Great and beautiful temple with nice history. It is just 25 minutes from Katra and I recommend it to everyone who visits Katra. If you can take out time then you can have a bath in the small stream next to temple too. You cannot take a dip in the beautiful waterfall which is shown in the pictures as its not allowed

This place is hidden beauty in the lap of hills .its wonderful place to enjoy with ur kids n familyTheres a beautiful waterfall which shallow to deep in the middle .Its got about 250 stairs to reach the mandir n then waterfall

1. motorable Road upto the stairs and parking is small but sufficient for normal rush.2. scenic road and fresh air.3. there are close to 200 comfortable stairs leading to temple.4. most of the pathway is covered with shed like mata vaishno track, hence safe from sun n rain5. temple is neat and clean6. reach early else the rush from pilgrims increases manifold by afternoon7. a sparkling clean stream flows nearby, so carry a change to take a dip there8. washrooms are average plus, hence can be used as changing rooms9. monkey menace is tremendous, so do not carry anything dangling loosely else they wil snatch and go10. keep mobiles n purse in person and not in bags to avoid snatching n loss11. a closed secure area is available next to temple for having food or bhandara where monkeys cant enter12. tea maggi and light snacks available next to temple but carry your own food13. river stream is good clean n cold but keep eye on rising water level during rains to avoid being washed away

I love that place its awesome by nature but there is 100+ stayers and there is no wheelchair assembly and I enjoy lots of here....

Great place to visit. 1.5hrs from Jammu. Located in the middle of the forests and you can also enjoy the water stream.

The Place is named after Baba Dhansar Ji and is still run by the heirs from the same blood line with 700 years of devotion by each generation.The magnificent waterfall is harvest of the 12 years long and progressive worship of Lord Shiva by Dhansar ji.The Legend is that, Lord Shiva after being impressed by the Dhansar Ji’s arduous veneration, gifted Him powers to eliminate an evil spirit who was cannibal.The most amazing and jaw-dropping facts are that, waterfall has no evident source (glacier or reservoir), also it runs throughout the year and last one, the water turns warm during winters and cold during summer time.P.S : it’s a religious place and no diving is allowed due to sacred reasons.May be that’s why it is serene and pristine till date 😄

Baba Dhansar Temple is very beautiful and oldest temple in Jammu

If youre going to vaishnav devi pr visiting katra.. then this must be a go to place in your bucket list! You can hire a cab for 1500rs max for katra and can visit many locations in that valley. Ive been recently there like two weeks ago and weve a day left idle. So rather being in the hotel room we decided to explore more in katra and found these places! Ill add more places in my profile to visit in katra! it was worth going there. Holy place

Baba dansar is a historical place...weather was awesome and about lake it was very good for tracking and picnic and darshan for baba shiv ji

It is a Lovely places to visit. There were a lot of monkeys. And a small river flowing nearby where u can bath. The priest was good to us.

Wonderful place! The pujari ji was very nice to us, he took time to explain the place, and even offered us the tea he had made for himself.

Great family outing place with a holy touch to it. Best place to visit is summers as well as winters. Place consists of Lord Shivas Cave, a beautiful POND, a spring and a small spring basin. u cant find accommodation nearby but for your hunger everything is taken care of, you will find decent amount of small cafeterias and restaurants. Nearest place is KATRA from where you will find private transports like auto, taxi to reach here.

Baba Dhansar is a historical place, we visited this place when we were going to Shiv Khori from Katra.Its one of the holy place near katra. Its located near Karua lake and around 12 km from Katra. From there, you step downhill in around 200 steps.The entire walk is peaceful with much greenary around.Must visit this place if you are going to Vaishno Devi, Katra.

Out of the many holy places near Katra exists the place of Baba Dhansar. It is located near the Karua Lake near the village Karua, around 15 kilometers towards Katra from Reasi. From there you step downhill in around 100 steps.The entire walk is peaceful with much greenery around. In fact, the expectations keep rising further as you progress ahead. The entire scenery is dotted with a number of waterfalls that ultimately join the Banganga River.It is a cool and much appreciated picnic spot. The highlight(s) are, the greenish blue pond and a huge spring gushing out of the mountain side in thick tree groves forming a number of small cascading waterfalls converging into the Holy rivulet.Near this rivulet, is a naturally formed Shivalingam on top of which milky water droplets fall continuously throughout the year. All this is natural and one wonders how this was made possible.

Best place to visit near Vaishno Devi, Katra. Place is located in Riasi district. Very beautiful and hidden with small holly waterfall and Crystal clear rever and small Shiva cave.Place is 1 Km away from main road. I suggest to take private transpo or book taxi from Katra.You have to climb down some steps to reach cave and Temple. White water river is just behind the cave. Water flows from under the cave is amazing. It is not allow to to get in to the waterfall. So many sculptures kept near temple.In Shiva cave you can find Shiva, Parvati, Ganesh, Kartikeya, 5 Pandavas, Shesh naag and Damaru as well.

One of its kind oldest lord shiva natural pond and cave. Best place for family tour

Devotees should also visit this place it has a sacred waterfall a place for the sheshnag of Lord Shiva, thus the temple is dedicated to Lord shiva and it is believed that when Lord shiva went to tell the story of immortality of him to Goddess Parvati he left his sheshnag in anatnag.The water here is of sky and dark blue colours which is chilled and crystal clear, followers of Shiva and one who visits Maa Vaishno Dhaam should make a day visit to this place, the surrounding are just eye catching and so serene.

A must visit hidden place , very beautiful small water fall. An ancient Naag temple, where it is believed the Naag comes out of the holy cave on auspicious Nagpanchami occasion to give darshan as told by the locals.

Its quite a nice temple. Has a small waterfall in the premises and also its close to the river. Its really peaceful and one can spent quite some time sitting in peace and also do some meditation. The mandir has its own historic importance and is not very far from karta. especially that the water keeping falling on the shivling makes its unique. And u feel quite happy after you complete the mandir Darshan.

Very few people know about this and very few few people visit this very old religious place...this god is known to be the son of Vasuki naag....the snake around lord..the temple exist for more than 700 years old and the care is taken by one family of pundits who have been there for generations...Once u visit there u get to knw interesting story of the temple and the stones..as shown in my pics
