An amazing restaurant to try the local cuisine. Forgot the prawns curry name but was lip smacking along with Kerala parotta. I tried the buffet it’s not meant for vegetarians 😷. Right from starters to dessert everything was great. Loved the ambience of the restaurant and service was great.

For the want of a good lunch we ended up at cassava. We expected a buffet but they had changed to a new menu. It was a kerala sadhya that was being served . We without a hitch ordered 2 sadhyays and my , it was drool worthy. The presentation was top class . They serve sadhya on copper utensils . The serving had prawns, rabbit curry, chicken, beef , fish and what not, everything as much as one could eat . Followed by 2 types of payasam. This place has magnificent ambience. Great dining experience minus the food. Food is good, but nothing spectacular. Arippa in kochi has better food for about 1/3 of the price. Their steamed kappa(cassava) is the best dish..well.. and you will get that for free..

I had been here for lunch with my family, which is on the first floor of the Hotel. Cassava serves authentic food from Kerala. The ambiance of the restaurant is very good & meant for fine dining experience. In the entrance of the restaurant they have kept traditional & old kitchen utensils which were used earlier. A lot to learn from the past, seeing these utensils one can realize that preparing food was not an easy task earlier. The restaurant has unique antique ceiling fans which will definitely amaze everyone.For vegetarians there were few choices! We had gone for Vegetarian Thali that includes Avial, Thoran, Puliserry, Parippu Curry, Sambhar, Rasam, Mezhukkupratti, Kappa Puzhukku, Buttermilk, Kerla Rice, Papadam & Payasam. The overall food was good except Sambhar as it had a strong flavour of turmeric. I especially liked Rasam, Buttermilk & Payasam. In Paysam, the flavour of jaggary was interesting!Overall, I was satisfied, my wish for having authentic Kerala food fulfilled. The staff was good & courteous! Cost wise, the Vegetarian Thali was reasonable!

The dinner was quite good. Since there are live counters inside, the smell of non veg fries are disgusting since am a pure vegetarian. May be the place is not for pure vegetarian ppl.

Excellent Kerala fine dining. The fish Polichattu was excellent as was the vegetable stew. Prices were very reasonable for a 5 star with a meal for two costing around Rs 2500 ( minus the drinks .. )

Excellent Kerala dishes available along with continental options. The serving staff was very professional and well-informed. The celebrity chef at the helm of the establishment, Chef Saji Alex, is very humble. You can choose fresh sea food off the display table and have it prepared as per your liking. The portion size, if you go for a-la-carte, is generous to the point that you may end up feeling embarrassed for not finishing your meal. A must visit if you are staying at Kochi Marriott.

I had a candle light dinner with my fiancee. It was booked just through a phone call and everything was well arranged. Flowers on the tables, candle lights , tables where arranged to make sure our privacy and of course food was superb in taste. Just costed us less than 4000 INR including all dishes that were offered.Really enjoyed a lot even though it was a short time. Especially the guy named Ebin and his team mates were good enough to server us in all better ways that they could.
