Books were plenty as well. The staff were very helpful.The Zostel Vibe was there in the place. Thanks to Zostel and the team, had a great time.

Amazingly helpful and nice staff! Thanks a lot. It was also cool that activities were organized.Small downside: the common areas dont appear to me the best ones to hang and meet others, because people/rooms are a bit spread.

It was a great experience to visit zostel kochi. They were very helpful while i was there. The place was very clean, well maintained and anesthetically beautiful. The location of the hostel is near bay with a calm environment in fort kochi. It was a great experience during anam festival when we all together decorate the hostel with flowers.

This hostel was one of the best hostels i have stayed in. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and great ambience. The volunteer Jitender was very helpful and planned activities everyday! He was very friendly and showed us the best places to eat at and took us on his bike to far away places as well. I would recommend this hostel to anybody who is visiting kochi.

This place is really chill, great space to meet other travelers. Everything was clean and the management was great. I traveled in from Goa so my commute was long and tiring. I was glad when I arrived to Zostel and was greeted by Naijeen. Thanks to all of the staff for making my 4 days at Zostel a memorable one. Would highly recommend this Hostel

Weekend at Zostel Kochi..I wanted to visit Zostels Kochi location since quite long... and finally got the time.This place is ideal for solo travellers who just want a place to keep all of their stuff and rest in a comfortable air conditioned room.The culture at Zostel helps you meet new people with different interests.At Zostel Kochi they have a dorm type arrangement. Each dorm contains 4 beds with individual cupboards. All the dorms are air conditioned.Private rooms available for couples.The rooftop is like a common room where you get to interact with other travellers.The place is located right in the heart of Fort Kochi. They provide bicycles on rent, a good option for exploring the area.Youll see a lot of food joints, cafes and cultural sites nearby.The staff is very friendly👍Rooms are well maintained and clean👍And prices are quite reasonable👍

The location is quite away from the airport, so if you have a morning flight to catch it might be a long journey. If you dont, then its a nice place hidden away in the bylanes of Fort Kochi. We were provided with neat linen and a comfortable room with bunk beds. It is ideal for those looking for a comfortable overnight stay under a warm blanket. They didnt have hot water available as they use solar power. The staff was friendly and courteous.

Very hospitable hosts wholl be ready to help you in almost any way possible. Theyve got a beautiful rooftop and a cute fat cat I named tubby. He loves being petted. They lent me their umbrella for almost a whole day. The dorms are neat and clean and the ac works well. If youre into socializing youll probably meet a lot of people from a lot of different places.

The ambiance was great! Everything was clean and I was so comfortable. I love the roof top and day trips that they offer. I will see you guys when I come back in December👌

Great vibe. Very helpful staff. Gaurav who was interning there took the pain to walk me to the ferry point as I was not getting anything early morning and was not sure about the bed. Clean sheets and premises. If you enjoy walking around, go for it, as you will have to walk around from this place to visit points of attraction.

Amazing! 🤩Zostel is the first place that I stayed in India. When I arrived Eddie told me just everything that I wanted to know, and so much about India, Kochi and the places around where you absolutely have to go. And just made me feeling like at home and hanging out with some friends. I also made friends with Sarath who is an amazing person as well - its just so cool to hang out with them, talking, singing, eating... The walls inside Zostel are nicely painted and inspiring for being creative and happy :D And there are also yoga mattresses on the terrass which I loved😍Definitely will come back on new year or so ... Its always feel good vibe to be in zostel. Kochi is not the exception.This time hear we got a much better Host Gourab Pal. He just carry the zostel tradition by being genuinely friendly and dosent make any one feel lonely arround.

From USA.Great hostel. Amazing staff. Good comfy beds and great vibe. I stayed in 1 private room and the dorm the next night. Only dosd side was the roof was closed for renovations and the roof is the only real community area where you can hang out with other travelers. It will be very cool once the roof is finished

Amazing stay and ambience. The staffs were really friendly and they have a lot of well decorated common spaces. The rooms were very clean and maintained well. The only setback is the location from the main streets and the parking (which usually is not very necessary for backpackers )

Zostel love 😍 this place not just offers a typical hostel accommodation. They have a good selection of books to read. Some board games. Plus best part: a computer is available for browsing. Just in case you need to work on something you dont even need to be carrying your laptop around!! How cool.Only drawback is its a bit difficult to locate since Google Maps also has got the route wrong (it doesnt recognise one of the roads that exist). However they have addressed this to the best extent possible by adding sign boards.This is totally value for money. Go for it! Ideal for #SoloWomanTraveller.

Loved the stay here. The staffs really helpful and kind. Take their help in knowing where to visit/eat/roam around in Fort Kochi. The area is clean, bedrooms are clean, neat and odorless. Theres a good chill-out area on the rooftop to hangout. The staff also organised some musical event when we were there, make sure you ask them when youre here.There are a lot of mosquitoes in Kochi, be sure you take some repellents with you. Though, the hostel staff will provide you with some, I prefer you carry your own, since itll be useful for your entire trip.

Well maintained rooms and located in fort Kochi . Its near to most of the major attractions and jetty. Air conditioning is at right proportion. No hot water or may not be working. Sorry that I couldnt recall names but manager and other guy guided me a lot about Kochi.I couldnt see kochi due to constraints. Im pretty sure I would be choosing zostel Kochi when I will go for my next visit.

This zostel is situated in the heart of Fort Kochi and is very well maintained and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and nice, and more than ready to help. This zostel was located very close to most of the Kochi Biennale venues (10-15mins walking distance). The walls of the zostel have some amazing murals and could be an art gallery by itself. If I were to ever visit Kochi again, I would stay at this zostel without a doubt.

Nice location (not noisy at all),clean and with good facilityes (free use washing machine is there)Its not the cheapest place but to spend there a few night at least it worth, we met cool people there, the staff members are so kind and will give you many tips, Alan is allways busy finding nice things to do for guests ask him whathever you want and hell be super happy to help you!
