A huge property. Beautiful view of Balsamand lake as we walk into the resort. Sunset is great here. Highly recommending kebabs in the restaurant. Breakfast buffet was decent. There is horse riding too. There are around ten horses and a stable inside. Peacocks are always around us. All in all a good stay.
10/10 for courteous staff, outdoor activities, food and drinks, heritage architecture, sunset view at the lake side, and a complete delight for a nature lover.

This is one of the best heritage properties I have visited. What makes it stand from others is the natural beauty it is surrounded by. It has a lake which is nit open to public, only the people staying in the hotel can visit so it is not crowded.There are so many peacocks in the property.They also have horses and one can take a horse or a cart ride in the premises. This property is spread across 60 acre with a private palace and lake and an astbal with lots of horses. The palace and lake is opened for travellers. Best part is to see peacock dancing , birds chirping, monkey playing, parrots and squirrel eating in one bowl all across the property in the morning. Dinner was pretty costly but not value for money. I have not seen any special rajasthani dish in the menu.The staff is very courteous and helpful. It was a nostalgic feeling of my childhood in small city. Bal samand is a must visit in JODHPUR . It’s the most popular dinner place to go with friends and family . It has a different charm in the day time and an altogether different vibe for dinners! Food is delicious ! It is on a bit higher price range side , but worth it .

Good place to visit once if you are in jodhpur. The ambience at night time is very nice and the food and service is decent too. A bit overpriced though.Ps. It can get a bit chilly in night so carry a jacket or shawl

I am falling short of words to describe my experience at this magnificent place, everybody should experience this beautiful heritage property with super added scenic natural environment...overall a perfect place!!!
Overview:Been there two years in a row in towards the end of the winters. The sheer expanse of the property - with the gardens, the rustic rooms, the dam and the accompanying lake, the peacocks & monkeys, their stables and fruit gardens - is perfect, even if you dont intend to step out of it.Property & Room:Expansive, large, vast, spread-out, open - take your choice of words. They have multiple gardens, bridges over small brooks, a private dam, a lake reservoir, a small palace, an enclosed but open to air swimming-pool, peacock, squirrels, monkeys, horses, trees, and yes, i may be missing a lot more. The lawns are well manicured, the trees lush, clean roads & pathways, etc.The rooms are spread across 2 sections. The first set is near the lobby facing the lawns - all of them on the ground floor, these old-world rooms have a verandah, both in the front and the back of the rooms. We stayed in these rooms both the times we were there. The rooms are well-appointed, spacious, and clean.The other set is apparently more luxurious and suite-like and further ahead facing the lakeF&B:The property has 2 dining options; one is the conventional restaurant/coffee-shop, where they serve breakfast and is an all-day dining option. The other restaurant being an only-evening option, which is on the lawns,. which predominantly serves tandoored/barbequed stuff, where they also serve alcohol and other a-la-carte items. This restaurant seemed pretty popular with locals, popular enough to undertake a fairly long drive in the evenings :)The breakfast is pretty comprehensive with the regular Indian fare (South & North) and continental options; this coffeeshop/restaurant has both, an indoor (pretty vintage & rustic) feel and a few tables outsideServices & Amenities:The property has its own stables with horses (they seem well-taken care-of, with lots of space); vegetable, herb & fruit trees, a dam, peacocks, monkeys, squirrels, dogs, birds of many species (pardon me, if im missing anything else) and yes, a swimming pool, a dam and give or take a few more things. We had a very pleasant stay for two days at WelcomHeritage Bal Samand Lake Palace hotel in Jodhpur on 12th & 13th February, 2021 during a Wedding. The property is built across a huge 60 acre lush, green land with beautiful peacocks, parrots and birds all over. We were surprised to see a stud farm inside with more than 20 well maintained horses for riding. Healthy Breakfast & Dinner was served during our stay. The General Manager of the property, Mr. Jitendra Shekhawat attended us very gracefully & is a pleasing person and was seen interacting with all the guests. The only thing we missed during our stay was a guide & reasonable transport facility to help us go around the tourist spots of the city🌻🍁👍🍹🍷🌺Jyoti & Rajesh Nanda, Kanpur.

Truly one of the most unique hotel experiences of my life. The rooms and service are excellent. The hotel definitely has a 5 star but rustic ambiance. The hotel is never crowded, food is awesome. As someone who has stayed at 5 star hotels across the world, this is one of my favorite. Peacocks and monkeys roam a large and tranquil property. My only regret is that I didnt stay longer.
WelcomHeritage Bal Samand Lake Palace is a fleeting distance of 5 kilometers from the city of Jodhpur. It is located on the Mandore Road, overlooking the astounding still and clear Balsamand Lake. It is indeed a true spectacle of a view. The heritage property is built in red sandstone & employs typical ornate Rajput architecture. It is conceived to be the summer residence of the Jodhpur Maharajas in the glorious past. The Bal Samand Lake was artificially created in the 13th century as a water reservoir that supplied drinking water to the city. It now compliments the lush greens and heritage terraced gardens of the property.
Absolutely outstanding. The whole experience was totally fulfilling and theres nothing I can find fault with (except the food is pricey, a single tandoori roti is Rs. 116, buffet is okay though at about 1600, the taste is good). You can spend an entire day exploring the resort if you want to and its enchanting. Theres horses, an outdoor swimming pool, a palace and even a private lake. Really, words cant do it justice. Its a resort and a holiday all by itself. The most romantic place ever. The peacocks and the gardens and the waterfall are absolutely marvelous. Must see and stay in Jodhpur.

We were two families with kids who stayed at the Bal Samand Lake Palace for 3 nights, we had travelled in our own vehicle. The facility as well as the hospitality was fantastic. Interestingly such was the ambience of the place that we hardly travelled around in Jodhpur (just visited Mehrangarh fort) and spent all the days at the facility with Kids - cycling, jogging, long walks (exploring - there is a 400 years old Shiva temple with a step well!), doing yoga overlooking the breath-taking lake view, playing Golf! It also has a great habitat with abundance of peacocks at the premises. There were a few monkeys too but they were just too happy amongst themselves - did not bother us! During the night it is not very well lit. The staff was very courteous and were taking covid-19 precautions all along. The service is very prompt and the food at the Kebab Korner was delicious, all managed efficiently under the able leadership of Mr Jitendra Shekhawat . We stayed at Garden view room and it was very clean and spacious with its own backyard. Its a huge property and we were amazed to see such beautifully maintained lawns & green spaces - great effort by the team there. Again we had a lovely stay, spent some quality time with the children and would definitely plan to visit again.

I booked Welcomeheritage Bal Samand Lake Palace just because of my previous experience with Welcomheritage Group. I have stayed twice at their Jaipurs Traditional Haveli Hotel and I was very satisfied and happy with their service and hospitality.I stayed here at Bal Samand Lake Palace from 11th August to 14th August, 2019. My experience here was superb. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, be its peaceful location or its spread-out well maintained lawns or its well behaved staff, from front desk officer to F & B Manager or room service men. This hotel has very well clean rooms with all the amenities, well maintained pool and a decent restaurant which serves good food.The USP of this Hotel is its location which is on the sides of the Bal Samand Lake and an historical palatial building which is a part of this Hotel. It offers beautiful views of the Lake during evenings and early mornings.I surely recommend this Hotel and would suggest to enjoy this property also as it is a kind of sight seeing place in itself in Jodhpur. This place worth a shot everytime when you visit Jodhpur. This was my 2nd visit to this place and i am just in love with this property. Its a huge property which is spread over 60 acres of area and a private lake. They have 2 types of rooms, deluxe which is located right side of the reception area and suite which is located above the fort on the lake side. There are 3 restaurants in the palace and quality of food is awesome. The staff is very helpful and service is quick.
This place is 5 star resort which is super laid back. Place is 80 acres of palace with a personal lake. Amazing maintenance and lush green parks. Has a fine dine outdoor restaurant which is standalone too.. Food is also nice in restaurant although it should be slightly cheaper. No one charges 150 for a parantha...still vacays are meant to be like this sometimes. Standard room are spacious, washroom could be larger. Since it is crafted out of a palace, things seems out of place. Generous quantity of peacock and birds make ur day.

Its an awesome heritage hotel with all modern amenities, located in very green, serene and scenic surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, on the outskirts of Jodhpur.The food in the restaurant, especially the non-veg barbecue platter is superb. The rates are very competitive and affordable and the bar is well stocked.One can opt for the outdoor restaurant in the evening or the fully air-conditioned indoor restaurant during hot days. The parking is free and wheelchair accessible.The service and staff are both excellent.Strongly recommended.

If you are in Jodhpur and have some time to relax - you must make it here! It reminds me my old home in India where everything was serene, synergatic, harmonious and joyous. You will find beautiful range of birds including Peacocks roaming around. Walk a little you will be greeted with many monkeys, my son loved them! and then on the left you will find horses just running around and enjoying a breeze from the lake and just wandering around under a custody of their care takers. Very Pleasant stay - and yes, fantastic breakfast... This is India I remember!!!

Celebrated my birthday at Baal samand lake palace. And I was awestruck by the beauty. Everything was so pleasantly beautiful. From horses to sunsets to peacocks and birds and flowers, garden, pool everything and anything I witnessed wasnt less than a fairytale. I had the most amazing evening of my life there. And not to forget about the oh so wonderful food. The laal maans and naan is exactly what you need to order if you visit this place, without a second thought. And yes there is a mini bar as well ! For those who can afford rooms there. .well well lucky you guys !

I have travelled around India many times, but I have never experienced such an Excellent hotel in India. I strongly recommend it to travellers. The hotel includes a beautiful and giant nature, a fresh and green park, a small golf course, a beautiful lake, and so on. The swimming pool seemed well-maintained. I enjoyed walking around it and found out some romantic places. And i had the best moment, which I had dinner next to the bonfire in the barbecue zone. I can say that its well-maintained by the friendly and polite staff.

Had a pleasant stay at WelcomHeritage Bal Samand Lake Palace in July mid.We were greeted with a welcome drink.Very Beautiful property, Lush green gardens and beautiful orchards, calm and peaceful environment.Perfect resort for couples to spend two or three days during monsoon.Helpful staff and prompt service.Restaurant is good with tasty food and very courteous staff.I would like to suggest management, Garden rooms must have bath tub.
Incredible Architecture and step back into timeI had not heard of these gardens and their beauty came as a welcome surprise. The history of the architecture is incredible and no photo can describe the atmosphere. Do yourself a favour if your close to this area and take time to visit.

The kind of service offered here is unbelievable.Special mention: Sawai Singh, Govardhan, Chen singh, Aam singh.The Property itself is very well maintained, you will see greenery, peacocks and rabbits at almost every location.Stayed at Garden Room 37, room is spacious, with a sit out behind, as well as a porch in front.Food has selected options, but what they offer is tasty and well prepared, presented to perfection. Things they could improve: street lighting towards palace from restaurant , more options in the main course for restaurant, more outdoor and indoor games.

This is an ideal retreat.... With all modern amenities it has still retained an old world charm. With rooms opening into the garden you dont feel couped up. Free to walk out into very well manicured lawns dotted with peacocks who burst into open feathers frequently, black faced white langurs, and numerous birds, it is a true pleasure to be here. Dinner is served as barbecue in the open or in the restaurant attended by one Mr Hanuman Singh who adds to the ambience and the aroma of the local cuisine in his own special way. The Bal Samand lake near the palace is a lovely breezy spot and the peacock fountain is not to be missed. Oh yes the horses in the stables are real tall and handsome and one can take a horse ride around the lush green foresty campus.
The balsamand heritage hotel is breathtakingly beautiful.The staff are courteous .Apart from spacious rooms they boast of a garden dining area,sprawling lawns(here you can spot peacocks roaming around freely) ,peacock fountain(not operational during this time of the year),swimming pool, buggy & horse rides(extra charge).They offer bicycles to go around the property ( first hour is complimentary after that 100 bucks /hr). You can cycle up to the balsamand lake and spend some hours sitting on the palace ramparts and see the beautiful sunset and feel the cool breeze .This is a place where you can feel very close to nature. Whenever you are in Jodhpur you should definitely stay for a day or two in this lake palace.

Amazing place that should be rated 5 stars. For the price especially, it is unbelievable that the hotel is able to maintain itself because the grounds are perfectly maintained as well as the pool, and the staff are extremely nice. The hotel itself is a sight to see as it is the old summer palace of the royal family. Therefore the palace rooms are extremely luxurious. The grounds as well are so picturesque and beautiful. This is definitely the place you want to stay if you want to relax and unwind.

We really loved the aura of whole palace, chirping of birds, rooms on the lake, peacock outside your window, trees all around, it’s just all beautiful beyond the imagination. . And when you want to relax pool is the best option there. Apart from palace beauty we must tell you that staff was so welcoming at the reception, rooms services or at the restaurants. They were just so kind and humble.Food at the restaurant was super delicious and it really feels good when the chef himself come to you ask for your requirements in the food. I would like say about the candle night dinner which we had. it was simply awesome and mind blowing. the quality of the food we had it was the awesome (100 stars). if you are in jodhpur and if you are not having dinner here. then you are missing something. try the buffet that they have.
This hotel was great, it had amazing rooms, views and amenities. They had very spacious cozy rooms with nice pink bathrooms and a mini bar. We came on Christmas so on the 24th they decorated your rooms a bit, gave you a stocking full of sweets and baked you a nice rum fruit cake.The views were also great and the scenery was amazing. Beautiful gardens and trails complemented by an amazing variety of wildlife. The area has lawns, a mini golf course, a swimming pool, a lake, fountains and Flora and Fauna sprinkled over the area in generous helpings.There are lemurs, peacocks, parrots and more around dotting the landscape. You can see them while biking or walking along the trails. Look at the flowers and trees as well. Some may be hundreds of years old. Check out the collosal banyan tree near Bal Sammand Lake, I saw at least a hundred bats there one afternoon, hanging upside down sleeping, along with the stragglers that fly around looking for a spot to sleep in.The other amenities are great. As well as the pool, mini golf course, lake and fountains, you can rent bikes for free and I saw some horses in their stables that you can take for carriage rides in the afternoon.The food here though is even better though, I am in love with the restaurants breakfast and the service is great too. They make dosas, utapam, waffles, pancakes, and eggs there in front of you and also have a large buffet with a variety of dishes including an average continental breakfast with many Indian dishes on top of that. The staff is also amazing, they are helpful, kind and informative as well.
Amazing place it is wonderful
The Horák has clean spacy rooms with nice stylish equipment. The garden is fabulous, as the lakeside Palace. Staff FANTASTIC, everything is possible, quick and reliable and veeeery kind. This is a real Tajestan hospitality experience at highest level. The dining was also superb both in service as well in food: delicious, big size portions, varieties... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Classic place. It provides the perfect setting for a royal retreat. It is a peaceful gateway spread over large area and is perfect for meditation and relaxation. Service accorded by staff is very friendly and courteous. Special mention must be made of Mr. Devender Singh, who leaves no stone unturned to treat his guests in the great tradition of Rajasthan”- Atithi Devo Bhava”. Keep it up.
Didnt have the option to give less than 1 star(otherwise would surely have). The first impression of the location and ambience was really mesmerizing and got our hopes really high. But as we proceeded further, things turned out to be all inversed in the service-point-of-view. It was nearly 1 and half hour of waiting and there were no arrangements for a table for 9 people. And even after that the order took nearly 45 minutes to arrive. Now the quality of the food– the paneer dish was smelling as if it was 1 day old. The Daal was of so less-spiced (even the homemade daal tastes better).The waiters really seemed unenthusiastic and uninterested to receive our order.In all, our whole weekend experience was completely disappointing. We looked forward to have a fun experience with our relatives and cousins but all our hopes were shattered badly.
Very nice, maintained, green place to visit
I would describe this place as a royal, quite , peaceful, soothing hotel and restaurant surrounded by lush green vicinity. If your are in the city as a visitor ... You must experience the hospitality of the place. The restaurant serves several delicacies from multiple cuisines. Staff is very humble, services are great, food is delicious. A must visit place.
Its a great property, staff and employees are so welcoming. Must try their Laal Maas. There Stable is amazing as well.
This is known as monsoon palace. The place is lovely with huge gardens and pool. There are peacocks roaming in gardens ..this makes the view amazing.
In the time of Covid-19 the hotel management is taking special care, They are checking the temperature with Thermal Gun, They are also Sanitizing hands before entering.Mask is worn by every staff while attending the guest.They are many sanitization point like at Reception, Entry Gate, Restaurant.Tea is also served in disposable glasses.
A fantastic palace , huge garden , lake is adorable, natural palace one must visit herebut food quality is average , still need improvement
