This surely is a hidden gem. One wouldn’t make out that this is such a good restaurant from the appearance. Located opposite to the temple this place is great for dosas , coffee and snacks. The seating is spacious and has a decent rest room. Overall we had a good experience . The only drawback is the lack of parking space .

A calm and serene place to have a sunday evening dinner.. near the quiet Ernakulathappan temple gives us a feeling of an old temple city. The hotel too adapts entirely too the atmosphere. I had a very bad experience at Gokul Oottupra Near NH 47. We ordered food for car dine, pay the bill at the counter, and wait inside the car. But they give the parcel for take away. I went to the counter twice and ask them for a dining plate. But they are only giving attention to the people inside luxury vehicles. I honk my car horn a few times but no one was there to help. We can see they constantly visiting big cars and satisfying their needs. We have to eat the food directly from the parcel box. It was a very disappointing experience that they are categorizing people by their vehicles, even if we are paying the same amount for food. 😡😡😡

As the name says they gives you that retro feeling inside the restaurant. A complete veg restaurant which serves you mostly all the south indian dishes and the north indian too. The food tastes good though they cost a bit high. The ambience inside is calm and peaceful. But normally its difficult for you to find a parking space out there unless you are so lucky.

Very nice ambience. The greeny nadumuttam is the main reason that we feel a positive energy inside the restaurant. Food is also very good. South Indian vegetarian items are there in the menu. Went here for breakfast with my family. All the food was excellent and the place clean and the staff friendly. Chatting to the woman owner who explained the different options to us foreigners. Paper dosa are huge and very good and a real novelty for children and adults

My favourite Pure Veg Restaurant in the whole of Kochi!Gokul Ootupura near the Temple is a real cozy place. This place is set in style and simplicity. The staff is very courteous and the food is to the point - delicious.The favourite is Pav Bhaji in the evening. The bun is so perfect and the gravy is super delicious.However, the best thing I have had from Gokul’s is their North Indian Thali - there’s no other restaurant in Kochi that would offer something like this IMHO.Edit : The Butter Roast is delicious and very crispy.Plus, this place is super clean!

Lunch time on weekdays can be crowded. Car parking during day time on weekdays can be a tough proposition. Its a good restaurant, with good food. A family restaurant with great ambiance. They serve you good quality raw materials which is reflected in the taste of food. If you compare this with Brindhavan restaurant, I would rate Brindhavan higher (personal choice). They good a good parking facility also. The staff is courteous and well mannered. The interior is really soothing and as soon as you get inside, you are greeted with a heart warming aroma of a decoction coffee.Overall its a great experience

It is just a average restaurant in the metro city. We will be delighted with the ambience of the restaurant. But, apart than that, every other stuff is just OK. We may not get the menu card on our table without requesting, or could not easily identify what the supplier explain about the available food ( maybe due to his low voice). The food supplied is of average taste, and cant be said as the best in the city or the tastiest one. And we will be surprised by a overpriced bill specially due to the average quality of the food.

Its located quite nearby the temple and is also in the heart of the Ernakulam city.The breakfast is really good for this budget and there is a separate area for the guests complementary breakfast. The area is a bit quite in comparison to the noise in the city so this is the current recommended one for low to medium budget travellers.
