It is believed that the Neer (bathed water) of Mata Phoolmati statue installed in the temple enhances the light of the eyes.The temple of Phoolmati Devi, one of the seven daughters of Maharaja Venuchakra, is situated on the Kannauj-Makrandanagar road. Hundreds of devotees visit this temple. Thousands of devotees are seen in special festivals and Navratras.According to elders, despite being the king of the mother Phoolmati, Venuchakra Raja, he did not spend any money from the treasury on himself and his family. He used to raise money by selling feathers made from palm leaves. He was worried about the marriage of his seven daughters because of his own financial condition not being well. Seeing the father worried, the seven sisters Phoolmati Devi, Kshemkali Devi, Singhwahini, Mourari Devi, Govardhani Devi, Sheetla Devi and Tapeshwari Devi went to different places wearing disinterest. Today, grand temples are built at the same places, which are called Siddhapeeth. There is a grand temple of Mata Phoolmati Devi among these Siddhapeeths.
