The wild inside a crowd😻A calm green plot for evenings of busy life, fresh air, birds and the beauty of nature👌Mangalavanam is very nearer to the High court and Marine drive. We can spent time there between 9.00 AM & 5.00 PM.A good population of mangroves makes this Bird sanctuary even more special. But the area is not that much maintained and the paths inside the bird sanctuary are not good to walk.Even though we can enjoy the peace of mind there👌

If you wanna go back to your old times or if you wanna feel fresh air and calm in the middle of city you should visit this place. Cause this place is capable to provide those. Well its opens at 9 am to 5 pm.its close to high court and marine drive. Its a better place to bring young kids and family. If you are nostalgic about your village life you may visit this place. If the authority could take Care of this place it may look more beautiful because its aint have proper path to walk. But I just felt soo relaxed when I visited this place

Situated in the center of Ernakulam town, yet untouched by any of its rhythm. Right time is essential to watch a few birds and I was lucky to spot a few. There is no use to blame anyone if you dont see any birds here its just that you chose a wrong time. Better luck next time.

Situated in the middle of crowded city, it is the smallest bird Sanctuary in Kerala. It is a good place of interest for ornithologists and bird lovers. Also, a good place to relieve the tension of crowded city. The sanctuary is bounded by mangrove forest and a lake. There is a tree house where you can enjoy the beauty of forest. The entry is free, and there is space for parking.

The people around this place has to be more cautious and nature loving. Seminars and work shops has to be conducted with the help of the authority and a lot of tourism related business can be started here like kayaking boating camping etc. The nature has not created a havoc here but the people living around has made this place a junkyard. Anyone visiting this place. Please do take good care. This is the king and lungs of Kochi. It’s a shame from well educated people coming to the High court to park their vehicles around the sanctuary and create disturbance to the natural animal and plant life around. Very shameful.

Beautiful and a peaceful forest with an amazing vibe surrounding the place located in the heart of Kochi where there’s always pollution and noise. Places like these should be very nicely looked after and taken care of since these are very rare things we get to see. For example the tree house was very shaky and old, these things could be fixed and better taken care of. Other than these little issues the place was overall very peaceful and it’s a good spot for family visits. We didn’t get to see any birds, maybe due to season or smth but there were alot of bats. The place was filled with greenery and there were very good quotes on the outside walls. Also guys, watch your steps heh. ☺️

Firstly its not a place to include in your tour if youre planning to cover all the places in one day trip. Its a open bird sanctuary meaning the birds are not in cages and they are free in open. The probability of Spotting birds is less likely.Weve spent almost 30 minutes and I spotted like two bats and thats it.Its a very small place and you can cover it in 15 to 20 minutes hardly. Also during our visit the place is anything but clean and its really messy.

Situated right in the heart of city , the place is also known as the lung of kochi.l and it certainly is. The place is a green area inside the city but it is not well maintained.Although it is called a bird sanctuary u can only find bats and mosquitos as flying beings. There is also a single monkey in place. The worst thing here is the plight of mosquitos. There is a small lake like place with a boat , but the boating is not operational.Magrovees can be seen . There is tree house which is the best thing available here. Around 8 people can visit place at once. It gives a good view from the top. The places enriches your. Bond with nature. Dont ever miss this amazing place if you are visiting Kochi. 18 acres of pristine mangrove forest in the heart of this bustling city - unbelievable! Migratory bird sightings are seasonal so we werent very lucky with that. But the fresh air & greenery really rejuvenates your mind. The wooden watch tower near the main entrance gives you panoramic view of the sanctuary. I was surprised that not many people were aware of the existence of this gem even though its located right behind the imposing Kerala high court building.

Very good.. in the heart of eranakulam...Forests are called lungs of the earth or nature! Forests are one of the most important natural resources that have been gifted to mankind for its sustained existence on earth. Conservation of forests is therefore a necessity that requires to be addressed as a priority. Forests provide us with huge amounts of tangible and intangible benefits, without which human existence would be threatened.Hence, for the survival of human beings, a holistic approach is required to be adopted towards a sustainable way to maintain our forests and meet our needs at the same time so that there is a mutually beneficial co-existence of all.Forests have a major role to play in enhancing the quality of our environment. Trees take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the air thereby helping in keeping the environment healthy and beautiful. Forests influence local and global climate. They conserve soil by preventing rapid runoff of water after heavy rains, thereby reducing soil erosion and minimizing floods. Forests are also vital for increasing our ground water. Because of the thick humus layer, loose soil, and soil-retaining powers of the long roots of trees, forests are vitally important for preserving adequate water supplies.Restrictions need to be put in place to conserve forests. With the alarming rate of deforestation, measures need to be put in place to protect wildlife, the environment, and all the living things that depend on forests for their survival. People need to be educated on the importance of conserving forests, as it will empower them to act appropriately such as planting more trees instead of cutting them.Strict measures need to be made to punish those who violate the set rules. Such measures should be taken to regulate grazing, cutting down of trees, tribal activities, forest fires etc. Forests are vital for human existence and if nothing is done to conserve them all living things are in danger of extinction. So, everyone should conserve forests!
