A 2 story bar with a small dance floor but quite an ambiance...you can have good time pass here. If you like loud music just go and have fun. But dj is good.

Good place to chill out

Decent place to spend some good time in Kathmandu...though a bit tough to find in a small lane inside a lane, the welcoming by guard at entrance is a saving grace...Not a very happening or crowded one...but with simple and cozy settings... drinks are okish and food is 3/5...if you want some private time with your partner, then this is an apt place...seating is in rustic style on the first floor and in modern style on the second floor...of course the better choice is to pick the rustic settings...Of the staff, only the captain is friendly and the remaining staff is mostly commercial oriented...so if you are at the 50 percent+ consumption of your order and do not intend to extend the order, the staff wont even bother of your existence...at the same time, when you place your order, keep reminding them about it every 5 minutes, otherwise it will not be delivered in full...My recommendation - go to this place if you have lots of time at hand, want to have cozy settings and are not bothered by service levels...

Always a great time. The waiters and bartenders provide amazing service. The DJ spins hits all night.

I used to like this place a lot with my now wife. We used to come here to talk and for the food. Recently on our visit we were surprised that you have to really get the waiters attentionto give order, you cannot get water as you specially have to give order for a Rs.150 bottle of water. The service has really gone down hill and will consider NOT returning here ever again. I am sure there are a 100 more restaurants like this will better service

Buddha bar is perfect place to be if yoy are cocktail lover as well as you can find different variety of nepali beer as well as different imported whisky. In addition they serve different kind of sisha like mind double apple pan masala as well as mixed. Its cool to be here as it serve from early morning from 8 - 12pm. Regarding snaacks and food its good as well but mostly for hanging out drinks is best.

The ambience here is like no other! The drinks are carefully crafted and they’ve got all kinds of drinks. Loved their unique bull frog and has so much fun ended up buying their branded “Buddha Bar- Kathmandu” T-shirts. They’re really cool.The staff are friendly and if you have time, some have good stories to tell!

Best place to be around

Good music. Great ambience. Good food (Corn fries are one of my favorite here). Very friendly staffs and the serving time is decent. A bit too crowded for my taste but thats to be expected on a Friday.

Great place for the weekend. Crowd is happening and staff is extremely courteous. They have two levels and a proper seating area where you can sit if you wanna eat some food.

Location is bit inside the themal and when I first visit this place bit worried and feel like small but when I ordered drinks and foods I just love this place so much.. here I found good music with mouthwatering food and also I love vibes people created. I got to know later from my friends that in this place most of the foreigner came and enjoyed whole night.People called it happie party

Service great, ambience superb...but then please add up your bills properly...we have had issues with overcharging thrice already! Next time, we dont think we would want to go to a place where we need to use a calculator after a fun night coz they had the bill messed up!

Great place to go on a weekend. Its a very old place and has been there for ever but still popular amongst the locals and tourists. Gets very crowded on friday nights. The place normally plays popular music. They have 2 floors for seating and a small dance floor on the first floor. They also serve sheesha.

I love this place. This place has place to Lounge, hookah, Mustang coffee and food thats comforting. The music is also pretty awesome from a wide range of decades. The food is pretty good especially the fries. The drinks were decent and tasty. The lighting is appropriate for the setting and there was more than enough room for five to six people to enjoy lounging around. you can buy the shirt however they dont have all sizes it has two eyes in the front and the word Buddha Bar in the back.

One of the best lounge bar in Katmandu. We friends searching for good pubs and lounge bar in the town and in internet and sadly this was not even in the top ten.. a great place if you love clubbing.. at par with bars when it comes to pricing..

Well, this place is one of a kind. The ambiance here is unique. Its cozy warm and comfortable place. The music has one of the best playlist in whole thamel. From chilling music in the evenings and popular club musics in the night. Most important, The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Talk with the bartender when you feel lonely or chat with the fantastic owner they always appreciate your comments too.

Suraj Bista was our server and he was amazing. We got drinks on the house which was awesome. The music was really good and there was a extremely good vibe. I really recommend this bar.

This place hasnt changed a bit. The service is the same, the interiors are same and so is the chill ambience.I love their chicken and potatoe items and the Chinese chopsuey was a pleasant discovery too.My only request is that : do not dilute my drinks once people start swarming in 🙊🙏

One of the oldest bar in town with amazing music and ample of foods to offer with..light are pretty dim here so every table has one candle..serving sisha is a plus

Good cozy place to hang out with friends or watch football. There is no parking as expected since it is Thamel area which is a downside for those who travel with cars. However there is a paid parking at entrance of Thamel which is only 6 minutes walk from the bar.The food is good and prices are fair for the location. I did not like that the washroom for gents is a floor below which is very inconvenient when you are drunk. The stairs are also not that drunk-friendly 😂All in all, I would recommend going there at least once and try if you like the place yourself.

Awsome hangout in Thamel. The old place is preserved really well, and the excellent staff make sure that you get a good experience consistently. A perfect place to be when youre not really in the mood to go clubbing, and just want to spend some time chilling and drinking.
