For a young female, this store is great. I must admit, I bought myself 3 pairs of 👞 here- and a dress with feathers on the sleeves. I gave my granddaughters 125.00 gift cards to spend here and they used up a the amounts on 2 or e items, [good sales, but pricey otherwise]. Had a hip vibe with hip hop/rap [kind of clean music]] inside and the location is the best. Lots of eateries in the immediate vicinity.

Feels like a club in a flea market. Fast fashion is big in this place. Akira had better quality when it was only on North Ave. The Hyde Park team are amazing though!

Akira in Hyde Park has an abundance of store stock on everything from shoes, accessories, clothing and jewelry. The prices are less than modest - I think. You can use the dressing room at this time (April 2021) There is security. Parking is available on the street - metered and there are small parking lots within walking 🚶‍♂️distance. The management team is fantastic if you have any issues, which demand a boss input. Great overall shopping 🛍 experience!!

Cute store w/decent prices. Akira carries trendy in fast fashion clothes, variety of shoes & even accessories. The sales people are all extremely friendly, always available & willing to help you. They will help you put together an entire outfit for your occasion, whether it be a hot date, nite out with the girls, birthday or even a wedding.This store pretty much had everything! I suggest you ask for assistance because it can be overwhelming! So much merchandise to search through. Not necessarily a bad thing!

I love Akira and since I live in Phoenix I usually buy everything online. I saw a dress I wanted online and call the location because they didnt have it in my size I was told that there were three of them. When I arrived in Chicago and went to the store several people said they could not find it. I wanted the dress for a memorial service that I was attending for my sister. I went to the checkout and the girl was very helpful and went and got her visual manager whom she said would know everything on the floor. Within 10 minutes she found the dress with several others. I was so grateful that she took the time and was able to help. On top of that the dress was 50% off! The store is really poppin and you can spend a lot of time in there because they have so much in stock. The only complaint is things are not well organized and you can get overwhelmed. But I love their clothes, the quality and selection. For me its just better to shop online because I can separate things in categories and find what I want.

The only thing that I was not in agreement with is the fact the company that makes the leggings with fleece lining, the waist line is smaller than the the one produce year before last. 😕Go back to those. Why change something that is working and they work for us thicker people. You change back and Ill keep buying not only for myself but others too! 😀They love them. So get on the good foot and have them ready for next year!😃

Excellent place to lounge and/or mellow gatherings. We thoroughly enjoyed the live music, dj and vendors.

I went into the store for a pair of heels to wear out of town to Atlanta. Well I got to Atlanta and realized they only gave me one shoe. How you check a box at checkout and don’t realize you left a shoe out? Then when you try to call the store it goes straight to voicemail. Instead of the staff flirting with security and being on they phone. They need to do they job. I will never come back here.

Everybody was so helpful so nice that was my first time in the store and I would definitely go back but Im joking when I say this I think they being real hypocritical that they dont have all of the zodiac signs there they have to wait until they season come that hurts but I had a good experience other than a necklace it was fine though 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

The Cashier called Barbie has little to know knowledge of Akira brand, coupons or policy. He was rude and wasn’t attentive. Everyone other sales representative are always polite and well educated about the merchandise. But Barbie was 0% in customer service. Management look into this.

No one greeted me when I walked into the store, no one asked to help me when I walked around. An associate almost knocked my daughter over trying to get past without saying excuse me. I asked a manager to check the price of something, she checked and sat the item down, I had to ask her if the price showed when she scanned it. Ill continue to shop in Skokie, where customer service is given immediately

I love Akira, but the long wait at the cash wrap is unnecessary! People want to be in and out! Parking is not free in Hyde Park. Dont allow people to wait a lengthy time to spend their money. Work a little faster on that cash wrap

Not an everyday wear basically and upscale rainbow shop... Overpriced these are the same clothes that people are ordering off the internet from Venus and chick me....

Great experience with placing an order online and my outfit looked exactly like the picture that was on their website. I did a test run and I am pleased with my purchase. My initial concern is that they are very hard to contact via the telephone so I was apprehensive about ordering as a first time customer.

When I purchased my clothes from them last week never was told that it was final sale. The young lady Jalfaro was my cashier and never once told us that. She act as if she had an attitude but then claims she told me. How do you tell someone something with an attitude. I don’t forget things. I would have put the jeans back not to try it on at hone instead. Terrible.

The crowd can be a little off-putting, but the staff is so attentive and genuinely want to help you put your outfit together. Every time I walk in, I am greeted quickly, and once I start picking up items, they are quick to assist.

My favorite place but I recently just went there n the young man that was helping me was very rude and unprofessional on several occasions. I did address the other employee about it because I had to pretty much help myself and I asked him to get me a bigger size skirt n he started helping someone else, I was very unhappy especially when I spent 400 bucks for my B Day.

Calling the store in Hyde Park for 2 days. I misplaced/lost a pair of sunglasses. I live in another state. I wanted to drive back to the store however I didnt want to travel if they were not there. I understand that the store may be busy however ... Why waste people time waiting on the phone to get a message later saying they cant connect you...then it hangs up on you..... you know the stores employees are not answering. Suggestion just have the recording connect to customer service center (different from the individual store). Hopefully then you may get the answers/service you need

I think I have found my new favorite place. I LOVE THIS STORE. I dont think I will go anywhere else for party clothes again. That being said, the sizes run REALLY small. I normally where a Medium, and had a difficult time finding Larges that fit properly.The woman who helped me was awesome. She had so many great suggestions and basically picked out my NYE outfit. I couldnt be more pleased with the experience.

Way overpriced but I like the clothing. Youth can find the same clothing for cheaper in other stores as well as online companies. But if you need items in the moment or missed items when they first hit the market this is a great place to shop. Only located in select markets but we were visiting Chicago and this was the place that had what I wanted. I liked this location close to the lake scene. It has a beautiful layout and from the others I visited this had more items/bigger showroom.

I had THE BEST experience at this store. Thanks to Micah and Flo. They are awesome! I went there to look for an outfit for a wedding and they went above and beyond to help me. While I looked around Micah picked out like 10-15 outfits for me, she brought shoes and accessories too and Flo helped her/me too. So did a few other people who work there. I’ve been to other Akira locations before but this one is my absolute favorite! The music is cool, the store is cool and the staff is just super cool! I will be back!

I am currently leaving review after a male employee came into the room while I was in the dressing room. After discovering it was occupied he was not quick to remove himself from the room and stayed with his head emersed into my fitting room. When I notified staff no one took my concern into account.Additionally, I was never helped while in the store. Poor experience and I take issue with their being no sense of regard for my privacy being invaded
