The colony is really awesome, it has a games club and a temple in the centre.A lush green area.There are shops just outside the regency but not many in numbers so that may be a problem for some.

This is a good gated residential complex with a very nice club house. The place is located in Kalyan and is far away if you want to commute using public mode of transportation. Once inside the complex, it feels a different world altogether.

Kalyan: Up to two thousand people living since 2004 in a large residential complex in an upscale location here could be left without a roof over their head after the rains as the local civic body has ordered its demolition.Acting on a complaint forwarded by the CM Devendra Fadnavis-headed urban development department, Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation chief E Ravindran found that the builders of Mohan Regency Complex had usurped the land from its owner and has cancelled the commencement certificate issued to the complex.Shell-shocked families living in the 418 flats of the 18 ground-plus seven storey buildings are planning to take legal help to save their flats. We bought our flats on loan and banks never give loan if a building is illegal. Here the culprits are the builders and civic officials who had colluded with them. Why should our houses be demolished? Why should we be punished for no fault of ours, said a resident who did not want to be named.The decision taken by KDMC is shocking for us and we are going to hold a meeting of society members to take legal steps, said Vinayak Ingle, the housing society representative. There are some shops as well in the complex.The case has echoes of Worlis Campa Cola Society, where builders put up extra floors disregarding all rules in connivance with civic officials. The residents after a lengthy legal fight seem to have earned a reprieve for their flats.Ravindran told TOI: The plan of the building has been cancelled and the process of filing an FIR against those involved, including the builders and those involved from our department, is on. We will begin the demolition process once the rainy season gets over.On July 11, Ravindran said in his order after a probe that Mohan Regency Complex was constructed after presenting a fake power of attorney on March 16, 2000. KDMC sources explained that civic officials of the town planning department, in connivance with builders Mahesh Lalchandani of Mohan Regency Complex and Vikram Shah, Nilesh Parekh, Govardhan Patel, Nagin Patel and Rawal of Mumbai Landmark Construction made a power of attorney, taking away the development rights to seven acres of land belonging to Kasam Rajkotwala, who had passed away, without informing his family.Rajkotwalas daughter Anjum Khan had moved the civic body, but no one helped her. Things started moving after Shreenivas Ghanekar, an activist, took up the case in 2012. He got all the information and complained to the Economic Offences Wing, Thane. It forwarded the case to the UD department.We are happy that KDMC has at least declared the buildings illegal by cancelling the permission. Now we want further action, said Khan.
