Great staff, great food and great service at this iconic cafe. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. There’s not a huge menu but the food is hot, tasty and freshly prepared. You can also get a good selection of souvenirs too.
Called today for first time, nice and clean establishment. Nice n friendly staff. Ordered a sausage sandwich and a bacon sandwich 🥪. Thought the sausage wasnt very good, bit mushy and very tasteless. The bacon was well done which we asked for but didnt taste like good quality, and very little in it. Overall 👍
Sids Cafe. Well what too say great places for a wonder round around town. Stopped to have a coffee at the famous place, should have done better and not order anything as you all know that I like my coffee.and I would not go too this place for COFFEE. just take a picture and move On.
Just had to visit this nostalgic cafe from the famous TV series .Theres outdoor seating/tables in front of the cafe & outdoor area round the back which I didnt see as sitting inside where the famous characters had been was the only option for me during my 1st ever visit to Holmfirth. With about 6 tables inside ,the cafe was busy ,theres good choice of drink& food options on the menu along with Sids cafe souvenirs (these are situated under your table top glass to view,) with orders taken at your table by very welcoming & pleasant staff, who even kindly offered to take our photo together which was a very nice touch indeed .The mug of tea ,cappuccino coffee along with a Scone, clotted cream & jam to share were very nice.We chose a Sids cafe tea towel & couple of pen souvenirs to remember the occasion,Payment can be made by cash or card (just wonder what Compo,Foggy & Cleggy would of thought about that 😀)
Was a big fan of the series and decided to take my family to the the Cafe for a nostalgic trip down memory Lane. To be honest we found the food average and nothing to write home about, when we first walked in it wasn’t very welcoming from any of the staff. The staff looked very gloomy! Anyhow, was my aim to visit SIDS. Would I go back? Not really as the staff need to improve their customer service skills.
Used in a comedy series, it was great to actually visit. Warm and welcoming and the staff were pleasant and well mannered. Prices seemed slightly higg however in a tourist area thats to be expected. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Best Yorkshire tea with a cake. Sid cafe is set out the way in the TV series. Little side steps at the side. Take you the back of the cafe into the tea garden.
Tasty food. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Called in for a cup of coffee after a long journey, very welcoming and happy to chat. I would recommend if you are visiting Holmfirth. Sids cafe is famous from Last of the summer wine
Friendly staff. Professional. Affordable and varied menu options. Lovely to see the famous cafe being run as a cafe still and lovingly cared for too. Will return one day for sure. Many thanks indeed xx

Asked one of the staff about where one of the locations was in Last of the Summer Wine. She said Ive never watched it and dont know nothing about it.
Great staff really pleasant and charming would definitely recommend also great value for money
Great soup and scone with cream
If you have watched last of the summer wine then youll know Sids cafe. Non pretentious, its a cafe in the traditional sense. Great selection of teas, coffees and cakes all at a reasonable price. The bus seen in the photo takes you on a guided trip of the various locations that last of the summer wine was filmed. Catch it just by Sids. Both well worth a visit.

A bit of nostalgia but kept well.Food and drink great.Recommended
Sids Cafe in Holmfirth is the one used in Last of the Summer Wine and is just the same apart from the counter us in a different position. The colour scheme and the green and white checked curtains are there as well. Just had a cheese toastie and a latte and they were very good. The only downside is the seating felt a bit cramped. There is a good selection of Summer Wine articles for sale ( Pinnys, fridge magnets, key rings, local postcards and prints ect.)
Very slow service.
Lovely little cafe with very pleasant staff. The sausage & egg on toast that I had was great.
Friendly staff. Food and tea were decent. COVID measures are strictly implemented - hand sanitiser by the entrance, all staff with visor on, contact info taken for tracing purpose, distancing rules enforced and tables / chairs cleaned between customers.
OK for snacks and drinks but needs to do a full English breakfast
Good service and food
Brilliantly nostalgic without being twee. Great food at reasonable prices. It could so easily over charge just because its the last of the summer wine cafe but it doesnt. It trades on the fact that its a great cafe, that just so happens to have been a set for the TV show. A must visit place if youre in Holmfirth.
Great experience
Very summer wine
A great little cafe, doing all they can with covid-19 precautions. Excellent safety.
Soup was lovely
Many TV memories 😅
Extremely pleased with our visit. Hardly been anywhere with family over recent months because of work commitments and Covid-19 related issues. This cafe is very well managed by very polite staff. We sat outside and where attended to efficiently hy staff who wore the appropriate PPE while serving and observed to keep all areas very clean indeed.I thank them not only for providing lovely food and drinks, but also for following mandatory regulations and providing that safe, relaxing retreat. Full Marks. Kind regards to you all.
Great fruit cake.lovely
