Its believed that Masjid - e - Hadid of Jharsuguda is only 2nd in entire Asia, which is built of Iron frame. Thats why, it is called Masjid - e - Hadid or Mosque of Iron. It was built by a Gujarati person, who was resident of Sambalpur ( Odisha ). The beauty of this mosque lies in the Dome, a minaret and ceiling of Prayer hall. The entire structure is unique in its Concept and Design. Though, a small in size, in comparison to other mosques, which we see around, its one of its kind. If you believe the people associated with this place, the entire structure ( mosque ) can be moved to other place, if required.
