Kesavadatta Brahmin lived with his wife Anjali in Rishinagar. There was no dearth of wealth and property in Keshavdutts house. Everyone in the city respected Keshavdutt, but Keshavdutt was very worried about not having children.Both husband and wife used to go to the temple every Tuesday and worship Hanumanji. Many years have passed by duly observing Tuesdays fast. The Brahmin became very disappointed, but he did not stop fasting.After some days Keshavdutt went to the forest to worship Hanumanji. His wife Anjali started fasting on Tuesday while staying at home. Both the husband and wife started fasting on Tuesday for getting a son. After some days Anjali fasted on the next Tuesday but due to some reason Anjali could not offer Bhog to Hanumanji on that day and she went to bed hungry after sunset.On the next Tuesday, he took a vow not to eat food without offering bhog to Hanumanji. Anjali remained hungry and thirsty for six days. On Tuesday, the seventh day, Anjali worshiped Hanumanji, but then Anjali fainted due to hunger and thirst.Hanumanji appeared to her in a dream and said- Get up daughter! I am very happy with your worship. I will give you the boon of being a beautiful and worthy son. Saying this Hanumanji disappeared. Immediately Anjali got up and offered bhog to Hanumanji and had food herself.
