Even after getting fully vaccinated they are not allowing to enter into the hospital to visit relative who was admitted after the surgery.i dont even know why? Is vaccination a joke? If its like this then there is no need for getting vaccinated in the first place. The doctors might be good but ensure that the counter staffs are courteous.

Had a very good experience with the gynaecology department. Doctor Susan John is the best. Very kind, polite doctor. She dont go for C section unless it is unavoidable. Also have to mention the superb nursing staffs and the paediatricians. Only the bad experience I had that they didnt allow visitors (parents) even if they had RTPCR results. Other than that the procedures were smooth. I got the value for the money I spent.

The Doctors at your hospital maybe good doctors but at least tell your counter staff to be bit more courteous and also respond when someone says thank you for their services. They sit there as if the person who said thank you is from some other planet. I believe the counter staff are the face of the hospital towards the world.

Horrible experience.No transparency at all about the treatment and their only aim is to loot the money from you.If you are planning to use the insurance, make sure that it matches with initial approved treatment and the actual treatment.Otherwise you are in for a surprise and will end up paying full amount without any insurance because the hospital screwed up the insurance procedure.Not recommended at all.

One of the best hospitals in Ernakulam I should say. Well equipped hospital with advanced technology and top notch service. Doctors, nurses and even non medical staffs are very kind as per my experience. When my parents got diagnosed with Covid positive, I could easily find a room for them here and they got best treatment as well. Highly recommended.

The doctors are well experienced and helpful. However, the hospital building is quite old with extensions thats been built over the years. Theres no air conditioning in common areas. The rooms are quite old and not so fancy.

Went for ear piercing of my daughter.. i dont know why they collect total of Rs1880/- (1500 for daycare service, 80 for registration, 300 as consultation fee) we didnt even consult a doctor there. For 10 mins service is it right to collect 1500 as daycare fee? And also they didnt allow us to enter daycare for seeing ear piercing.

EMC is an old-fashioned hospital that has very inefficient processes that do not value patients time. Plan for a day even if you have the smallest of consultations. I would suggest to go here only if you are very particular about consulting a specific doctor. Otherwise, better go somewhere else.

Worst hospital and irresponsible staffs. Their 1st priority goes for money not service. Today(13-05-2021) Ive visited EMC. They are not considered about the patients situation and are misbehaving to the patients whenever they are questioned. We must wait for hours to consult a doctor. The gynecology Dr.Sheela, her service was excellent and too responsible doctor. Apart from doctor the service was worst. The scanning centre doctor is too irresponsible. Worst experience ever...Earlier the hospital service was good but we never expect such a bad experience from EMC

Had a bad experience..had to go there for my 1 year old sons surgery and a follow-up procedure..the first surgery was fine and went smooth..after the surgery, me and my wife stood as bystanders for 1 week..my sister in law filled in for me for couple of days..everything was fine and my son was discharged after 1 week..the next procedure was after a gap of 10 days..we got admitted the day prior to the procedure by afternoon as instructed.They scheduled the procedure at 10, next day morning..they strictly instructed us not to give milk or any food or even water after 4 am in morning..the operation was delayed by more than 1 and half hours as the doctor had not yet come..we were worried as my son hadnt had any food for 8 hours and was looking pale with dry lips and there was no sign of operation or the doctor .we were asking the staff repeatedly about the procedure and when the doctor would come..now to deflect the attention from the matter of doctor being delayed, they started telling that I hadnt taken rt PCR test and I should take it immediately..I had taken antigen tests before both the times being admitted as told by staff..then they started enquiring whether my sister in law who stood as attender after first surgery before 10 days had taken rtpcr or not..she had not been in contact with my son for last 10 days and there was no sane reason for asking about her at that point, leave alone just before the surgery..we had been there for more than a week during first surgery and no question was asked about rtpcr..but for the procedure of my son, on the day of admission, they had no problem..just before the surgery and that too after it had been delayed by almost 2 hours, they were asking about rtpcr test reports..on asking about the doctor, they were giving conflicting answers..after repeated pestering by us, they decided to take my son in for operation although there was no sign of doctor....although it went alright, it left a very bad impression with us..then I took the rtpcr test as told and before the results came we were discharged..People there dont have the basic sense or courtesy to understand when and when not to do/ask something and how to deal with clients waiting for their kids operation transparently..when the staff resort to harassing patients to cover up their mistakes, it definitely points to the inefficiency of the management..

Skippable. Very difficult to get through for followup consultation. The reception staff lacks common sense. We cannot get through to the doctors for follow-up advise or even to check if a visit is needed. We were asked to talk to them on a Whatsapp number which responds in a govt office attitude. Asking to visit them without even considering the Covid scenario only to fleece money shows their insensitive approach.

EMC and its superior physicians and support staff have made many a difficult situation over the past years, comfortable experiences, providing effective treatment and relief. My familys recent experience was also quite similar. EMC provided a hygienic and supportive enviornment for my parents when they visited the hospital recently to get vaccinated. The courteous staff was very patient about responding to doubts asked and allayed any fears regarding the process and after effects. A big thank you to the hospital and staff for making a potentially worrisome situation so pleasant and comfortable.

Fairly good Hospital located on the NH Bypass near Palarivattom Signal. 24 hours emergency services, ambulance etc available. No much parking facilities available; need to depend on pay and park facilities nearby. Waiting time at the Out Patient department is quite long. General Medicine, Orthopaedic and Gynaecology departments are having good doctors.

Time to comment being a visitor for a long time now. 1stly Nursing staff, they makes you Feel so much at home. Brought in a patient with abdomenal pain. All symptoms showed he has a appendizx problem. Having waited for 1 1/2 hrs approx we were told the Dr whom we came to meet is busy, and we need to see a junior guy. After checking with the Liason lady, we were told to wait as the junior is doing a procedure. After a while he came in, we gave the test results of blood. He insists that we need to do a ultra sound and then a CT and urine analysis etc. So when asked why a Ultra and CT together instead of just one? On asking questions, i was asked what my profession was and talked down. Fear mongering is what took place. Doctors r looked upon as godly. A patient requires 80% attitude and 20% medicine for his recovery from whatever ailment it is. But people who are condescending are a blemish to this profession and service to mankind. Attitude of doctors make a difference. Total disappointment!!! Ask questions, a doctor has to answer them politely. Not just lean towards surgery surgery and hospital admission instead of medically managing the issue.Part 2. Where credit is due, that ought to be given as well. The nurses and assistants at the counters were extremely helpful and courteous. Following the above episode, the rest of the processes went without any incidence. The difference in attitide makes a lot of difference. The Urologist deserves a word of appreciation, explaining to the patient calmly and in a manner, where he wasnt overwhelmed in anyway. In fact the doctor went out of the way to save us time by coming to the CT lab himself to check the results and let us know there was nothing to be worried about at all. Final outcome, is a medical management. Dr Sanil (Uro) Thank you. We left at 5pm from the hospital relieved.Thanks to those folks who made our life easier at Casualty. Here also, it is all about attitudes. A positive attitude and gesture to those who deserve it, needs to be appreciated. 🙏🙏

Dear All. I was affected by Covid 19 with breathing problem and admitted to CCU in EMC. I hv now recovered fully by the grace of God and excellent service by Doctors and Nursing staff. Both in CCU and in isolated room I got very much attention from all nursing staff and other staff. My doctor was Dr. Roy sir whose advices, guidance and timely intervention helped me a lot to come out of the critical situation. Dr Roy will patiently hear our problems and requirements. His behaviour with me and my family were very coridal. He wil explain the facts to us. Once again Ij am very much thankful to the hospital management, All Doctors who attended me, nursing staff and , other staff. One hospital in the city with no token system, no time management, pathetic waiting areas and what more, the staff shows no interest to answer a query. Moreover finding a billing area or a pharmacy is like solving a maze problem. If you want to consult a Doctor, its better you influence one staff, else you will end up waiting waiting and waiting.... If you asked to come at 9:00 am, you just need to reach by 11:00 am.You will not miss the old government offices there, the ambience and the attitude of the staff will definitely take you through those nostalgic memories.Last note for those who are working, and still need a consultation, better you should not take a half day leave, mark that as a full day leave.

I want to share my experience with Dr.philip augustine who is gastro in emc.actually I am from Bangalore who came to cochin to consult with this Dr.first of all he is not in consultation but token is given in his name.some of the assistant was there.they did some checkups and ask me to do lot of test which is very expensive I told them I dont want to do all this test first let me see Dr.then he was online came to talk to me.he asked me some questions about my condition I told him according to my knowledge suddenly he started shouting and spoke about my profession. I feel Dr.should be polite nd listen to patents. Dr should not so egoistic....this is what I felt about the Dr.

Great Hospital,but the infrastructure is very very bad.The Director of Gastroenterology is Dr.Philip Augustine who is the very best in his area. Many people visit him daily,he sits in the 10th floor and there is only one working lift which we have to wait a long time to get in and there are no seats for patients and the ones that are there are also broken.The management doesnt even care about making the basic facilities right.

One of the oldest hospitals in ernakulam area which has an experience of more than 30 years.. And the hospital resembles the same time to time expansions and renovations makes sure that the most modern facilities are available for the customers.. But the parking is very very poor.. Also the lift provision is very low.. From 10th floor onwards its centralised AC system.. Wide range of experienced doctors are available here.

Worst experience ever...!! Booked to see the doctor and was asked to arrive before 2 pm. Reached there before 2pm and was asked to wait for 1 hour on the 2nd floor and then for 3.5 hours on the 10th floor where our doctor is.. I cant seem to understand why they cant find a better system that gives importance to the safety and time during this time of pandemic..My father is 59 yrs old and he was stuck with a room full of people for these many hours!4.5 HOURS OF WAITING..! Its absolutely absurd😡😡

Today I visited to meet Dr George (ortho) waited for 1 hour then after completing to 1 nurse didnt reply after a few min other nurse came and said they called then after that I said there no patient with me I am only here to only to update then again she asked me to wait. Then again I said I have go home patient is alone at home and I only have go and provide them food then also they reacted in a irresponsible way and they have no time management that to in hospital at the time of the covid pandemic totally irresponsible.

Waited in the dermatology Dept - J block, 11th floor. They need to do something about the ventilation. There is one fan at the reception area, and it does not help people in the waiting area. All people waiting are left to sweat profusely. 😥🥵😪😓😰

One of the best hospitals in Kerala known for Gynaecology and Pediatrics with excellent doctors and nursing staffs.The situation was really hard for us, as I was suffered with an early labor pain at the starting of my 6th month. I was so hopeless and frustrated during that situation. But the caring and support of doctors and staffs from Gynecology department makes me to feel free and comfort.Our baby was born as a 24 weeks preterm with weight of 762 grams and immature internal organs. That was an unexpected tragic moment in our life.The surviving chance of our baby was below 50 percent. The hard work and dedication of department of Neonatology unit actually give us a new life.After 77 days our baby shifted from NICU to room without any health issues. We extremely thankful to all the doctors, nursing staffs, peon staffs and securities of NICU. They all are so kindful and friendly.You guys are the real heroes.

Its an adjustment hospital. Aarko Vendi Thilakkunna Sambar!! The greatest medicine of all is teaching people how not to need it. Hippocrates said this. When i think about the hospital its not just about doctors. its about all that come along. The canteen here is pathetic in terms of timing. thats one thing you want to give properly your dear ones.If thats proper, half job is done. Nurses are okay.Doctors are good. Very bad management. when my wife was admitted here I had a horrible time here. They made a mistake with food four times. the best part is you get a customary sorry

Such misleading place. Called to see if Dr. Philip Augustine is consulting and they said he was. Drive many miles only to know that he is consulting via video conference..!!Took my diabetic mom to consult him after making a booking in advance. Find out later that there are no token system whatsoever and have been waiting with my kom since last 2 hours..!!When do these things change in here??No covid pandemic precautions taken apart from some usual detail collection at the front entrance. Why cant they reduce the number of OPs by taking booking in advance? Its so crowded in here and no social distance maintenance being done as well.

Doctors here are good but the token/queue management is pathetic.For gastro dept and gen surgery dept i have noticed that more than 50 people are waiting at a time in a small corridor.During covid times,people crowding about can be avoided witha proper token and time management system.And most of the time doctors arrive atleast an hour late which adds to the misery of the patients who are standing there for so long...Management at EMC is very poor now.

One of the worst patient care providers in the industry...My father is still admitted and going through lot of pain..he has undergone knee replacement surgery...Nurses give damn about patient pain......This hospital should be last destination for surgeries....Doctors are good but hospital care is rubbish....Now I can understand why is it declining.....

Clean and neat hospitality

Poor management of OP consultation for pregnant women during covid pandemic. I took my sister for doctor consultation, it is first come first serve basis and there is rush of patients in first hour resulting in most of them having to wait for 3-4 hours. We reached at 9.30am and left at 2pm.If the management had been serious about not spreading infection in waiting area, they would have implemented appointment system. On top of this they serve tea/coffee and people remove masks to consume this. This is height of carelessness.I had both my kids delivered at EMC and was happy with their service, but they seem to be playing with lives of out patients now.

Some of staff in gynic regitration have arrament nature like nammal entho eduthe konde puvane vane Kane pole.... lets have some polite.... we all are coming there for service ... of registration..

Gynaecology dept is good

I have rated it 4 stars earlier, because few doctors are good but hospitalisation in this hospital is pathetic. They are big time fraud. Dont forget to check your discharge bill. They add same costs 3 times, they claim same amount from insurance company and also ask you to pay, by showing it as not allowed. My insurance company has identified many excessive and fake charges (as per MOU) in final bills sent to them.Insurance company has clearly asked them to not collect those fake charges from patient in claim approval but still they were not ready to discharge my baby unless I paid them every penny of their Fake claim.Most of the Rooms and bathrooms are so dirty that you might get some new infections bigger then your original problem. Spotted bunch of flies and lizard too in my babys room.Ultrasound is worst. It has shown the fetus weight of 2 kg, however when they took my baby out by C-section, she was just 1300 gm.Respect for time of patients should be there.. Even if you take an appointment on phone call in a day prior to visit, you still need to wait for 4 hours to see good doctors.Again you need to wait for upto an hour to get your medicines prescribed by doctors. This process needs to be expedited.Medical history should be digitalise and this can save lot of time for patients who are waiting for their files at another doctors to whom they referred and also at pharmacy.There is no transparency in waiting system either, so you dont know if someone coming late might get an early opportunity to see the doctor and you just keep waiting for hours. Token numbers should be given to patients in a proper manner displayed properly outside doctors room, so someone can estimate the wait time for their turn and utilise their time in better manner.Any tests or scans done from other labs are not appreciated by doctors. Packages are not explained to patients properly. You dont get proper information about your insurance coverage etc either from the hospital.Biggest problem here is parking. hospital doesnt have any parking. There is one near the hospital but that gets full very soon. So if you have parked early, its difficult to take your car out. If you are late, you might need to find some road side parking only.You dont find good shops for snacks etc. There is a canteen in hospital but it doesnt look good either and they have very limited options.

Unwanted surgery done by saw a stone in gallbladder... After surgery they failed to show the stone... The patient get pancreatitis issue again... Wrong diagnosis done...

Excellent medical care from the doctors and support staff. Nursing staff are trained to handle the patients with at most care and attention. The hospital has the latest medical facilities and treatment protocols.

My family and I were struck by Covid 19, a couple of members badly !In the midst of the emergency - our closest family members took the timely decision to talk to the team at Ernakulam Medical Center and get us admitted there.Thanks to the care and facilities at the hospital we are now on the path to recovery. As soon as the pregnancy of our child was confirmed, we decided that we would opt for Ernakulam Medical Centre for prenatal care and child-delivery. The choice was instant because of the many favourable reviews we had heard from friends and relatives of their Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and paediatric departments. Must say that we were thoroughly impressed by the service , especially during the pandemic period,and we owe our debt to Dr Lizamma Joseph for all her efforts to ensure care for my wife and our little one despite our concerns and doubts as first time parents in waiting. Our child was delivered on the fifth of November through normal delivery. Post delivery, I couldnt help but appreciate the services of the pediatric department headed by Dr.Ravi. We had regular and routine visits from pediatric team to check up on the little ones health and also to execute the mandatory vaccines and post delivery tests . My wife was finding it difficult to feed the baby post delivery , especially since we were first time parents and have had no prior parenting experience. In this context, must specially mention the attention given by the nurses round-the-clock to help and train my wife on the dos and donts of new born baby handling and feeding.Looking forward to the exemplary service in the years to come , especially since our experience with EMC over the last nine months has reinforced our trust in their service and we look forward to no other place for our childs healthcare needs during the growing up years.

My 3rd C section delivery was done by Dr Lissamma Joseph. Earlier 2 were at a different hospital. The whole process from the time of admission to discharge were excellent. I was given the best medical care ever and so I got discharged on the 4th day itself. Dr Lissamma Joseph, Dr George Varghese and her team members all deserve a great salute. Thank you all for giving us a good, less painful experience ..

The minimum waiting time for a physician is more than 3 hours.Especially during this Covid time and that too after taking prior appointment.Highly disorganized on time management.

Any of the government hospital in the state run efficiently than this ,if you are visiting here , tell your bystander to be ready to run aroundIf you dont have a bistander you are screwed -On the positive sideaffordable rates and a decent canteen is all that I can sayRegarding the skill and experience of doctors and paramedic ,not an expert to rate and reviewAll the customer related stuff need a big time improvement
