Badly suffering with lack of Maintenance.However facilities are available but due to poor maintenance and ignorance of railway station management maximum facilities are not in the working condition.If you are travelling first time, please ignore Auto drivers. They are available in platform also. Will irritate you.Travelled through katni station on 14.12.2019. observations are;1) Waiting room - AC waiting rooms are available but AC is not working. No staff available to check that the valid passengers are entering or not.2) Washroom - common washroom in the waiting room without proper door. (3/5)3) Platform - Not proper clean.4) Display boards- yes station have enough working display boards.5) Car parking - yes huge car parking space is available with platform no. 1.With nominal charges.6) Ticket Booking and reservation counters- yes both are available at platform no. 1.

Even 1 star is sooo much...very under developed station.. Railways should focus on this as it is a junction! The statioons ticket counter does not contain a single chair for passengers..all the passengers be it anyone has to either go inside the station for waiting room or sit on the floor in ticket counter....come with your own risk and time management...I request raiilways to pay attention to this and solve the issues regarding chair atleast

RO water facility..Lift... vehicle car for patient and senior citizen and many more. Improvement in waiting room wash room.Prepaid auto booth should be there as there are 4stations in Katni .. passenger has to travel from one to another to change their train for their break journey.

Katni junction(KTE) is one of the main junction station in Madhya Pradesh with 6 platforms. It is a big station. But as it is a main junction, it is always crowded, and waiting rooms are not spacious enough to accommodate this crowd. Railways could do better with this.

My hometown katni, station is in pretty better shape and continuously improving. Although there can be better facilities such as escalators, wheel chair access.Cleanliness has drastically improved in past 5 years.Parking area is not fully developed and those auto wala always crowd the outer space which is literally horrible experience for anyone.

My visit to Katni happened via two of its three railway stations on the same day. I alighted from Katni South but returned to Jabalpur via Katni Main Railway station. My associate quickly purchased a general ticket for travel. I cruised through the narrow walkway towards platform no. 5 where my train had arrived. The cleanliness on platforms was above average, the staircase that led to the foot over-bridge were steeper than usual but the steel railings helped me pull myself. I reached the platform no. 5 on time with the help of indicative signs.A five star rating would require1. upgrading general cleanliness and hygiene.2. adding automatic escalators3. reducing the height of each of the steps from platform no. 1 to the foot over-bridge.
