I loved the ambience inside of the restaurant, the staffs were friendly and if you are a first timer for Japanese food, they would suggest you the food as well. Had tried California Roll๐ฅข, basically comes with vegetables, crabstick, mayonnaise and rice wrapped (if I am not wrong ๐ค) and was very tasty. Yum yum๐ Suggest all to try it and the place I visited was in Durbarmarg, they also have some other outlets as well.
Authentic japanese food in kathmandu valley with very friendly staffs.
One of my favorite restaurant in town. Love the cold chicken, cold udon noodle, Gyoza and almost everything from their menu.
A Gem on the streets of Durbarg Bargh, even though you couldnt compare them to a authentic japanese eatery the do serve wonderful food here.
I tried their Bento, which is not quite satisfactory. The shrimp is not fresh. The chicken is cold. The soup they not serve with bowl cover which Japanese restaurant always does so it gets cold very fast.Price is acceptable but NPR 600 for a not so fresh and a bit cold lunch isnโt that worth.Good location, it is just next to Annapurna Hotel. 2nd floor is tables and chairs setting while 3rd floor is Tatami (mat) setting.Service is not very good. I was waiting for few minutes at the entrance while all the staff( including a waiter) in the semi-open kitchen spot me but they just donโt come to serve.
A taste of Katsu curry was perfect. Exactly same as in Japan
Good quality food
Place to be if you like Japanese cuisine.
Good food, but service was slow.
Definitely one of the consistently good Japanese cuisine in town. Green tea ice cream is a must.
Koto is one of the oldest Japanese food establishments in the country and since its inception it has been able to maintain its standards like clockwork. Truly the best Japanese food restaurant available and it definitely cares about what it serves because customers will get to taste the same greatness that they did on their first visit in other words consistency is their strongest suit. Very polite attendants and the price rightly suits the value they communicate to their customers. Makes anyone keep coming back for more.
Love the food but ambience is not too happening
Loved the hospitality but most of the menus are sugary sweet, not favorable for us.. We seek for some spicy or calm tasting menus
Prawn tempura is nice
4 because of service and 0 for food taste and price
The only reason I will go back to Koto again is because the food is really tasty and delicious. The food presentation is very basic and the service sucks...They even asked us if we would like to sit at another table after having been at that table for a while as some other Patrons wanted to sit by the window, where we were seated.
Good food, good service. Thanx
Great Japanese restaurant (perhaps the only really good one in Kathmandu). Good food, friendly service, great premises. On the pricey side but definitely worth the food :D
Too much extra charges
Its marvelous, better than ever
Different than other
Nice hospitality n Good food... Love to go again n again...
If you want Japanese quisine, dont go here! This has nothing to to with Sushi, Tempura or Japanese food. The vegetable tempura were boiled peppers, the salmon was not fresh, as they tried to cover up with raw onions. I should have left from the start, the toilet wasnt clean and before the dishes came we saw a cockroach on the wall. To top it of they didnt even apologise or try to make it up in any other way. A disgrace!
Good Japanese food with options for Vegetarians.
The food is decent. Priced relatively on the really high side, an average meal is about 600Rs after tax and service charges. The service is adequate and nice. I reccomend the noodle soups over donburi. I would describe it as just OK.
I didnt like this and very very overpriced.
Looking to the picture. It feels like I wanna go several times. I wanna say just one thing there food are so tasty.
The best japanese food in Ktm delivering constantly for the last 10 plus year
Good service... nice lunch time
I loved the way they served. Hospitality of the place draws me more to there.
Good place. Wow
- great food- nice service
Good service and good food. Although a little pricey you are bound to have a good time.
The best place to have japanese food in Kathmandu
Great ambience and authentic Japanese cuisine!
Sushi is great. Nothing else is worth trying
My favourite spot for sushi. Love it man. I am hungry thinking about it.
A painting of Japanese samurais greets diners before they enter the dining room. An open kitchen lines the side of the restaurant, while wooden tables and chairs fill up the rest of the restaurant space in a quintessentially, orderly, Japanese fashion. Floor seating is also available at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant offers an array of appetisers and light bites such as yakitori, tofu or sushi. The maki sushi came with generous slices of smoked salmon and crunchy cucumbers. Packed in authentic Japanese rice, the maki sushi was a delicious, but slightly heavy appetiser for two.
After 45 minutes i am still waiting for my food. How hard is it to make one California roll?!
Perfect for me and my family.
Excellent Japanese Food
Loved everything on their menu
Very small serving for Goma-ae.
Great food. I like it
One of the few places to find decent Japanese food in Kathmandu
They dont know how to treat guest.Really mannerless, waste of time, energy & money.
Taste Japanese food
Good food , good service ..
Nice Japanese food! Price is slightly high
Tried Japanese for the first time over here but the the experience was good enough to come again for more yum cuisines.

Best Japanese food in Nepal.
Sushi good
Good
Authentic Japanese food
It would be best to remove the mentality that whatever is given in the name of Japanese food is removed. Having lived in Japan for some time, I went there to taste Japanese food. When I look at the food, the hospitality, the hospitality, and the hospitality, I cant compare it to a normal Nepali restaurant, but its definitely not Japanese. I think 3/5 should be given.
When I stay in Kathmandu for work, I really want to eat Japanese food, but here, you can have food and drink in the same atmosphere as a Japanese izakaya. The meat is a little bit sticky overall, but there is nothing wrong with the amount I receive in Nepal. Accounting is also clear, so we recommend that you try it once (^^โช
3: 00-6: 00 pm is not open
Kathmandu has many consecutive nights, so I go to a Japanese restaurant once. I ate sukiyaki at a Japanese restaurant. It was a little light but delicious.
Very low quality sushi and very expensive price. It did not look like fresh fish and the shape of the sushi somewhat different from the original. The service was very good, I arrived just when the kitchen was going to close (9:30 pm) and they treated me very kindly.
You can eat sukiyaki in Kathmandu. It was okay to eat it with raw eggs!
You should be careful because pointing chopsticks to rice is something you cannot do in Japan.
Cooking is slow
