You can read up on the history etc elsewhereWhat really impressed me was the size.There were thousands of people there, and still a tremendous sense of space.A few pinch points at entrances but we were through them in minutes.Nothing much to see in most of the buildings.Some otherseg Watch and Clock museum needed additional payment,from a different point,though nearby,to the attraction.I was part of a larger ,unguided ,group.If I were to visit again i would get an audio guide and explore the side buildings

Memorial is fully air conditioned & nicely maintained with pictures and some personal belongings of Balasaheb Thackeray.Must visit the place, Night lighting just make the lake more beautiful.

Where the leader had spent some of the days of his childhood.The memorial has a 22-feet bronze statue of Bal Thackeray. The memorial has been constructed at Kala Talab in Kalyan (West) by Kalyan-Dombivli municipal corporation run by Shiv Sena-BJP.Over Rs 13 crore have been spent on this. Theres also a museum having information on the life of Bal Thackaray.During inauguration, other leaders were also present including Adity Thackaray, Thane Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde, KDMC Mayor Rajendra Devlekar and Vijay Salvi.

Located besides the lake it is a memorial place of Shivsena founder Late Balasaheb Thackeray. The place holds a statue and a Museum dedicated to his memories with some of his photographs, paintings, cartoons, some of his belongings, etc. The place also has a small library. The place looks beautiful in the evening lights, well maintained and beautiful.

Very nice places in kalyan City

The place situated beside kala lake also called kala talav. Nice place has big statue of Mr. Balasaheb Thakre. Also has library and museum. Nice view of kala talav. A happening palce of kalyan, where people come for jogging, to take ferry ride in talav. Also nice soft music always played through the speakers installed all around the lake. It is maintained by Kalyan dombivali municipal corporation.
