I want to give 4 or 5 stars, but there were several things I didnt like about the hostel that should be fixed asap. The bed sheets are terrible, they dont stay on the mattress. The bathrooms are very basic and if they spent just a few rupees they could be so much better. The clothes drying area is ok but theres a mess around it. The common area is nice but zero shade. Theres another level which has shade but is a mess. Most people seemed to love the free dinner which is a cool idea, but it wasnt for me. The staff are great, very friendly. Breakfast is simple but worked for me (bread and an egg). Location not the best but a 20 min walk into town. Overall, a nice hostel that needs just a little TLC to make it a 4 or 5 star review.

Absolutely fantastic hostel. The staff really will do anything to make your stay perfect. Gorgeous pool, lovely views and comfortable beds. They include a cookery course every night and breakfast in the morning for no extra charge! Everyone eats their food together and enjoys the lovely view over Kandy.

Great hostel! Clean, well equipped rooms, nice swimming pool. Manjul the owner is super nice, helpful, he took us for a trip to his tea plantation. He also cooks delicious dinners (with free cooking class) that are FOR FREE! Other people working there are also great, always ready to help. Highly recommended place to stay in Kandy!

For a hostel it offers a lot and generally is a great experience. Evening cooking class is a great experience and is a good way to break the ice with the rest of the backpackers. Very kind staff, would recommend

The owner of the place is very nice and helpful. He supports you in anything you need and also offers an including cooking class. He made the stay comfortable. On the other hand cleanliness and tidiness could be improved and the beds are not made for tall people.After 2 weeks travel we can say for the money a good deal.

Not sure if its worth for the amount we paid. Dorms are pretty packed. Meals arent great. general cleanliness and maintenance inadequate. Washrooms are better though. The staff is nice and helpful.

Great hostel with a good vibe. Staff is nice and friendly. Rooms and toilets are clean. The pool and the terrace are great common areas. A little fit outside the core of Kandy but easily reachable and in a quiet area. No way of getting local food in the nearby but different options of delivery and a well equipped kitchen for guests.

This hostel is roughhhhh. Other than the really kind staff, the hostel is not nice at all. We stayed in a room with two bunks and it was super cramped. Everything smelled super musty, all the bedding was really stained, and the sheet was more like a cloth just thrown on top of the mostly exposed mattress. Mold on the ceilings. Everything is poorly maintained. Bathrooms were not great either. It’s worth spending a couple bucks more to stay in a nicer place.

This place was amazing! The owners are super friendly helpful and relaxed. There is a communal dinner every night and they give you a cooking lesson all included!!! This was the best Sri-Lankan meal I have had so far. Absolutely amazing value for money and even better vibes. This place is a must. It has a pool, a top roof area to chill and it is clean. Big love for this place ❤️❤️❤️

Basic, clean and friendly. There was no hot water so had cold showers for the 2 days we were there. The bedding and towels where marked but CLEAN. The staff where helpful and very welcoming. Say hello to Rocky the puppy when you arrive he his lovely.

Fantastic hostel. Very relaxed vibes and the host Manjul is so kind. There is free breakfast and dinner and they will also show you how to cook a nice curry in the evening for dinner. The rooms are clean and there is also a pool which is nice

Was made very welcome, pristine hospitality, staff were friendly, helpful and v genuine. Manju (owner) came especially to cook for us so breakfast and dinner was provided at no extra cost. His curries and sambal were 👌 the pool was exceptionally awesome given the heat... Comfy beds, safe and secure stunning view and balcony... Loved it, highly recommend! Best place to stay in Kandy! 🙌🙏💚

Unbelievably friendly staff. All the guests cooked an included dinner as a group and enjoyed the meal on the rooftop. The pool was also a nice treat to unwind.

One of the worst hostels Ive ever been to and Ive been to a lot. Overpriced, dirty, no atmosphere, got food poisoning in their restaurant..Private room is next to the reception which means its loud and there was light on in the reception until very late at night - with the poorly covered glass doors leading to our room. Old and loud AC, bathroom you dont want to use. Employees keep insisting we eat there all the time..Very bad experience!

Loved our stay there! Super friendly and helpful staff, many nice people to socialize with, a pool which is an absolute plus and they provide you with very good breakfast and dinner which you eat on the roof top terrace while enjoying the beautiful view. Our double room was tiny but the bed comfy and we had aircon, so all in all it was fine. Only downside, its a bit far out and you need a rickshaw to get to the town center but therefore the ambience is quiet and green. Highly recommended!!

Very helpful and lovely stuff with a big heart!! Nice hostel with a nice pool and great breakfast! They even had chocolate hoppers!! Location is a bit further away on a hill, though next to other hostels and the lake can be reached easily on foot. I was absolutely fine with the location! Rooms are small and there were only two bathrooms on my floor, but I never had a problem with this, as there was always one free and they were pretty clean! I felt very much at home and welcomed there, although I got sick on my way to Kandy and didnt leave my bed for two days. One on them was so incredibly kind and even brought me plain home cooked rice from his family, as I couldnt eat properly. I can just recommend to stay there and will come back for sure!

So far the best Hostel I’ve got in Sri Lanka. Lovely dinner and breakfast was included in the 7 dollar per night stay! Dorms were clean and the beds were fine! I usually don’t post reviews but this is a huge exception!! Oh and by the way, the owners are lovely and their dog is very nice!

Its far away from center with no shops around. The dorms are pretty small and cramped too. The pool looks nice, but was not really used as a hangout spot because people are out during the day, and it is too cold to use at night. Breakfast was decent with extra stuff. People werent too social

Definitely one of my favourite hostels that ive ever stayed in. Marcus and the boys are absolute legends, and go out of their way to help you have the best time. Every night guests and staff prepare and cook an (AMAZING and FREE) Sri Lankan Feast together for dinner, plus breakfast is included as well. What more could you ask for .... oh a fabulous swimming pool! The rooftop also has lovely views of Kandy in the distance. Its close enough to town, but in a very quiet and peaceful location. We wished we could have stayed longer..... hard to leave! Will definitely be back. Thanks guys!!

The rooms were really small and totally moist. But considering the price and the fact that one usually doesnt stay in the room while visiting a foreign country, its just fine. Additionally, there is a pool and the breakfast (which was included) was decent. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Fast WiFi is also available. Overall, our short stay was good, but Im not sure whether Id recommend it. I guess it really depends on what you are there for. BTW, easiest way to get there is by tuk tuk, which should only cost around 200 Rs. or less (for the whole ride) at the time of writing. A bus stop is close by as well and is most likely cheaper, but since it was heavily rainy we decided to spend the money on a tuk tuk.

Nice swimming pool, nice dinner where you can watch how it is prepared. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately a bit noisy due to renovations and road works around it.

Very friendly, helpful, courteous owner. The bedrooms and the pool were clean, the food which was cooked together in the evening was delicious. Relaxed and open atmosphere.
