They have cut trees and built mandap. what a pity. Trash and garbage, no maintenance. No clean washrooms and drinking water. Small eating places outside, car parking available, ATM.

Built some 2-3 centuries ago, this temple was built to be so tall that one could see Pune from the top while installing the Kalash. People in those days couldnt make it to Mahalakshmi in kolhapur or Mandhardevi in Satara. Thus, this temple was built to make it easy for the devotees to come and offer their prayers. Yamai devi, Gayatri devi or simple Kanersar devi, this temple is famous not only in Pune, but in the districts adjacent to Pune.The wishing well is one famous attraction at the temple. There is a legend about a woman who bathe with the temple well water for 2 months and all her ailments were cured. Even doctors couldnt believe that could ever happen. In addition, people throw in coinsThere is a small window in the well and people try to aim at it. They believe that if the coin sits in the window, your wish comes true.Many fascinating things to say, but better if you visit the place all by yourself.

Every where greenery. There are lot of small veg hotels we got cheap breakfast and lunch in50Rp. We feel good there. big parking available. I love it. Thanks.
