Good place for a quick & pocket friendly breakfast.Hot & soft idly along with spicy chutney(🌶️🌶️🌶️) was awesome.Bonda was super crispy outside and softer inside.Poori and rice bath is also available.

Was my first visit to Kote Idli Mane. It was just like it is described in the posts. Was a bit difficult to find, but managed. From 1st September 2021, they are serving 6 idlis for Rs. 20.. I believe it is still very honestly priced for the super soft idlis and spicy red chutney... Yummm. Hope the legacy continues forever. 🙂

Avoid going on a Sunday. The piece is crowded. The idlis are good. The place is not on the main road. Plan to park away.

Kote Idli Mane is like a time machine which lets you experience the simple life. All you get here is idlis with red chutney made using traditional means (wood-fired). A plate of 8 idlis cost just Rs 20 and we were surprised that we managed to finish them. The idlis are hot n soft with the chutney adding some spice to the mix. Would recommend carrying some butter cubes with you to add to this experience.Expect this place to be crowded during weekends and dont mistake it for another small joint with same name at the beginning of the cross road. Just walk inside the lane to find this old house.

Food was so-so. It was popular and crowded; probably why idlis were not cooked properly. At less busy times, I imagine that their food is of better quality.

Amazing spicy chutney! They charge ₹20 for 6 Idlis and ₹10 for 3. You only get chutney and no sambar or vada. Idlis are soft and you can easily finish a plate and come back for more. If you go on weekends, youll have to wait in queue.

Simple and homely fare of idli and chutney is totally worth the drive from Bangalore on a weekend morning. Priced at 10rs for 3 idlis I dont think it gets cheaper or tastier.Please note that theres another place by the same name which is what we will first see. This place is about 100 metre walk up the narrow road and its a house. Recommend not taking car onto this narrow lane and to park on the other road

When you compare the quality with their heritage this place is big flop. Idly quality is below average or maximum average. One who is beginner to cooking can make better idli. We drove from Bangalore for this idli it was total disappointing.The chudtey the provide have two quality. For parcel they give thick one and for those wo are having fro there they provide the one which mixed with water. And it is not at all good.This is a very small place and it is too crowded. Guys one of the picture is a misleading one someone has uploaded. Thats the first copy hotel of original Kote Idli. So like in other images just ask for that small house without any commercial bill boards or advertisements etc. Find the genuine one and enjoy the Idlis

There 2 hotel in the same name in same area. Dont visit the fake kote idli hotel.. for original kote idli mane need to walk from 100 meters from main road.. parking not available for cars.. need to park near main road and walk.. worth the visit..

Approximately 60kms from bangalore lies this traditional idly shop in kanakpura serving soft idlies since the last 30years..Believe it or not you get 8 idlies here for just 20rs and the spicy chutney is heavenly.❤️.Note : While visiting here ,there are a couple of other kotte idly shops that comes before this just to deceive you.

Not worth visiting.I went all the way from Bengaluru.1.5hrs ride through the worst roads to Kanakapura frm Bengaluru...Generous,Humble old man(owner)of Kote Idli Mane, his son is very arrogant and stupid...After such a long ride the way he spoke to me i felt very bad abt visiting this place with lots of effort.And mainly we get 8 idlies for Rs.20.All the idlies i got wer half cooked🙈😭My overall experince was very bad😢😠

8 Idlis for 20 INR is a joke...!!IMO, I would rate this place higher than the Vasu Hotel on the main road. Reasons below.1. Only thing on the menu is Idly Chutney, it will serve the purpose of a simple sumptuous breakfast, whereas Vasu has lost its sheen or the authenticity is on the wane.2. You will still see people flocking Vasu, but the faces say a different story altogether.3. 8 Idlis with that extra spicy chutney will fill your stomach without needing anything.4. Idly Chutney is always lighter as it is steam cooked compared to oily Dosa and other things on offer at Vasu.And now the Cons, rather state of things.1. Weekends Im sure considering social media posts on this place, will be chaotic.2. Parking might become a mess, as the lane carrying it is narrow throughout. Suggest you park your cars far away.3. No seating arrangements as it is more of a fast foodplace, though it can manage 5 to 6 people near the counter.4. Small indoor area, it might need queuing up in the weekends.5. Better to go on a relaxed Weekday.6. In short, simple humble place with no facilities that you would expect.

Best place for morning breakfast, very soft idly. They give 8 idly for 20rs. Its small but sufficient. Only thing is chattni will be very spicy but its good.

Dint find much special, it was just as normal taste in other hotels, but Vada was good. Might find some parking issue for 4 wheelers.

There are 2 hotels in the same road. Please check with local people or anyone who has visited there. We had visited the 2nd shop. Worst place to have idlis. Idlis are very hard and the hotel owner is also too arrogant. If you want to have worst hard idlis in the world you can visit here. My recommendation is 0 for giving a try also in the 2nd shop.

Idly and only idly to choose from. Quantity is very good 6 pieces per plate. Red chetney was good but if u could get the solid Chetney it will be better. Check the place how the idlies are made. Firewood used to cook which makes this idlies unique. Parking an issue. No option to sit n eat. One has to accommodate outside the hotel. With these idlies vades are missed badly.

Is it only me or others also feel the taste of idlis here are not upto the hype it has? I felt they are average. The day I went though it was not crowded I felt idlis were not steamed to perfection, there was a hint of rawness and I felt as if they removed the idlis even before it was cooked.. quality wise no issues and looked good.The place has a homely vibe which I liked .. :)

Idly is as hard as chitradurgada kallina kote please borrow Hammer from Thor to break this idly, he will not put chutney even if you are a politician. His arrogance will make him fall down to where he belongs

This place serves amazing Idlys at Rs 2.5 each... Literally for 3 cents... You got nothing else apart from steaming hot idlys and red chutney... Sad part is a cheap neighbouring fellow opening a fake Kote Idly Mane on the main street to distract the customers....

This is an authentic small place where idly are still made in old style. I forgot to take photo of the idly maker, my hunger pangs had lost all patience to wait😬.This place doesnt serve green coconut chutney, they serve red spicy chutney along with idly. I am sure a normal person with decent appetite can gobble around 12-15 idlys. The kutti vadas are worth trying...its a nice pit stop place worth trying. I missed carrying my cutlery & ended up using foil 😒 so please ignore

Off main road, situated in a small gully. Cant be accessed well by car. 2 wheeler is OK. No real place for parking. Would suggest an early morning visit. Chutney is extremely spicy and not worth a special visit. Idli is soft. One time experience, if you must. Nothing else available to eat.

Its a humble eatery where you can gobble up as many idly as you can at a extremely pocket friendly price..! The idly arent the usual soft ones that dissolve as soon as you keep in the mouth, it has a bite to it. The chutney brings in all the spice and thats one fascinating thing about it. Well the place isnt that ambiance overloaded its elegant in its own way. Be ware only idly is Available at this family run establishment.

Rating 2 - This is only for the hard work they put in.Most of the food blogs have rated it highly, but the fact is far from the narrations mentioned in the blogs. Visiting in car would be a challenge. Bike/Cycle is accessible. Idlis are soft. But as you can see from most of reviews mentioning about chutney being spicy. Spicy is not the main concern. It is not tasty. Other than idli no other variety is available (incase if anyone from group would like to taste along with idli). Incase if you are planning to visit this place from far distance (above 5 km) for only testing idlis, not a good thought.
