The clock tower is about 1.2 km from railway station.. its a nice place to visit in evening and morning..there are so many shops you can visit and can do some shopping..

Ghanta ghar surrounds one of the busiest market in Jodhpur. With the view of magnificent Mehrangarh Fort in the background. You can shop for local things and do sight seeing at the same time. Dont forget to try some chat at the local shops and have chai when in the market. Bargain as much as possible because hey, In India, anyone should not buy anything without some bargaining. The vendors keep the prices high for foreigners, You can buy the same thing at half price or even cheaper if you bargain. 😉

Its a good place to see but they charge entry for a place which is not kept clean or light up every day. Dont know what the charge for. They did not even give us a receipt for the ticket.

Shahi samosa is right outside ghantaghar where one can have delicious samosas and mirichi vada. There is also a very very famous lassi shop right at the entrance of ghantaghar. Its just an old market place used as a landmark. It has some history but no one to maintain it. Place is dirty and crowded(sardar market). Before you even approach and look at the monument, hoard of people will jump on you convincing you to take a look at the original shop for local baandhnies and dresses. You cant have a peaceful time here.
