Best experience.... In this case its not about the destination but about the road. Complete road is full of great view and amazing experience. Awesome time..
The road leading to this is a bliss to ride on. The point offers a stunning view of the valley below with a waterfall next to it. If youre visiting this place, please avoid littering as there are many tourists whove left their wrappers, bottles there. Be a responsible citizen and carry the garbage back with you. Dont litter!
Best place to enjoy nature....waterfall ,lake and greenery all around
Khandi, Thokarwadi dam & enroute waterfalls, located about 75 km from Pune. You have to take old Pune-Mumbai highway towards Mumbai and take a right turn from Kanhe Phata, then after crossing the railway gate and travelling about 30 km, you will reach the base village Khandi surrounded by Thokarwadi dam. This place is beautiful surrounded with greenery all around, the scenery of the mountains and back water is so delightful. There are many waterfalls enroute, Bendewadi waterfall, Jagtap waterfall to name the few.
We decided to visit the place after monsoon which was perfect choice, all were lush green, white water streams through lush green mountains, pure air & perfect weather to roam. We did went too much inside from this point with enjoying nature and kids enjoy water streams and nature. It way better than going to mall or movie, take your time out and enjoy with nature.
If you love nature, waterfall and love mountains. this is the best place to visit during rainy season. Its a beautiful to go on ride on your bike.
Stellar panoramic views from the top with greenery all around. Straight out of a movie ending.A perfect spot to gaze at the clouds passing through at eye level.Just a matter of minutes and youll even find yourself amidst the heavenly fog! Also, the roads leading to this point is nothing short of exceptional.A must visit in monsoons.
Went with family members in car from Pune. Enjoyed sightseeing, birding and long drive of about 80+km total. I saw Indian roller, Siberian stonechat M/F which were in my Bucket List besides Pied bush chat M/F & Long tailed shrike. Surprised to see India rollers on complete stretch from Kanhe Phata to Khadi point. We know mansoon is the best season to visit to see Waterfall with greenery but wanted to see the Karjat area view from the Kandi Point. Overall returned back with good memories & reduction in Birds in the Bucket List
Superb place!!!! Best place to visit in monsoon!!! A lot of clouds playing wid us on land..... Small water streams running wid us!!! Superb view of the village besides the valley!!!!
Unexplored place near Pune with unexception nature beauty. Awesome place to visit. Calm, pleasant, peaceful ambience
Very good place to visit in Rainy season. Nice view, calm place, fresh air.👍
Excellent place during rainfalls. Must visit in June July August. Endless waterfalls limed up for up close visits.
Best place for bike ride and peace
I would say its a average place and a small area. Only you can see little deeper valley but we do have many places around Pune which provides good view. However the road till View point is absolutely scenic. Three star for the road and one star for this view point. No Eateries no Tapris are there.Carry food an water. In evening it could be unsafe.
Good
Always love to be at this place specially during the monsoon. This visit of mine was once again with my Royal Enfield Riding Club Kings Royal Riders from Pune. It was mildly drizzling accompanied with fog, lush greenery and countless waterfalls that could be seen from the roads on our way too Khandi. A must visit place during monsoon and from the Khandi Point one gets to see the Kokan view too.
You will find good Waterfall before around 3kms on left side if you are coming from pune
Recently due to Covid-19 this place is totally closed for all visitors. In normal days it is very good spot. You must visit if you are from Pune.
Wonderful place to visit in rainy season... Roads are in good condition, moreover the journey is scenic... River on one side and green hills with plenty of waterfalls on other side. Majority of those waterfalls are easily accessible and at walkable distance from road.
Worth visiting in monsoon not much crowd. Definitely a place you can relax
Scenic view point.
City run away placeMetal peace and energetic surrounding
Amazing view point to neral, karjal and Matheran
One of my Cycling Group Maval Athletics Association arranged Maval Parikrama, This Century Ride was full of Uphill and downhill beautiful Nature Waterfalls Rain Wind n Fog, lush green and full of natural beauty. Just You n Mother Earth
Its nice but not that much worth, if you are going to see only this spot.
Nice point...must be beautiful during the monsoon. You get a panoramic view of the Kokan from the top.
If you are planning for weekend getaway from city and enjoy some waterfalls and picturesque view this is the place for you. The journey itself is quite mesmerizing and as you reach Khandi point, you can enjoy a valley view and see the konkan region. On the way you will come across multiple waterfalls and you can enjoy any one you like. Overall a great place for weekend trip.
Totally village area, no shops are available inside. good place to visit, one small dam in road side itself, make sure u are going In the early morning, road is very narrow 2 vehicle can pass eachother very precisely, chances for heavy block is high.
A table land at highest point from where you can see the surface with tiny objects...Recommended to go during rainy season..... To see the clouds touching hills and rain and sun at same time...Rare to see people near by 15kms so go with group....No food and water nearby so take it with you....
Beautiful place, so many waterfall in surrounding area
Been there yesterday #Awesome weather rains on the way lot of waterfalls #Thokarwadi dam # Nice place to visit in Rainy season #Enjoyed lot with friends 🤘
Hundreds of small and big waterfalls throughout the journey. The road is good.Stop at Khandi, park your vehicles, order tasty food before you visit the waterfall which is 5 mins walk.Popat Pingale makes awesome veg /non-veg food at 200/250 rupees per person. Also check a different route, take right from checkpost and enjoy the scenic windmills.A must visit place if you dont want traffic stalls of Sinhgad, Lonawala and other famous places.
Awsome Place
Khandi is located to the north of Pune, which is around 35 kms from Kanhe phata. The place is beautiful and has greenery all around, the scenery of the mountains is so delightful with dense forests. You can reach the base village Khandi, which is surrounded by Thokarwadi dam.The backwaters of the Thokarwadi dam has numerous waterfalls to the side and the road is such that we have mountain on the left side and the backwaters of the dam on the right. The road conditions are average with occasional potholes. The whole journey is surrounded by the hills, trees, windmill on one side and the other side is the backwater. Not many villages, no pollution, no traffic. Less food stalls are available, so better carry your own supplies. It is totally worth visiting this place which has great waterfalls and eternity pool, and then the water flows over the rolling steps which make this place photogenic. #LetsGuide #selfiespot #rainydays

Great place for short trip from pune
Best place to visit in monsoonRoads are very good
Amazing place I had explored with my friends.. Would like to visit again and again ❤️ 🤽🌊🏞️
Scenic place to visit during monsoon. Lots of waterfalls, only problem in the narrow road.
First of all the khandi point does not have a waterfall, its a birds eye view of the the valley and village below. Its really awesome during and post monsoon. You can see around 10-12 waterfalls from kanhe phata till this point. Its the last point. No hotels close by this point. Its very windy over here.
Awesome as it can get. A must visit during monsoon.
Awesome place.Beware of local ppl ,they are the worst too handle
Less crowded. Good for oneday return from pune. No restaurants near by few km.Many waterfalls on the way. Visit in Monsoon season.

Very nice view from this point. Theres a stream next to this which flows down to a waterfall. 1.5 hr drive from pune. Green scenery in the monsoon season.
Awesome place
Extremely beautiful place. Very peaceful. Must visit during monsoon only else no waterfall can be seen.
Nice place to go for picnic with family in monsoon and in winter season.
Such a nice place
1st up... please carry your trash back home as it is prestine and clean. The point is Secluded. But follow google maps. Its accurate. When driving there, go from the northern side of the lake. The road is perfect. The road around the south side is pretty broken.
Lush green carpet
Very nice and awesome place in maval area. This waterfall is last water fall in this area. This waterfall is near to khane phata near about 29 KM from khane phakta. I attached images here this is august 2018 updated images. Khandi point and and this waterfall is different this waterfall is next to khandi point.
It was simply beautiful
View is amazing
Awesome nature to refresh your mind.
Most beautiful unexplored places near lonavla
We went there on 25th Oct considering the reviews of google. But we were totally disappointed to found just a barren land with a view point.... Offering an average view in this time of the year. This place might be awesome during monsoon but not now. So please avoid going there now. Road was average.
Partly smooth partly rugged Terrain food give you a nice bike ride track to cruise through the mountains
Must visit place in monsoon season. You will see how beautiful nature is. You will love the ride and place as well.
Best place to enjoy
Nice view. But no petrol pump on road ..no other facilities on point
Cave and waterfall... beautiful scenery...just go when there is rain .
