Fantastic place, great views and super friendly staff - the food was A+ will def visit again!

Restaurant is on the roof top with stunning view of Boudha Stupa. Restaurant is small and seats are limited.This place is known to serve one of the best Ramens in Kathmandu.Price of Ramens range from (NRs.) ~350 to ~900. Besides Ramens, they also serve BAOs, coffees, etc.Ramens are worth trying. They are good. I highly recommend trying BAOs. They are super good.Ramens and BAOs are non-veg here. Some of them can be requested to be made veg.

If you are in Boudha, and want to try new and delicious food, Cafe luma is a perfect place. Just 3 min walk from boudhanath stupa, and you see cafe luma in the top floor. Talking about food, the best there is gua bao, the buns are soft and crispy meat, perfect combo. It was raining so we decided to try hot and sour noodles. Damn the soup was so flavourful 😍. You can enjoy with your friends and family. Clear view of boudhanath stupa. Just beautiful. Youll sure love the view. Ambience is really good, I personally think, more comfortable chairs and tables need to added. Foods are slightly expensive but worth it. Staffs were very welcoming and friendly. Do give a visit guyss. Highly recommended 👌. Enjoy the pictures

Nice place good food a little expensive but nice place.

Came for the pork buns, which were over salted. The place itself is nice and small, and the view is good but the glass panels werr very dirty which kind of ruined the atmosphere. They messed up my drink order as well, other than that the food was average, not so great in experience.

This place has a great view of Bouddha Nath Stupa from their rooftop. They have a decent variety of food on their menu. Their Bao combo of four was the stand out meal of the menu. The ambience is also decent. The main downside of the restaurant is their price, everything seems approximately 25% more expensive than it should be. Plus they add 10% service charge in their bill. And they dont have parking option. A decent visit for one time when you vist Bouddha.

The place lies near the Boudhanath Temple and offers an iconic view of the monument along with the surrounding hills.The place is quite small inside, but the rooftop is decently spacious and has a good vibe going on.The service was a bit slow but the people were really hospitable and friendly.We had Hot and Sour Noodles, it had a good taste and the soup was delicious, would rate it 4/5; Gua Bao was something new and it was a delight to eat 3/5. Fire Wings as the name suggests, we expected it to be super hot, but it was mildly spiced, taste was decent 3/5. Drinks are good here.10% Service Charge is also added, which is not mentioned in the menu.Overall a good place to have some food and great time with your friends and family.

The place is really good and classic. I loved the view of Boudha Stupa from the terrace.The hot and sour noodles here is 🔥. It was so good and tasted really authentic.The gaobao is also very good. The pork tastes very good with the peanut.The spicy chicken was awesome. It had the right amount of spices and tasted just perfect.One thing I didnt like about this place was the drinks. The lemonds was blant and the ice cubes werent clean.

The menu is limited but comes with great super tasty foods. The prices are quite reasonable and affordable. Its a cool place to hangout from where you can see a nice view of Boudhanath Stupa. 4/5 on ambience and the staff are pretty friendly. Overall good service.

Food is excellent the ambiance is quite good too but the thing is we ordered something and some toppings were missing they said the ingredients aren’t available right now but the food was priced the same I wish they could look into it but I’d recommend this place for sure

Food was okay. The bao bun and the hot and sour were good. Others such as the Korean fried chicken, chicken chilly wings had a sort of smell that I did not like. French fries had too much oil in it. The service however was swift and prompt. The place itself is small. There is ample outdoor seating but indoors its limited. The restroom for men and women are the same. The place does not have parking of its own. Youve got to find your own one can be found in the parking lot of bota restaurant. I would only recommend trying the soups and bao bun.

This place is one of the best of u want to have a good food and chill relaxed vibe.1.Make sure u try hot and sour soup and momo.2.I wont recommend Mustang aloo. Its average in taste.3. Hukka is pretty nice.4. Services and staff are the best. I love the happy face ready to serve u.5. Price is average. Each dishes ranges from 300-600 max. So I love it.

The food at luma was amazing! We had the b.o.b (basket of bao) and every single one was so tasty! We also ordered the tantanmen ramen and it was by far one of the best ramen dishes I have had in Nepal. The customer service was also really nice, and the views of Boudha were phenomenal. The rooftop setting also added a lot to the vibe, definitely recommend !

Had really bad experience with the service staffs. Even didnot get enough spoons and forks for 10 people. When asked for bill they just came and placed bill over the table. That was very rude

The kitchen reeked as I proceeded to use the bathroom once, not the usual smell of a restaurant kitchen.Walked into Luma restaurant with high hopes on a rainy Thursday evening with a few friends to try the bao buns and ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice and Tantanmen Ramen as the weather was calling. The bao buns were average to my liking; the pork inside the bun was so small, it literally tasted of peanuts and sweet sauce. The chicken bao buns were better with the spicy sauce that complimented the dish.Bao Buns - 3/5One of my friends ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice and his review was disappointing. Upon tasting the dish, I found that it was dry and tasted bland, nothing like a regular kimchi fried rice. The dish looked and tasted really simple, that you could literally replicate it at home.Kimchi Fried Rice - 2/5Moving onto the Tantanmen Ramen, it was a pretty sad experience. Although the looks of the dish was appealing, the taste of it was utterly disappointing. The broth? Thick, oily and slightly bitter. The noodles? thick and bland. The soft-boiled eggs were cold by the time it arrived to the table. The minced meat looked like someone took a huge dump on the side and it tasted cold and awful. The worst thing on that dish for me was the bokchoy (vegetables)... I have never been served uncut bokchoy in my life but that was a first for me. By the way, the seaweed wrap was missing in the dish.Tantanmen Ramen - 1/5With the restaurant being promoted by a popular food vlogger in Nepal, I was hoping for a good experience. I really loved the idea of the asian fusion. You go there for great food and a calm ambience.I would highly recomend ordering Hot and Sour Noodles and Bao.

Well.. my girlfriends favourite place.. what can i say? UwU

I remember going to luma when it was still in the small shop , and now that theyve expanded to the new building , the quality had degraded so much. A couple weeks back , my friend had the gao bao and his stomach was upset. The day before yesterday when I had the same thing , I got food poisoning (really bad one). The fried chicken which we had ordered was burnt, but when we told the waitress about it she just gave us an excuse and that was about it. Sad to say this , but the quality has degraded.

Went there to eat gua bao weeks ago the staff told us to wait as the gua bao was not ready and they told us that it will take about 1 hr. So we ordered other dishes and waited. But still the bao buns were not served so we again asked the staff how much more time will it take, but it seemed that they havent even prepared the dish yet. The male staff again told us that it will take 30 mins more but the female staff insisted that it will take 1 hr more. So we left. Again we went there yesterday to have gua bao but they told us that it was not available. So we ordered buff chilly as we saw many good reviews about it but the dish was VERY different from the picture that we saw in the food pages on Instagram. Really disappointing!

Our first time here and it was a wonderful experience. All the staff from the hostess who greeted us and the guy who brought our Mustang coffee ( mixed with alcohol) server were very friendly and chatty. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu items and recommended the kimchi rice.The food was tasty and delicately balanced in flavor. we had a truly wonderful experience.

The service was slow. Almost took like an hour for two dish to come. Overall the taste was good.
