Kamp Velebit is a beautiful camp that makes feel you home. Youre surrounded of mountains and good vibes. The owner are very welcoming. They have tiny Crobbit (Hobbit) houses, beautiful tends and enough space for parking with your van. If you want to relax in middle of nature this is a perfect place for you. Perfect spot between the mountains, away from the too busy coast.

Very nice camping for caravan, albeit quite small (which suited us). Furnished comunal kitchen. In the first half of June almost empty, lot of room, no lights (so great view of the stars!!), absolutely pieceful and quiet. The restrooms and shower however can be improved. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for three days and two nights, booked royal canvas yarrow (glamping). Lets be honest, there is nothing glam about this camping when it comes to accomodation - but it is awesome. The views, the nature, the trails - that is where the glam is :)Accomodation is pretty basic, but comfy, there is plenty of room for parking, it has a nice kitchen and a few places to light a campfire if you want. It is kid friendly, pet friendly...just friendly. The dogs are super friendly also.The hosts were amazing, we forgot our coffee and they gave us some, they were very helpful and kind. We had a little bug accident in our tent (unwanted visitor, nature has its not-so-benign creatures) and they helped us, gave us a dfferent accomodation for the night and offered a discount (we declined since really, they cannot control the nature).We will come back :)

Very unique camping in the beautiful surroundings of Velebit mountains. Chill atmosphere, friendly owner, very nice campfire to enjoy in the evenings.Showers are old and work badly: water poorly comes off and constantly changes from cold to hot.

Top chill place in the mountains. If you are tired of boiling on the sun come here for few nights. Its a bit colder during nights inhere. People wont be a problem since there are spots in the woods where you can camp almost alone or just pull hamac between trees.Hosts are nice and friendly. Kitchen and bathroom are things to improve but its not dirty so what more u need? You will love this special place!

The glamping tent was great. Plenty of space inside. Service was good, we got extra blankets because the nights were very cold. The toilet facilities were pore. You had to keep the shower up with your hand and the water became hot when someone flushed the toilet, which was quite often. The sinks were continuously wet, and I was surprised no-one dried it, after use. The kitchen was nice, but standing inside you couldnt keep distance from others. Owner was friendly and told us the paths we could hike in the area.Nearby was recommended a cheese shop, where they sold good cheeses and tasteful yoghurts

Absolutely lovely place to stay for a few days! The owner has put a lot of effort into the details, there are actual little hobbit huts to sleep in, a big common area to cook and a fireplace to meet. Everything in a nice festival style. Definitely recommend to go there. There are plenty of hikes and mountain bike tours around!

Place has warm feeling and is run by the super kind and great people. Small and cosy houses are great and sleeping in them was experience by it selfe.

This is one of the most unique campsites Ive ever been to! Theyve got more of a glamping setup going on here but there are hobbit houses and such, It was so refreshing to see from your typical campsite in Croatia. Basic facilities, more than enough to satisfy. Very close to the trails. Owners were super friendly. Thanks!

Great informal campsite with very friendly and helpful owners. Good base for hiking. Nice campers kitchen. Unfortunately there was a kids camp on while we were there, which meant it wasnt as much of a tranquil experience as we hoped, and the bathrooms werent in as clean a condition as they would normally have been. Double check that no kids camp is on before arriving and you will have a wonderful stay.

The owners are the problem...They are very rude, they stole our things and put them to the trash, I really don’t recommend to anyone to stay here... the place is good but the owners are so so so terrible

Camped here last summer with my son on our Croatian tour. Have nothing but good things to say about the place. Owner very friendly (and speaks English which was great for us), the location at altitude with easy access to the coast/Karlobag, the lush green grass and the tranquility. One particularly good memory for us was listening to the music in the bathrooms while getting ready in the morning. Great memories.

Small, tiny camp site. Host is very friendly and helps with tours. Toilets and showers are ok, but not new anymore. Perfect place to start a tour in the mountains, but not much more available around. We’ll definitely come back.

A very cozy camp site for your own tent or caravan (no predefined spots; stand where you like), cute hobbit houses and some glamping tents.The place is clean, mostly quiet and not too crowded. The accommodation also provides all needed cooking materials, a fridge, a fireplace, bbq and an open cottage to relax in the shade.All staff were very friendly.The area has a couple of hikes and the restaurants nearby are quite good.We decided to stay for two and a half weeks.

Basic amenities but lots of space and the nature is amazing! No ceremony, youre left to do as you want while respecting your fellow campers, exactly as it should be.

Nice friendly staff, the hobbit houses for rent look really cute, the camping area in the Nomad area is well shaded with mature trees and unmarked pitches - so feels like proper camping, nice views of the nearby karst mountain, you cannot walk to a shop or bar as the road doesnt have a sidewalk. very peaceful, you cannot hear the road - except for the big trucks. Toilets/showers are old, but work well, and are clean.

Beautiful camp! Very friendly owner who is willing to help with any questions. The scenery around the camp is absolutely stunning. There’s a nice 2,5 hour hike starting directly from the place with amazing views. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Karlobag to have a refreshing swim after a hike. There are bus schedules at the campsite for Karlobag and Gospice.At night it gets really cold and humid (because it’s located on a higher altitude) so do bring warm clothes or an extra sleeping bag. Also, the closest supermarket is a few kilometers away so bring enough food along. There’s a drinking water place at the campsite, as well as a kitchen and two fridges.We stayed at Kamp Velebit for two nights and we really enjoyed our time here! (Especially the night sky, which we have not seen as beautiful before.)

Very nice campsite with a hobbit theme! Clean toilets/showers. The owner is definitely a nice and Friendly guy. Arrived pretty late and just done the check in the next morning. Reasonable price (180 Kuna for 2 person, tent and car). There is a big Pavillion with wooden tables and chairs and even a hammock. You can have a BBQ, use the kitchen and there is a place for bonfires. If you are looking for a campsite in this area definitely choose this one!

Very quiet campsite in the Velebit mountains at 25 min of the sea by car. Very friendly owners & also quite cheap in comparison with other camps.Theres a recent climbing site Filipov Kuk @ 25 min walking that is also reachable by car.Love of nature and sharing is the word, mutual kitchen and foodsharing at hand.

The camp is really nice, an oasis of peace and nature on the mountains, close to the sea.We found this place by chance, looking for a camping on our way from Montenegro to Italy.As soon as we found on the internet site that they also have the Hobbit Houses we decided to test them, instead the tent.And it whorth a lot! THe small houses are really nice and confortable, even if at night the temperature poutside is below 15° C inside you can sleep very well.The owners are a really friendly family, taking care of the camping and guests.There are common area where you can eat, the kitchen is free so you can cook your meals, the toilets are really clean, with hot water. And everywhere you breath a very healty and peaceful air. Also the guests and their dogs are nice!If you come by tent there are some places in the shadows.We paid 35€/day for one of the small houses (Dodola).We will come back for sure, and we would suggest to all our friends with children.If you like hiking/bike there are a lot of paths, instead if you prefer the seaside in 20 min you are on the seaside, driving on a panoramic and very good road. THe city close to the camping, Carlopago, is average, and you can eat with reasonable prices, and easily find a beach for your swimming/tanning.Thank you Kamp Velebit!

Very nice quiet campsite. Good value for money. Simple, clean sanitary facilities, unfortunately bad water pressure in the showers, otherwise 5 stars. Equipped kitchen that can be used. Super friendly and helpful operator. Hikes in the mountains possible from the campsite.

Back to nature, no shop, no bread in the morning, but a nice restaurant a km away, where you can relax in the mountains.

Very cool campsite. Great environment. Amazing sea view when you drive up the hot street. Operator very hard-working and super personable.

The atmosphere in the camp is great. The children enjoy the campfire. Crobit houses are a great idea. The only thing that needs to change is the bathroom. The water is a little hot and then icy, it changes every now and then. There are no shelves next to the sinks to store things, and everything around the sink is wet.

Sleep in houses dug into the ground, or tents, practice yoga in the air, nature surrounded by real forest, if you want to go down to the sea in karlobag in 30 minutes, or if you want hiking on Velebit trails you can start from there immediately, peace, clean air and guaranteed clearing the brain of city crowds and heat and stress👍

Brilliant place! We really enjoyed sleeping here. Extremely good company and kind welcome. It is worth bringing warm stuff, because remember, the weather can get very cold this evening.

Sleeping in the Hobitt-house is a wonderful experience, the hosts are kind, the toilets are tidy, and the children enjoy baking hot dogs and marshmallow cookies on the campfire in the early evening. Hiking, the sea, horses, an excellent cheese factory - everything is nearby.

It has great potential in development

Kamp Velebit, a beautiful natural campsite without great comfort. The road at the campsite is sometimes busy, but quiet at night. The sanitary area is a bit dingy. A little more attention by the operator would do well here. In general, one rests a little on the otherwise well-intentioned reviews. The area is very nice for hiking, climbing and MTB biking.

Nice campsite in the middle of mountain nature. There is a kitchen, fireplace, covered terrace. Just showers would really need renovation. The price was quite good for Croatia, we paid per night in a tent, 2 people and dogs 18 €.

Very nice starting point for hikes in Velebit. Fantastic panorama. The campsite is quietly located at the entrance to the village and offers ample shade thanks to numerous trees. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean and tidy. WLAN free of charge. Electricity and water are available.The hosts are very nice and answer all questions and also give tips for hiking in the area.
