A nice place to relax after a super hectic trek. Got a room with 3 beds. Cosy room with Geyser, Extra blankets, a table, cupboard and 2 chairs. A perfect mountain view from outside the room.2 major drawbacks are:Its very far from the bhavan, have to climb another set of very steep stairs to reach the room.Only one washroom for room with space for minimum 6 people.

How I will book my room in gouri bhawan

Spacious room with everything you need to relax after hectic journey. Clean bathroom, adequate no. of blankets, room heater, giezer for hot water in bathroom, 2 chairs. You cant expect much more!Beautiful scenic views from the balcony.The only drawback is that its situated at a steep height, little far from the bhawan. So it becomes slightly difficult to climb up and down again and again.

We booked this room at jammu airport at 900 INR. It was like hut with most of the necessary items like room heater, water hearter, 3 blanket, big room and bathroom. It has very good view of Vashno maa bhawan. But I would recommend to look for other bhawan if you are there while hiking. This bhawan is situated above all bhawan so you have to walk more say another 800 metre. But if you are there through helicopter than this would be good place to stay. For hikers we would recommend Monokamna bhawan, Monokamna bhawan phase 2, kalika bhawan, and others. Online booking is there so would suggest to book atleast 1 month ahead through shrin board website.

Booked a room online on vaishno devi official website. Reasonable rates. They will give you access to the room with blankets, extra blankets (usually kept in the almirah), towels, soaps, geyser in working condition, RO water, chair, table, extra pair of bed mattress, pillows, room heater, cleaned restrooms, lock for your room, not a shared for sure!They have drinking water machine (hot, cold, normal water) built just outside the gauri bhawan complex. Just about 10-20 minutes walk (steps and otherwise) from here till the main bhawan. Or 10-12 minutes till the main shopping area for Prasad, basic amenities, few restaurants. So good to stay here and relax to experience divine power of the goddess!! :)You will be able to hear Aarti sound while seated in your room. Its that close! :) In the night you mah feel little cold, for that blankets are provided.Extra towels were kept in the almirah but unfortunately they were used. So we got them exchanges which is not a big issue as long as you are getting it upon request.From sanji chatt - a half an hour walk, can be accompanied by ponies, pithus, horses, even prams available for kids now.

At Katra every place is good but Gauri Bhawan is Awasome....

Beware that you will have to climb approximately 1 kilometres uphill from Bhawan opposite sagar Ratna which is very steep and hard to stay here. Rest is fine

Maa Vaishno Devi shrine board has done some great work in ensuring the convenience of pilgrims to the holy place. New walkers only route of Tarakote Marg is beautiful and pleasantly neat and clean. Though longer by 3 km due to lesser inclines, it is highly recommended. Facilities at the bhavan have significantly improved but a lot more needs to be done to manage the crowd.

Main bhawan for stay

Somewhat good place to be in Vaishno Devi. The only complaints I have are for hygiene. The place has a lot of bugs and weird insects which I understand are because of occasional rainfalls and mountain ranges. Other than that all facilities are good and can be enjoyed fully when you have a positive mindset. JAI MATA DI

Satisfactory place to stay because at night it is too cold and to cope up with cold, it is the best place to stay warm under blanket, get freshenup. The prime important thing is that temple is only 1 km from here so you are hereby only, second, just in few steps you will get food to eat. So overall it can be rated 3 star. Climat is always cold during night from Apr - July whereas Aug - Jan its cold during day time.

Need to work on cleanliness of bed sheets and blankets etc. But considering the population visiting here, still a very well maintained place to take some rest!!!!!!!We were denied for a room initially but again considering we had few females with us they agreed to provide us 8 beds @120 rs/bed.Best option would be to get the rooms booked prior to your journey from the shrines official website.You have to check out of the rooms around 10 in the morning.

Location is very bad. It is about 2km from bhawan. No food facility available nearby. No service available. Water from filter outside room. Room Heater not heating very well. Water heater is good for small amount of water. Blankets are available.

Gauri bhawan is the best place in India. Where you can see the best mountain view as well as grace the blessings of mata rani. This place is famous for mata ji temple. We need to go there in fresh mood. We need to taboo nonveg food minimum before one month to go there. We need to be clean and pure veg to go there. If we will go to get blessings of mata ji with pure heart 💓. I am pretty sure that your all wish will come true. You can enjoy view of mountains along with the Katra city from topp of the mountains. Location is very near the hotel. Place is clean and tidy. The area is prone to alot of cuts in electricity connection and AC is not powered by generators and AC rooms are not naturally ventilated

The bedrooms are above par when compared to nearby bhawans has 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom options too which make it more diverse. Only problem is that it is very far away from the bhawan and a lot of stairs are there in the way. Thats not it the stairs are shorter way to reach there

Lovely accommodation in very low price

This is apt for people travelling in groups of more than 4 as this is the only place that provides 4 bedded rooms.However , this is a 1 km uphill trekking from the Bhavan.So save some energy if you wish to reach this place. Rooms qualitys n amnesties provided are exceptionally good.Room heaters, geysers, TV with set top box service and abundant number of new balnkets, extra mattresses and very spacious clean rooms.

Clean and decent rooms at a very reasonable price. Every room has a TV that shows live Arti during morning and evening time. The bathrooms have geysers. Some stuff like the cupboard and drawers in the room might seem very old and shabby but one is too tired to even look at them. This is a full fledged hotel, except for the fact that it doesnt serve food or even tea. Beware of monkeys around the area, monkey gangs can rush through the corridors anytime and steal your food or drinks. Better keep your doors bolted if you dont want uninvited apes in your room. Overall a very decent place that is close to the Bhawan, merely a 15 minute walk.

Trekked 28 kms in 10 hours and felt really good when walked naked in the rain when temperature was just near 0 deg Celsius. The place is filled with lots of positivity and I always feel good
