Very poor customer service; they will put you on hold and then cut you off without even getting back to you. I genuinely believe they financially exploit people because they keep charging outrageous amounts. Just leave if you dont want to be swindled. Each time you call each staff member will tell you something different to keep your direct debit up.
The customer service can hardly be any worse.I spent more than 1.5 hrs with them on the phone today and I achieved literally nothing.Unbelievable waste of time, and I still have to keep calling them to solve my issue, as their written support, which Ive tried twice in the last 2 months, is inexistent.
Do NOT get your electrical provided by SSE. I know people love to complain and I try to be a reasonable customer but honestly SSE has been appalling to work with. They have had an inaccurate estimate for our electrical for months and I’ve called at least 10 times to dispute the claim only to have our bill go up £200 literally over night. Avoid working with them at all costs.

Been on hold for an hour and twenty mins and transferred three times.All this to just to tell them i have moved into a property that they supply.Definitely will not continue with this company.

The worst company ever, over charging/ giving you a wrong reading. Spark Energy & SSE are the worst. Avoid this company if you dont want stress. They put you on holds for hours, different advisors telling you different things, most of them doesnt even know what they are saying or doing. Absolutely rubbish 🗑, if I could give them a zero instead of one would be perfect to be honest.
4 months after Smart meters installed. Still not registered to my account unable to prosess a final payment. Useless customer service. House selling in a couple weeks and this could hold everything up. Would give a 0 if I could.

Impossible to contact. Call waiting takes more than half an hour just to transfer to a different team to keep waiting. No reply to emails. Wrongly billed and no way of contacting.
Go away you cant just take what you want and I will pay what I want not what you think

Had a boiler servicing contract which I was happy with but when I went to cancel it, I found out that i was tied in to a reoccurring contract because they were sending it to an old email address even though I had changed my details on my main account twice. Had to pay £50 exit fee so I took my Gas & Electric business elsewhere. Poor customer service
If l could give them _100 l would. I moved property and prior to this l called them and explained l was on pay as you go. I was told to let know once l moved because l had credit in the meter. I called them and was promised l would receive a refund. This was in May time. Nothing came through. I rang and the same promise. Today is 2nd of October, l rang them only to be told that she couldnt locate my account and was going to let me speak to someone who would help. 1hr the phone is ringing and no one is answering. Such appalling standards. I am gutted and unhappy at these lot.
