Absolutely beautiful and clean Beach surrounded by mountains and islands. It also has play area for kids separately. Very big parking place, which is very near to Beach. It has good restaurant also where you can get snacks, lunch and dinner along with hot drinks, cold drinks and juices. You can also enjoy sea biking, having feel of sea in motorboat and even parachute gliding with assistance. It has only one parachute available and one sea bike. Rent is 200 Rs per person for 5 minutes ride.

Natural beauty, kashmir of Karnataka

Visited this beach earlier this week, a short walk from my hotel (Citrus) in Karwar. Very clean and was sparsely populated, probably because it was a weekday morning - just a few people on their morning walk. If you are interested in bird life like I am, there are quite a few waders and other waterbirds to be seen here. There is a restaurant and a shop selling the produce of N. Kanara region. Other attractions are a childrens playarea and the INS Chapal ship which has been converted into a museum of sorts - 15-20 mins is adequate to see all that needs to be seen on the ship. The garden near the ship is beautifully maintained. A bust of Rabindranath Tagore is installed here. When he was in his twenties, he apparently stayed with his brother who was the district judge of Karwar at that time, and is said to have written his first play here. The hills, islands and coconut trees make this an idyllic spot. You can also catch sight of ships leaving port from here. Great place to spend time with family.
