Brahmandanga Durga Mandir has a Rich History & many legends associated with it like most of the ancient Indian temples.A quest-like zeal overtook me on my journey to Brahmandanga. My greatgreat grandfather had been one of the zamindars in the land of Brahmandanga (ten) estates, and as luck would have it, our ancestral home was still our own. The Bengal countryside had its effect on me the way it would any city dweller: green fields, baby goats, the nimble breeze, the burnt-red earth and most of all Two rivers namely Shilaboti & Joyponda.I could not but feel exhilarated, whether it was the pollution-free air or the sense of un-experienced nostalgia.
