The amendment act 2002 of the Constitution was added to the 21 (A) of the Constitution which makes it mandatory for state education to be restricted for compulsory education for all children of 6 to 14 years of age. In order to give this right to the practical nature, the Parliament passed the Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009. Which came into effect from 1st April, 2010. There are 7 chapters and 38 sections in this Act. Under this Act, 92 lakh (4.6%) of the 22 million children of 6-14 years of age are unable to attend school, whose education is required for five years of 1.71 lakh crore in five years. Out of which 25 thousand crores of rupees will be given to the states.
