Good place to earn knowledge

I was the student of this college. I completed my course last year and working in Accenture now. In the last five years our college received NAAC Accreditation and NBA Accreditation. last year our college received Autonomous status from UGC. only 50 out of 550 colleges in Tamil Nadu received Autonomous. Our college is deserved for 5 Star Rating.

Iam pursuing 3rd year in SRMVEC. And in this pandemic, some of our clg students are affected by covid and even though management forced us to attend offline classes. I dont know the reason behind this. Iam totally disappointed with this. Even students requested many times but management doesnt even care about that. And fake results as covid negative have been given for students who tested in SRM hospital. Very worst management ever. Doesnt even care about students. They tried to hide the covid cases in college. But otherwise college is good. But they will not support for students. Many of them gave positive reviews because this college is located inside SRM campus. Think twice before joining this college.EDIT AFTER MANAGEMENT REPLY :-Yes, you took some actions for covid positive case like testing only for the students who are there in that particular class(Not for all).I accept. But did you give proper evidence of negative result of students? You just informed that all are negative. And the hostel thing.. you charged the whole amount of 50k for just 2 to 3 months of staying. Students who cant afford that obviously they want to stay outside right? No other options. Taking covid test will not going to help us. Students may get negative result at that time but in one or two days he may get positive right? Many cases we have seen like that. Other colleges are taking precautions that if a student affected by covid entire college is closed.**My question is that why you are forcing to attend offline class even after covid started spreading among students???**Yes you said you can also take leave but attendance is not provided. This is like indirectly you are telling that you must attend the offline classes.AND THE MAIN THING : PLACEMENT cell is worst in this college. They said 5k for placement and another 5k for programming course (java or python). Even i said i had completed couse with certificate outside institute ,they forced me to pay 5k otherwise they will not allow me for placement. Totally 10k for placement . That course is just for 1 and half week (RS.5000 IS TOO MUCH) . And in our precious college, core companies not even come here for placement. Only IT companies (not top companies) will come. There is no any other option for ECE MECH EEE OR CIVIL. They must attend only IT company for placement. Then I dont know why we have ECE MECH EEE AND CIVIL departments in SRM VALLIAMMAI ENGINEERING COLLEGE. If we rise the qstn why.. They said that Most of the students are not clearing the interviews in core companies so we dont call that companies... They can predict future i think. They decided that students cant..My only advice is:**THERE ARE LOT OF COLLEGES IN CHENNAI THAT PROVIDES BETTER PLACEMENT WITH CHOICES.**NOTE : I DONT HAVE ANY PERSONAL PROBLEMS WITH SRM VEC. EVEN I LIKED THIS COLLEGE IN MY 1ST AND 2ND YEARS.. BUT AFTER THIS INCIDENT I AM HEART BROKEN REALLY..**PLEASE HEAR THE QUERIES OF STUDENTS TOO**

Lovely CollegeInfrastructure overall beautiful because of SRM Campusthis college Affiliated to anna university and Group of SRM University is plus point of the collegethe only negative is they didnt give fake internal marks, so u have to study well and get internal mark your own. Dress code is semi casual or full formals(exam times) and about the staffs they are all very educated and experienced staff in every department.Overall Good college and i am one of the student

Overall good college to study.You can enjoy only after entering into the second year.Have good infrastructure and the campus itself in SRM university.All staffs are well qualified. Here anna university norms are strictly followed by management.Internal marks are only trouble you face in this college because they put only what you score in the internals but it is helpful for university exam.Placements are not upto the mark but good for IT and CS students.

It is one of the branch of SRM UNIVERSITY, atmosphere is good and good teaching staffs limited sports ⚽🏀🏈⚾but main preference is given to ball badminton and court is maintained well, canteen is good, I have been studied there for4 years as a mechanical engineering, good environment, lots of students placed when I was studying there eg. TCS, ACCENTURE, WIPRO, MAHENDRA MOTORS, and some other small companies. Hostel is good, but food is not good. Overall, its a nice place to explore knowledge and to enjoy well.

Infrastructure*: what should I tell with this.The best thing that should going around is infrastructure and campus environment.eco-friendly and care free environment.the campus has large built - up area.the labs are well equipped and classes were good and clean and tidy.the perfect atmosphere in love with this college is campus environment and its biggest hype for srm group of institutions and all college buses are well equipped and air conditioned.Faculty: All faculties are from prestigious institutions.they are well professional and highly qualified and well trained educationalists.EIE department is one of the best. Management encourages students to bring out their best both in theory and practical. They organise lots of seminars and conferences and make us understand all the current developments.

When I joined in college, I came with many dreams but now my dreams are totally destroyed.....worst management lot of useless rules.... Worst principal they dont know what is engineering..... In management moto is they want change theyre clg in autonomous because then only they collect lot of moneyI pay 4 Lakh donation to join this college because only the name of SRM ...guys dont join this clg.
