Club Mahindra Resort Jodhpur
Hotel Pratap Niwas, Jhalamand, Jodhpur, Rajasthan 342013, India
Review №1

Hardly any thing about the property other than the grandeur of the palace. Torn bed sheets, creaking and Indifferent staff.

Review №2

Good experience!! great Stay! Gives a feeling of staying in a Palace !!

Review №3

Needs improvement and more fun and activities for the kids.

Review №4

Awesome placeFood is a different storyI wish it reduce the price so we dont have to go look for a food outside

Review №5

Never go by looks of property. Leaving the FNB manager orientation towards service, rest of staff doesnt understand hospitality service. Room are nice but cleanliness is zero

Review №6

If you like props, go for it. Other than the beautiful building, everything else sucks. The housekeeping was abysmal, and the trainee housekeeper is more interested in collecting tips rather than working. And if you dont tip, hell see to it that you pay for it. I had to literally beg for drinking water, and the reception isnt of much use either. Rooms get cleaned only after repeated requests, and I include photos to show how they make beds. The resort is in the middle of nowhere, so they charge exorbitantly for food. The housekeeping staff are untrained, especially the ones in room service. The travel desk is another place where they fleece you, charging almost double of what taxis do. Ola and Uber are just names for hiring ; the cab driver will charge whatever he wants. Unless you have your own vehicle, strictly avoid going to this place. And yes- carry your own water as the RO water is served in cannisters that trickle out water , maybe because there isnt time to clean them. In short - AVOID the place.

Stayed at the property for a couple of nights during our visit to jodhpur. The property is located on the outskirts of the city and converted into a hotel from an old palace. While the property is surely huge, the same is not in a well managed condition. The rooms vary in size and its purely your luck or your negotiation power that decides which room you get. The property being far away from the city centre is not easily accessible and you have no choice but to buy meals at the place. We had many unpleasant experiences while staying at the property, some of which are being shared publicly for the benefit of all.Check in - We had done the entire Check in process online on the App to avoide any contact or wastage of time on arrival. However on arrival we were told the hotel does not have access to online checkins and entire process needs to be done manually again.Special Occasion : We were celebrating members birthday and had requested for a surprise celebration. The request was rejected bluntly.Cable TV in room : At the time of room allotment we were told that there is an issue with weather and the cable TV is not functioning. On checking we realised that cable was working in some rooms and not functioning in many other rooms. The issue was not with weather but something else that the hotel tried to hide.Rooms: While the rooms are palatial and have historic touch, there was huge issue with cleanliness. All lines and fabric had dust accumulated on it. On complaining, the CM executive acknowledged the issue but said was helpless due to weather.During our stay the AC of our room suddenly stopped functioning. After realising and waiting for a few hours the team acknowledged that there was some fault with cooling system and they shifted us to another room. Not to mention the new room was far below the original room alloted. When we inquired we were told all rooms are different and there was no standard room type.Ammenties : A lot of ammenties and functionalities were for name sake. The children play area was far below average and there were hardly anything to spend time on.Service : Completely laid back and you could hardly expect anyone to visit your room. A few request were made for Bucket, Cup Sauccer, coffee sachets etc. None of it were addressed. They would hear you and just forget about it.All in all not a club mahindra standard resort. With experiences such as this we feel really let down as CM member and believe that CM is spoiling its reputation by having such affiliated properties on its list. No member should be offered such properties or service after paying so much for membership. Having excess staff in owned properties and only skeletal staff at affiliate properties is not working well.

Review №8

Food is good, if youre in group you will enjoy Rajasthani village and its local food with in resort. But they need to improve in room services

Review №9

Rooms were at 2nd floor... Bit hard to climb 2floor everytime.. Lift provision not there

Review №10

Worst food ever in my life..even they dont provide buffet system and dont think that its club mahindra its only tie up with them so service and rooms are also not upto the mark and even club mahindra memeber is not taking responsibility for that @clubmahindra

Review №11

The worst place to stay. Club Mahindra is the worst company. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Bad food quality bad services. I didn’t like the place at all.

Review №12

Should also provide Wi-Fi in rooms

Review №13

A beautiful aesthetic property. The rooms were spacious, house keeping was responsive and polite and the food was good and reasonably priced. It would have been a 5 star stay but am taking away two stars for 2 reasons:1. Maintanence, which is must for such an aesthetic property. The kettle in my room was broken, AC wasnt cooling properly for the 1st night and the swimming pool and activity area was closed.2. Even if it is an associated property of Club Mahindra there has to be a Club Mahindra experience about it. Also, Club members should be able to avail their membership discounts and benefits.

Review №14

Very nice Heritage property. Must Visit.

Review №15

Nice property.. but service needs to be improved.. cute small swimming pool.. cleanliness is also ok.. evening folk music is cool.. they serve barbecue and other food m mocktails over there, thats also very awesome.. little outside of the city.. no food joints available nearby.. resort food is good but expensive..

Review №16

It’s day1 and it’s already quite disappointing especially if you’re a Club Mahindra member. There is no club Mahindra feels to it. The staff refused for tee and food menu just because they were busy. I mean really???I’ve always appreciated Club Mahindra but this is by far the worse. If you’re planning to come here - plan having food outside (the staff might just refuse lol), get toiletries from home (because either they won’t be available or you ll be charged separately), expect no help from the staff -.- and lastly the location is too far from all the touristy place so plan accordingly :(

Review №17

We travelled on February 19th, 2021. The property is about half an hours travel from jodhpur city. Not much habitation and shops around. Quite isolated. Also, my wife and i, both had extreme diarrhea after eating in club mahindra. We requested for a few packets of ORS which took after 3 hours as they had to go to jodhpur to get it. Special mention to Mr. Altaf(Staff) who packed our bags, as we had no energy due to diarrhea, and helped us with check out. We had to be administered IV before boarding our flight back to Bangalore. Not upto Club Mahindra Standard. Wouldnt stay here, wouldnt recommend it as well.

Review №18

We stayed for 2 days. I did not find the place worth Mahindra brand. Why total darkness outside? No proper greenery and cleanliness.

Review №19

Good place. Store here in club Mahindra is fantastic with great collection of ethics dresses and affordable price. Special thanks to Mr devendra

Review №20

PROSBeautiful roomCONSFar far away from the main attractions and the city. About 15-18km.Offers traditional Rajasthani food, but the place is soo secluded and dark. The food was below average and gave us food poisoning. Not to mention, food is over priced. ( wouldn’t have been a problem if it did not make us sick)Same place, the dancer/performer kept smoking in between his performance. Was probably high or drunk and behaved extremely weird.Hot water has limited timings and the timings are not even told to us when we checked in. Even during the timings hot water is not available. They literally have expect us to wait and waste as many as 10 buckets of cold water before we can get mildly hot water.House keeping is slow and inefficient. Some of the front desk staff back talk and argue or just don’t talk politely.Overall stay was a disappointment.Do not recommend.

Review №21

A serene location with a ambience of Cultural Heritage. One can spend memorable evening with dear ones in the backdrop of Monumental type structure with the Rajasthani folk music.

Review №22

Good ambiance with heritage property

Review №23

Very poor response from club Mahindra support from local club Mahindra official. It was simple hotel stay at Pratap Niwas, which we could have booked on our own. No Club Mahindra advantage.

Review №24

It is of course good. It is an affilliate property so some of the club mahindra facilities may not be available. The best thing about the resort is its palacial ambience.

Review №25

Nice traditional set up.Very cooperative staff, and tasty food.Try Gatta,a Rajasthan dish.Wow,wow,wow.The ambience is mesmerizing.Kudos.Highly recommended for families and female solo travellers.Safe place.

Review №26

An excellent heritage property. Fairly large rooms and bathrooms, unfortunately no great view from the windows. Also, no balconies. But you can go to the terrace for a good view around. Nothing much to write about food, very ordinary...Hospitality is missing in some of these club mahindra properties. But for Yashwant Singh at the front desk rest of them need to be trained to have a smile on their face, greet guests when they come across them in the lobby.

Review №27

I really liked everything- hospitality services, food, special thanks to kuldeep Ji and team along with sunil Ji for giving us great experience with their polite gestures and the way you handled every situation was fantastic. Thanks club mahindra-

Review №28

Pratap Niwas was the best place that I chose on my first solo trip❤️The ambience is great and the service was good too!The Chokhi daani experience was mesmerising and will stay inked in my heart forever✨

Review №29

Horrible service, nothing in the resort is functional except restaurant.

Review №30

Lavish vacation and feeling like stay in heritage location...

Review №31

This Place is beautiful. If you like the old world charm, then this is the place to be in.Old Rajasthani Haveli.Comfortable.Family friendly.Recommended for Solo travellers also.Very safe.

Review №32

Nice stay but costly affair

Review №33

One of the worst service. Very poor maintenance. AC is not working at all. There is no responsible person to listen any complaint.

Review №34

Not a good property. Maintenance is bad . Staff not good. Washroom fixtures were broken and not got repaired till we checked out.

Review №35

Good huge rooms

Review №36

Gr8 resort. Good courteous staff

Review №37

Hi all,we went to jodhpur to celebrate new year2021,when we read d reviews about pratapniwas we thought all d negative comments are hyperbolic and we being very positive thought not to pay heed to it.Sadly we found very bad service at pratapniwas, they forced us to pay 6000 for new year although our tour was booked fr dessert safari,it was mandatory and compulsory according to the staff. On checking out we were demanded 1500 fr extra child(daughter 15 yrs old)per day although we were told 1000 rs earlier, when we argued they made it 1000 plus 18% taxes (which they were not charging with 1500 per day).Last but not the least they were constantly demeaning club mahindra clients.....So my overall experience was very bad, sorry to write bad comments.I never do so,this is d first negative comment I m jotting down...🤐🤐😒Mahindra guys plz upgrade it or change your address in jodhpur.Hair drier was not working, drain was choked, there was no kitchen facility.I will grade it 1/10.

Review №38

Property is good but takeover isn’t good

Review №39

Club Mahindra Pratap Niwas Jodhpur is an Associate Resort of Club Mahindra. We stayed there for two Nights in Nov first week. The Resort has 40 Rooms . It is Built like a Palace and falls in the Heritage Rest Category. Being Covid times The Occupancy was around 50 % . The Service is Good. The Restaurant Menu is not Elaborate but well balanced. The Staff is helpful. In addition to the normal Games like TT, Cricket , Horse Riding and ATB ride is also available.

Review №40

Rooms are spacious and good..the Service is good ....but the Club Mahindra feel is missing as this is an affiliate Hotel...

Review №41

Place is good , must visit it is away from city perfect for weekend

Review №42

Very good property

Review №43

Excellent ServiceExcellent FoodExcellent support from StaffPlease Do Visit

Review №44

Worst service and food. Never go there

Review №45

Good place to stay. tasty food to eat and very cooperating staff. Young boys who clean rooms are very sweet and they clean rooms good. Very humble and gr8 to see their smiling face. Will visit again .

Review №46

The food was extremely tasteless and too oily and heavy. Both my wife and myself suffered with food poisening the second day of eating there and had to return immediately. They dont have any transport available for emergency and it takes an hour to call for a vehicle from the city which is far from hotel. The serving staff in restaurant is untrained to cater to special needs and are most unhelpful to go out of way.Not recommended for persons with special needs

Review №47

Great rooms and superb food quality

Review №48

A lot of activities are there , and hotel is nice , and the rooms are also huge

Review №49

A well managed hired property of Club Mahindra. The well mannered staff makes you feel like you are actually royal guests. Food is well prepared & served. Evenings are great if you are listening to the local singers who perform every night in the central courtyard.

Review №50

Very bad service.

Review №51

Room clearness not good and average site location

Review №52

Poor service not satisfied

Review №53

Well, one thing is there, however small or big the property is, Club Mahindra never ceases to surprise you with the excellent quality of food. The Jodhpur Club Mahindra is one of the smallest properties I have visited so far but it was not a disappointment. The rooms were decorated with very royal and ancient looks. They had high ceilings with walls and niches all hand painted in traditional Rajasthani motifs. The rooms were very clean and the closets and other furniture had the old wooden furniture look with Mahogany like finish on the surface of the wood. The staff was very polite and helpful. They have an evening show of live music everyday where they have a few local artists sing the local songs and play local instruments. They have a big courtyard in the middle of the property and since I visited in the month of February, it was fun to sit in the sunlight in the morning time. They do lack the playing zone and just have one swimming pool. But the traditional marwari food spot makes up for everything. Make sure you visit and have that awesome food with amazing ambience and brilliant hospitality.

Review №54

Club Mahindra should be ashamed of them self. The property has 38 rooms all are given to club Mahindra even then it’s an affiliate. People come to resorts to relax and rejuvenate but ever since we checked in there is some part or other going on. Yesterday there was a wedding in the lawn which was well beyond 10pm more like 1 pm loud music disturbing sleep. Today we try to relax near the pool and there is pool party for some locals going on who seem to enjoy loud music again. Why do you guys affiliate with such places where your guests can’t relax. They have found ways to earn money in every way possible but have stopped caring about guests.

Review №55

Our first Rajasthan trip and loved the hotelNov 19-21: We were to reach Jodhpur the day before but due to flight cancellation, reached the next day. This was followed by a long drive as this Club Mahindra property is on the outskirts of the city. However, on reaching the hotel, there was a feeling of wow. On checking our room, it was like really wow. The rooms are super sized with a really big bed. The bathroom was lovely. The property is not too big but well maintained. There is a swimming pool and one restaurant.Do visit the terrace - got lovely views and makes for great pictures. The service is good and we were taken care of. The only negative point, if i can say that, is that it is located on the outskirts and one will need a vehicle to go around Jodhpur.

Review №56

Nice property. Good for relaxing. Out of town. U Will not find anything outside be it a food or drinks. Within resorts it is good. But no gym.

Review №57

A beautiful property but poor management control which by Private owner, A lot can be done especially the knowledge of Club Mahindra need to be deployed

Review №58

The palace is beautiful but anyone expecting club Mahindra will be disappointed. Not only the place is not their property but they dont even have the level of hospitality Rajasthan is famous for. Instead of humbly handling the guests, they rudely talk to them, clicking pictures of the things they incidentally done wrong. My family had no idea that induction was not allowed on this property and since its allowed in Mahindra estate we brought it with us. Not only they confiscated the thing, they talked quite rudely and clicked pictures for I dont know what. I am an avid traveler but havent seen such behaviour. Never ever for a Mahindra member and if you expect hospitality worthy enough for your money, dont step on this property.

Review №59

This place is way too good as compared to other Club Mahindra resorts I have been so far. The rooms are royal. The palace is beautiful inside out. The design is such that you just enter this place and the fresh flower fragrance welcomes you. The gardens too have fragrant grass, so you are always surrounded by a natural light relaxing aroma. The architectural marvel doesnt end there. The palace is made of Red Sand Stones that keeps the palace cooler by atleast 5-10℃ than outer atmosphere. As it is this area is cooler when compared to main Jodhpur city because of the maintained greenery. The kitchen offers real good food and the prices are real value for money. I havent been to a club Mahindra property where food is this reasonably priced. The palace is also not so isolated from main city as usual club Mahindra properties. So overall it is the best Club Mahindra properties I have seen so far.The negatives are : pool is small and is 4.5 deep all over. So a kid below 7-8 years old cant enjoy without help of some elder. The singers in evening perform live in main court of palace. But songs are all what you get across Rajasthan; be it resorts, forts, tents, safaris. The souvenir shop is bit over priced but reasonably so, most shops in and around palaces or forts are priced a bit upwards than other local shops.

Review №60

Its location is very good, just in the city. So you can go to restaurants in case one wants to have food outside. The hotel design is like a fort. Though i had some issues with hotel staff while checking out. That is the only negative point about this resort. Staff is not cooperative

Review №61

Was a very nice stay

Review №62

Beautifully devloped property. Its away from city carry your own vehicle

Review №63

Excellent service we got, as we ask Jain food, they provide best Jain food.staff provided very good service. Specially Gudia is very courteous. We enjoy three days stay.

Review №64

This property is like a stay in a palace.Goods sold in at this place is cheaper then out side. So prefer to buy good quality products at best rates.

Review №65

Spacious rooms, well attended service, good food and above all very responsive courteous staff. Real value for money

Review №66

A very good hotel. A little pricey. good food but the service is very slow

Review №67

Resort looks beautiful, but the basics are missing. Like dust on the carvings of the luxurious beds. Food is spicy and they are understaffed.. every request takes much longer than needed, like water refill or providing towels takes more than one reminder..

Review №68

Fully Owned hotel by Club Mahindra. Big room. Outside pool and children play area together. Good food. Awesome interiors, Jhumers,

Review №69

Mahindra hotel jodhpur was great. And room service was fast and good.. food was great.

Review №70

An evening spent in royalty... I woild like to thank Mr.Hemant Singh for recommending this place. This place is amazing and pampers you with its royal treatment. First and foremost the view is so mesmerizing that you ought to get awestruck. The restaurant is village themed and they are right on money. Live performances from local villagers just makes it more beautiful. Lastly the food is tasty and wholesome. The managers took extra care for our little one year old princess. A must visit place in your jodhpur iternary. Highly recommended

Review №71

Better than any other palace in jodhpur.

Review №72

Very good property, Helping staff

Review №73

Very palatial feel to the resort. Great food. Cleanliness and room service is not upto the mark. Pigeon droppings everywhere

Review №74

Disappointed with the attitude of the front office guy. Refuse to show me the rooms even though they were unoccupied. I happen to be a Club Mahindra member and it was not as if I just walked in out of nowhere and asked him to show me the rooms.

Review №75

Its really a awesome one Pratap Niwas! King size bed, big washrooms. Live like king and its looks like a palace only

Review №76

One of the worst resorts from the club mahindra chain. The rooms are smelly and not properly ventilated. Neither they are well designed or furnished. The amenities are also a let down.

Review №77

First bad experience with club mahindra. Because this is an OUTSOURCED CLUB MAHINDRA. The hotel name is actually Pratap Niwas. Please DO NOT OPT FOR THIS.The hotel is not maintained... Toilets (WC) are blocked... Fans dont work... Rooms are dusty... Hotel staff is very arrogant. We had to shift to Marriott at 12AM because the hotel couldnt solve our problem of WC and the fan not working. Moreover they spoke so rudely that we felt extremely insulted.

Review №78

Excellent place to chill out. . Feel like staying in Maharajas haveli.

Review №79

Beautiful place to stay !Gives you a royal feeling .

Review №80

One of the best place in jaipur to spend your holidays

Review №81

Superb place nice place to stay and enjoy not a big resort but good place all this was good after change of room as initially alloted room had marriage music disturbance and i had to force for room change for which reception was not ready but had to ask him to call for resort manager who changed the room after claiming marriage sound is not in there control.

Review №82

Its looks like a heritage, and maintained in proper way.

Review №83

2 Stars just for the resort property, vintage cars, lighting at night and folk singers. One of the most #disappointing #ClumMahindra #resort till now. No good room service. No friendly staff like other resorts I have visited. Food is okaish.

Review №84

I was on a free package due to my friend having membership through his firm. The place is easily 15-18 km from main jodhpur city depending on where you are. The area is not having any good eateries outside. Club Mahindra maintains the palace and honestly only the front face of the hotel is good, rest I wont think will awe you if you have seen and been to proper palaces for the charges club Mahindra has. Food is good depending on what you eat at nominal costs. Things to do at the palace hotel are horse riding in a very small area, you can get near to the horses and care... Chess can be something you can do near the swimming pool. Evening time they organize the live performance by local band, this is goodCost wise - not effective for price you end up paying

Review №85

The more i say, the less it feels. This is an ammazing place. A heritage palace turned into resort. Very hospitable staff and beautifully maintained resort. If you are visiting jodhpur, you must stay here.

Review №86

Amazing property 😍

Review №87

Excellent service , amazing food.

Review №88

Good resort. Food quality is much better outside, in the city.

Review №89

Very comfortable stay and courtious staff.

Review №90

Pathetic Hotel. Not even 1 star. They offer stale food and Food poisoning can not be avoided. Your Holiday will turn into disaster.Stuff members are negative and illiterate. No games are there. My experience is worst and it is worst Club Mahindra

Review №91

This is not an exciting place. Services are below average. Amenities below average. Stay is below average. Rooms are just average.Definitely a NO to this place.

Review №92

Excellent Resort. Curtious staff. Good food. Superb please for lazy vacation

Review №93

Worst service, at the check in - no welcome, no welcome drink no luggage boy. manager name Jatu at buffet area is very arrogant and unethical. Complained at the reception but no action was taken. General manager is only busy in enjoying his salary. Club Mahindra is giving very poor service.. want to change to purple season but after this service, will say no and would not recommend to any one..Avoid avoid avoid

Review №94

The place is really grand, makes you feel part of the history, rooms are great, washrooms are modern and huge, evening cultural program was really good, the food was a big let down whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinnerSouvenair shop also had decent collection at reasonable price. This trip could have been fantastic had the food not been really pathetic.

Review №95

It is not like other Club Mahindra property, not upto the standard of club Mahindra. The staff, management, every thing is managed by third party. I think Club Mahindra is just doing the booking for Pratap Niwas. We are going here just the brand Club Mahindra.

Review №96

The palace is beautiful, but is about half an hours drive from the city. The service at the resort is not what I would expect from a Club Mahindra property. The room dining menu is terribly malnourished and the staff are incapable of conversing in English. The room was nice and comfortable and the palace provides excellent photography opportunities!

Review №97

Haveli styled resort with a lot of open space, evening entertainment and decent service. The shops selling local goods is well managed and sells articles at reasonable prices. Front desk is a bit slow and Traveldesk is very expensive. Restaurant service is accompanied by a smile.

Review №98

Cozy palace. Royal feeling. Lost one star due to bad services

Review №99

Great place. Far from the main city so traveling can be an issue. Food was good.

Review №100
