A nice and cozy stay right on the bank of Ganges. A great place if you want to enjoy the nature with serene peace and calmness. The hospitality from the owners as well as the staff is just great and the food served is awesome.
Loved staying here for 8 days. Quiet, peaceful, GREEN property, with a beautiful brook and little waterfall next to the rooms. Reading hammock next to the stream and Readers Rock on the riverside. Charming little surprise Buddha statues and lots of lovely green moss. Even a few mushrooms! Wifi is good, phone network is also good enough for online classes and calls. Super hot water with great pressure. Great food, great service, there if you need it but unobtrusive. Also went out of their way to solve some problems we had on Day 1, and it was smooth sailing after. The entry path is steep and rocky, but my 60+ parents were going up and down with relative ease after the first few times.Special shout-out to Manish Ji for going above and beyond every day! Steve and family are lucky + goals, for living here permanently.
A hidden gem. Beautiful place, amazing people. Serene, peaceful, tranquil! It was one of the most beautiful experiences we had in rishikesh.
Peaceful place surrounded by lush green nature and river bed. Courteous hosts. A place to experience when visiting Rishikesh.
Fake Description is there on internet. There is no wifi, no beach as mentioned in almost all travelling website. When i asked about wifi, the manager asked me to use my own mobile data. The trekking is also not safe during rainy season.I booked for two nights and soon after reaching there I realised my mistake and left the place on the same day. I requested owner to refund atleast 50% but he refused. I would not recommend anyone to book this place.
Calmness, Peaceful, Close to Ganga beach and Healthy Food! Can stay here for months.
I stayed at rainforest house for 10 days. This was the first time in 1.5 years that I was traveling (with the lockdowns during pandemic). Steve and Tripti have created a space that has a healing energy, which leaves you with a sense of lightness. Prior to booking, Steve was very prompt and generous with his responses over chat. This meant a lot because this was our first trip in more than a year post pandemic related lockdown and we were trying to be very cautious with travels.Location and space - Rainforest house is located very conveniently close to Lakshman jhoola, took us 10 -15 mins to reach the bazaar area. However we quickly realised that we dont want to step outside at all as rainforest house had everything - a waterfall flowing adjacent to the property, the river flowing by in front (conveniently far enough from high adrenaline screaming rafters), many spaces to sit, meditate, read a book, work, etc. The energy of rainforest house was evident - my thoughts slowed down, I slept incredibly well and was able to center myself more than I am able to usually.Staff - Everyone is very kind punctual and very professional. Manish ji, the manager is wonderfully resourceful. He effortlessly arranged a rental vehicle, pick ups, and had the best recommendations - which I noticed was customised based on who he was interacting with. He had advice for short weekend visitors as well as longer stayers. The rest of the team was very professional in terms of mealtimes, cleaning, logistics.Food - The menu is healthy, delicious and fresh. Like mentioned, it is freshly cooked. Over 10 days I got to try everything from their pancakes to parathas and pohas, their stir fry veggies with cottage cheese cake as well as my favorite house meal that balanced proteins, carbs and fibres. I am particularly grateful for accommodating my dietary requests of low carb and high protein meals on most days. I did not feel the need to go to any of the hundreds of cafes in rishikesh after having food here. DO NOT MISS the incredibly delicious pizzas that they make from scratch in the kitchen!Working from here - I found that airtel and jio have super fast 4G network, and I could do video calls with ease. Make sure to not have long calls in common areas as it may take away from other peoples peace (the space is very quiet and talking loudly on calls etc can be very disturbing).Rooms - The rooms are very simple, clean and appropriately lit with daylight in morning and warm low lighting (my favorite) in evenings. It is amazing how well equipped it is with room heaters and ac, geyser and a clean well ventilated and designed bathroom.Given the hardships of living in harsh weather conditions and limited conveniences (as compared to cities), I really admire the incredibly hard work Steve, Tripti and their team take on to create a beautiful environmet. For the 10 days I was there, I also met some incredible people, and got to know Steve and Tripti and their family. It felt being part of a household/ family rather than being in a bnb/homestay. Which is why I left rainforest house with the resolve to be back very very soon.
The place is beautiful and peaceful, owners and workers are very kind and aware. rooms are comfortable. food is delicious and healthy. very special. we are grateful to this place and everyone involved with the work to maintain it.
The views from the property, the cooperative people of rainforest, wholesome food and eversmiling Steve... fantastic experience
Amazing location in nature just outside Rishikesh. Quiet, peaceful, serene... Ganga... the list of amazing reasons to stay here are endless. The owners, staff, food, rooms.. everything is incredible. It was my home for five beautiful months during lockdown. Cannot say enough good things about it, and miss it every day. Do yourself a favor and stay here, you wont regret it.
Rainforest House is my favourite location in and near Rishikesh. It is very rare to find such a serene, sattvic retreat house in Uttarakhand. The property is right next to Ganga Ji and embedded into nature. Next to Rainforest House are two beautiful sandy beaches on the banks of Ganga Ji, which makes it very easy to go and take dips in the river each day. I stayed in two different rooms (ground floor and first floor) and both have a beautiful view on Ganga Ji. The yoga hall on top of the building offers a full frontal window view into the trees as well as Ganga Ji. It is truly mesmerising. Food is delicious (specially loved their Poha for breakfast), rooms very clean with large hot water geysers, staff is very kind and assisted me with any queries I had. For those who like to walk and are a bit more adventurous: after going over some stones a small walking path along Ganga Ji begins, which leads along a few Baba Kutirs into Tapovan; about 30mins walk.
Beautiful place with beautiful people. Thanks to Tripti the owner of this place.
This is a peaceful place just on the banks of the Ganga River. Staff is very co-operative and helpful. Food served here is very delicious. Worth to stay here. If anybody wants to take a home stay but without TV, Then it is one of the best place to stay.
It was a overall good experience 🙂
A really wonderful place to stay. You wake up to the sound of the hornbills in the trees outside and the Ganges coming to life. The food is wonderful and the staff really are excellent and particularly good at keeping the monkeys away from your food. Access to the property is down a rocky path of 150-200 metres so be aware of this. If you are looking for some peace and to feel close to nature it really is a perfect spot.
Love this place so much. We not stay here but come to have lunch. The Ambience is amazing.Nice place to relax.
Very nice place to relax away from the crowd. Very friendly staff! They built a bonfire for us in the evening which we thoroughly enjoyed after a great day of rafting on the Ganges. Food was delicious. Pizza and pasta were just that good! Comfortable rooms. One suggestion: the path from road to the guesthouse could be improved.
A great place.... worth a visit..... food is really good...... if u visit demand the cook for pasta.... real yum food.... the places location is really good....... WORTH A VISIT
Is out of rishikesh is great to get away from the noice. The food is very good.
This is Heaven.... an odd thing to say about a hotel in Rishikesh, but Rainforest House is Divine. simple food, delightful Ganges roaring past, no sound of traffic and a 200 meter rocky descent from the road so you are far from civilisation. I loved it and all the staff!
Super super place. What a Ganga view and vibeMost excellent team run by manager Manish. The Garhwali men who work here are really simple, heartfelt and good people!Good organic food. A yoga room and open air cafeMany good things to remember this place for.
Super amazing place ! love the staff, the food, location, yoga shala....actually everything about this place is amazing.Perfect for Yoga Retreats or any other inner Work where you needa sattvic surounding. The owners are fantastic and they know whats needed to host spiritual groups. Always first choice in Rishikesh area.
No beach... Nice nature fake description on net... Only a small falll very small.. 1km trek to reach.. Dangerous
Solace, simplicity and class apart. All together different experience
Jwel among all hotels and resorts, Traveller looking for Peace and Recration can find it here
Beautiful view from the building. Nice place to stay.
Tucked away at a secluded spot, away from the sounds of traffic. The only thing you can hear around you is the constant sounds of the waterfall nearby, and the birds chirping away as they go about their daily tasks. The serenity of the place is its biggest selling point. The rooms are of a decent size, and are comfortable and cosy, with a beautiful view of the Ganga. The waterfall, is of course, right next to your rooms, and you can walk down and enjoy the view, or lie down on the hammocks placed there, enjoying the view or reading. The area is very green and the natural beauty is pure and untainted. The staff here is polite, courteous and very thoughtful. They serve simple, yet delicious vegetarian food, both North Indian and Continental. The resort does not have too many rooms, thus, saving you from too much noise or crowd, which is usually what you encounter in the more commercialized establishments in Rishikesh. This is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting Rishikesh. Would highly recommend it :)
This is the place where running waters of Ganga and sounds of streams will clean your mind and soul. Enjoy..
Pros - quite place, neer gaddu stream flows next to property, ganga river is 200 m downhill. Amazing views.Cons - 300 m away from main road, no proper car parking, had to send our car to rishikesh, cost of home cooked mealeal is 400 per head which is on the higher side.Note - do not ask them to book a rafting experience - they charge 600/- for what you can get for 300 - 350/-. Best is to walk down to ganga and book with one of the guys who brings their team for cliff jumping right behind Rainforest house.
Awesome place to hangout with friends . There is a theka nearby , dont expect good brands though .
Rainforest restaurant is nice beutiful place , build in close to nature, eco-friendly, rafting boats stops at bottom of hotel area, Ganga river flows near to Hotel, those who want company with nature should visit the place and stay there, good Hospitality,
Staying on he banks of the Ganga listening to the constant rush of the water is just the most enchanting experience
Super awesome place, very good rooms, location is the mind blowing
Appearances are deceiving. Everything is regimented. Nothing can deviate from the process or you will be reprimanded. I simply asked to avoid changing rooms every night and the owner took the request for convenience as a personal insult.
Nice havenly quit place to stay for a couple of days, good service, nice atmosphere, beautiful nature
