The Temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and also has various other deities. The Temple was built by Maharaja Pratap Singh who also built the Raghunath temple in Jammu. The deities of both temples are very similar in appearance and also the architecture is same giving the impression that it was built on the same lines as the latter. The temple due to greedy and irresolute management has lost its grandeur and the temple property encroached deceitfully by the traders and shopkeepers in cooperation with the management. Once a marvel of architecture it needs transparent management board which can develop it and encourage the people to visit this historic temple. The craftsmanship is testified by the sculptures on the entrance and the beautiful carving on the entrance. Must visit place.
